My husband and I enjoyed our stay despite some of the poor reviews for this accommodation. Ricardo, on reception, was very welcoming and pointed out various places of interest and offered suggestions for restaurants. We had a twin room on the ground floor overlooking the railway. Once the shutters were down this was not a problem. The trains did not run through the night anyway. Beds clean and comfortable and we had Krups coffee pod machine and kettle for tea. Also a fridge. TV had Italian programmes but found a music channel and You Tube. The accommodation is close to Cenisio Metro which is a new driverless link which even the grown ups wanted to sit at the front to "drive" definitely worth a ride. We found travel with the 24 hour ticket good and could purchase at the stations. Travelled from Bergamo airport by bus (10 euros return) took about an hour. Very comfortable and reliable. Found the Offside Pub on the last night. Very friendly place and highly recommend a visit.
Very stylish lobby and rooms, clearly been refurbished recently. Great first impression - staff on reception fantastic, on arrival gave us a map and showed us their recommendations with lots of welcome advice! Room spotlessly clean with good facilities, kitchenette, lounge corner with TV (no English channels mind) and good shower. Maids came every other day which was fine for us. Location was great - just a few mins walk from the Metro and tram. We didnt notice any prostitutes as other users have mentioned! Negatives - train noise at night due to being next to the railway yard, also we couldnt work out the oven and neither could reception (we pan fried the pizza lol!). Overall very happy for what we paid - would gladly recommend!
Where do I start! The man on reception when we arrived was really polite and helpful. The other reception staff could do with taking a leaf out of his book as they were the total opposite! We were there for 4 nights and no cleaner came near the room to change any linen, including towels. I can hear some of you say what do you expect for the money but we have stayed in other such residences and had full cleaning service included. The room was shabby, the skirting boards were off the walls with nails sticking out, I have stayed in better decorated and cleaner Formula 1's and Budget Ibis before! One good point the metro was nice and close to get you into the Centre. Obviously great for youngsters, makes me sound old but the majority of other guests we saw were young people and they were very noisy. It was like a posh hostel! We booked it, as i have mentioned before, as we have stayed in other residences but this did not come up to expectations at all.
Not a hotel. Kind of apartments, cleaned only every three days, dirty curtains, no hangers for clothes, asked three times for them, never came. If only if was cheap. No restaurant, no breakfast. Just avoid it.
A clean and spacious apartment, very close to the metro station-Cenisio is like 5min walk-. The flat is fitted with anything you would need in your own house( full equipped kitchen with pans, glasses, plates and cuttlery, microwave, oven, washing machine). Two good restaurants nearby ( I personally would recommend Pepe Verde). The area is safe and it takes only 7min by metro to reach the city centre) . I will be happy to return!
We really did enjoyed this one. There were two spacious rooms and a bathroom with no problems at all. Staff was very friendly and they borrowed us some things. Near a metro station. Great curtains, they can make pitch black in the rooms. No problems with the sound from the trains.
I stayed so many hotels. most unfriendly receptionist ever .. very bad experience in this hotel.. dirty - noisy place.. (even i ask quite room) couldn't sleep because noise.. I will never go back this hotel ..
We paid 250 euro + for this super basic hotel / motel. There is a kitchen - but not even a kettle, toaster or glass to drink out of. There were towels. No hangers for clithes and when we asked for some they laughed... no lights in the hallways. It was pitch black coming back at night. We are leaving first thing tomorrow... this place is terrible ...
Me and my friend stayed here two nights and we booked the apartment room which worked out so well. The apartment was really nice, had everything needed and such good space; all rooms were clean. The location of the hotel is pretty quiet; there isn't much to do in cenisio, no local bars/restaurants - there was a supermarket which was about 10 minutes walking so not too bad. However, talking about location - it is very easy to travel to central and other areas as metro station is 5 min walk- takes about 15 min in all to go central. The only thing about the hotel which we didn't like which was pretty annoying was the internet! We stayed on ground floor so you would think internet would work better that way but it was very poor which was sad as internet in needed when traveling. But overall very decent place and would happily go back again only if internet improves ;)
Booked it online and the pictures appeared reasonable. However, upon reaching the accommodation, it was a real disappointment. Everything looked tired and old. Think twice before proceeding. Plus points - pretty close to metro - free private parking - large apartment Minus points - very old and poorly maintained - close to railway tracks, very noisy in the night - heater and a/c do not work, can be very cold or hot, too uncomfortable - shower only has a small curtain which do not keep the water within showering area, leading to mini floods after showering - stale smell in the apartment - mattress firmness was extreme, almost like sleeping on the floor - accommodation is located in a dodgy neighbourhood, can be intimidating to walk in the night - staff not too hospitable - need to pay extra city tax, not inclusive in room price
