We boooked our stay using Carlson points for two nights. We were upgraded to a suite on arrival. That alone set the pace for the stay. The staff throughout was very helpful and friendly. The room , a suite, was spacious. The entry are had a sofa and chair, large TV, safe and fridge. All large and roomy. The bedroom had a king bed and TV, with the best duvet ever. Extremely comfortable bed. Quiet and the drapes blocked all light. Then the bathroom. Immense. Large vanity, large sinks, and room for my wife to spread out all her toiletries with plenty left over for me. All tile decor. And a very large tub. And then there was the shower in a separate alcove. At least 10 feet long and 5 or 6 feet wide. Definitely not your typical Italian shower. The usual had held shower as well as a foot diameter overhead shower. Great towels and bathrobes too. We did not use the restaurant for any meals but what we saw, and the menu, looked good. The hotel is 5 kilometers out of the center but that was not a problem. There's a tram as well as a train that connects to the metro. The train is a 5 minute walk or so. It's a three stop ride to the metro connection, and then a two stop ride to the Duomo stop. A taxi would run about 20 Euros. We found the train and metro option very convenient and cheap. We bough a 48 hour ticket each for 8.50 Euros which gave us unlimited travel on all transportation in the city, a very good deal which we used a lot. When we left for Linate airport the hotel arranged a car for us as we had an early morning departure. The price, 45 Euros, was very reasonable versus a taxi This hotel is a definite gem for any stay length.
This has to be one of the best 4-star hotel experiences we've had. The staff was fantastic staff; they gave us a complimentary upgrade to a suite. The bed, pillows, towels and linens were of exceptional quality and comfort. The suite was immaculately clean and modern. We only stayed one night and really hated to leave. Our only word of caution for those visiting Milan is that the location is not exactly walking distance to Milan's attractions, but the local train station is convenient; just hope they are running the day you need them (check ahead for scheduled train strikes).
we stayed twice in this hotel it's very neat clean hotel centrally located and with well mannered polite staff especially donna at front desk, i will strongly recommend this hotel to stay in milan as it is in my view the best hotel with very neat and clean rooms its value for money
Good hotel, decent food, good place if you wish to visit Milano. I had an accessible room that was quite okay, albeit soaking wet after taking a shower. My telephone booking had not been properly processed, but that was easily fixed on site and we got a reduced rate for the rooms. I experienced firsthand that the pricing of the rooms can be somewhat, errr, inconsistent. It pays of to browse for a good price, including calling the hotel itself.
Wonderful bathroom with one of our life´s best showers, amazing pillows and great view from the 8th floor. Beds maybe a little hard but that´s my personal opinion. Breakfast was awesome, especially since they'll make anything you ask for omelets, coffees etc. As always I'm a little disappointed in the fried sausages but that's almost everywhere in the world.
A mini microwave oven in the business class room atleast, is a must. Complimentary bottled water must be given for all nights, not just the first night. Toiletries should include dental care items as well. Rest is just perfect!
I stayed two weeknights at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Milan, receiving an upgrade to a quiet junior suite on the seventh floor. The room is sizable, with a separate living area from the sleeping area, and a very large bathroom with a uniquely large walk-in shower. I arrived a few hours before normal check-in and was accommodated immediately with check-in by the friendly staff. A buffet breakfast is available in the morning hours with eggs and coffee made to order. Please note that if you're parking a car that you must check in first and then you may use your room key to access the garage, which is approximately 200 meters from the hotel entrance but leads you directly below Reception. Unfortunately, the hotel is about 6 km to the city centre. However, a 500-meter walk to the train station on line S5 or S6 and a connection to the metro line M3 gets you to the Plaza del Duomo in less than 20 minutes. €4.50 grants you a 24-hour transportation ticket and can be purchased from Reception or local Tobacco shops.
Very helpful and friendly staff, great stay from beginning to the end. We received a very warm welcome already at our arrival (by car). Although we were too early, we immediately received a room and had a very smooth check in. The hotel is very well located, just outside the city centre, which is very convenient when travelling by car (no special permits needed for driving in Milan). Easy access to city centre by tram, and tickets can be bought at reception. Great breakfast and very comfortable and silent rooms.
I've stayed at this hotel during a long weekend shopping trip. I was more than satisfied and the hotel certainly exceeded my expectations. The lobby is nicely decorated, the reception staff exceedingly friendly and helpful.Room was spacious, clean and well serviced. Bathroom was also big and pleasant. There was a problem with the shower in the bathtub which wasn't working properly, but I had another separate shower cabin. So no problem. Spa and pool area is nice and well maintained- I had a swim on a rainy day when I could not get out. Breakfast buffet was versatile, you could oder eggs from the kitchen. Wehen I visited it was really full but still the staff managed to serve you in a reasonable time. The only problem is that the hotel is not central. Tram is directly in front of the hotel but it still takes you half an hour to reach Piazza Duomo. I could live with that but it might not be ideal for somebody else. All in all, great value for moneay and I would gladly return.
The hotel pleasantly surprised me - excellent value, spotlessly clean and with great facilities. The gym and pool were very welcome after a long day walking around the city. The only slight drawback this hotel has is that it's located slightly out of town, meaning it is necessary to travel to the city centre rather than just walk - this is easily overcome though: the tram (number 12) is 100 metres from the front door and speedy and cheap enough to use regularly. In a nutshell, would recommend!
