I waited 3 hours to check in as they told me they were working on my room. Then when I told them I will leave, they immediately finished cleaning it. The staff said a lot but was not very helpful.

This was the best and most convenient location I could have picked. The service was wonderful. The room was great. The location was perfect, especially for us coming into Milan by train and leaving the next day by train. The only thing was the mattress was a bit firm and pillow a bit thin for me but I still slept wonderfully. And the view…Wow. I’m adding a photo of the view.

Arrived& greated at the front desk & as the previous stay, we were moved. We got upgraded. 10 floor overlooking piazza & central station. Room decor modern, clean & a good size. Shower a bit small. But room comfy & good firm bed. Handy for metro & station to catch early morning train.

Unfortunately we were moved to another hotel as the HD8 was unable to accommodate as issues with some rooms. We were told. Other hotel Joy124 was good. They provided taxi to getus there. We've easked to be put up in HD8 on 31st as need to get to station in morning

Great location & staff, but disappointing. Not 4*!

The good: Location excellent! Directly across the road from Central Station so daytrips and travel was very easy. The staff were very courteous, businesslike and professional. The room and entire hotel was very clean. The not so good: This is not a 4 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination... no kettle tea/coffee making facilities unless you ask for them... and then when delivered (very promptly and courteously) there were no cups and no milk... just a kettle and a sachet of coffee or teabag. The breakfast room has fabulous views but the cost €16 is far more than what you'd pay over the road in central market... and closed in the evenings... there's no bar or lounge which as a solo traveller makes for quite a lonely stay. The room was stylishly minimal... minimal being the operative word as there were 5 hangers and 3 shelves... not much room for anything and the colours were dark and very gloomy. There are only 2 lifts serving 9 floors so the wait was ridiculously long at times to go down and out... I'd normally use the stairs but they were closed off with signs of "emergency use only" which was very annoying. All in all a great location and professional staff but not much else going for it... I was disappointed with my stay.

We enjoyed our return stay at HD8. Very convenient location which is walkable distance to transport. Plenty of eating places and grocers nearby. Staff always helpful. It would be nicer if kettle for tea and coffee is already available in the room (rather than having to ask for one). And also it would be nice if they don't charge baggage storage for guests who leave for a few day and return to stay.
