The hotel overall was excellent, the rooms were very comfortable and the ambiance was nice. The hotel is not in the center but 5 mins away from metro it's a bit near san siro but not very close so you wouldn't feel the noise or traffic I was lucky as Germany was playing against Italy and the German team was staying at the Hotel. Got some pics with the Manager and 2 other players. I would recommend this hotel.
Melia Milano was a great hotel to stay in during our trip to Milan. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The reception had a very pleasant ambience and the breakfast options were quite expansive. The hotel is not very centrally located but very convenient with the metro only about 5 mins walking distance itself. There was a good place for a quick run nearby. Had a plesant stay at the hotel!
the hotel overall was excellent, the rooms were very comfortable and the ambience was nice. Level one is a very good idea being an excellent place to chill out and relax. It is a pity the hotel doesn't have a pool but one can't have everything
Although this hotel is not right in the centre, it is 5 minutes walk to the Metro. The receptionist on arrival was great, and told us where to go and what to do in the time that we were there. The bedroom was spacious - although no view. The attention to detail within the hotel is amazing. Breakfast was adequate, and you can order eggs. The room was lovely, it felt like you were in a gorgeous family home. We had dinner in the bar area one evening and was excellent - we would definitely stay again, thank you to all the staff for a lovely weekend.
We were delighted to return to the Melia Milano this year, after too many years of absence. The attention to detail and thorough maintenance of the (magnificent) common areas was heartening, as was the introduction of a new and well-resourced 24 hour lounge (The Level). We found the staff to be very professional and attentive, especially the front desk and breakfast teams. A family birthday was discreetly marked by cakes in the room and a note from the management - a nice touch, especially for a business orientated hotel. Close proximity to Lotto station makes this a convenient base for shopping and excursions to the lakes.
This hotel was more than we expected. The rooms are spacious. The light controls, sitting room, and complimentary mobile phones were just a few of the impressive amenities. This hotel is very close to a train station. The breakfast was also delicious. I highly recommend anyone choose this hotel while staying in Milan.
It was the 2nd time that I stayed in Melia Milano again for business trip. This time I stayed getting the premium services of "level1". This means a much bigger room, with small living room. Access to the private lobby for breakfast and for free refreshment, coffee and drinks. Additionally there was a 4G device where the data was free in order to use it, in case you don't have access from your mobile. The room was again very clean. The personnel was very polite and helpful! I actually had small surprise (special sweet and a glass of champagne) because of my birthday. The only minor disadvantage was the variety of the breakfast, comparing to the normal services. Nevertheless I fully insist this hotel for business and for tourism(nearby metro station will lead you directly to downtown).
The decor is lovely and the rooms are great size for European standards. The lights in my room were controlled by a panel next to the bed. Nice robe and slipper set. My only marks would be that the lighting in the rooms was a little dim without sunlight and there wasn't a kettle in the room, which I'm sure they would have brought if I asked. There is a grocery store around the corner and a good spot for drinks and apps across the street.
After having to rebook us for our flight home, United transferred us on the phone to Hotels.com or the like (for a discount on our hotel booking in Milan), which offered us a stay at the Melia for 169 or the like (no discount, I discovered after looking up the hotel immediately after the phone conversation ended). I felt like a dupe, but was too tired and anxious from our ordeal with the flight issues to care much. The hotel itself is fine, sometimes very pleasant. The staff were all very good and helpful. We had very good cocktails at the in-house bar. Food was okay, nothing very exciting. The location was unfortunate because we had only one night to stay and did not want to take yet another cab into town, so we just lurked around the kind of weird, ghost town-ish business section of Milan. Then, in the morning, we had to pay 100 euros to get to the airport. Realizing all of this, I was again annoyed at the travel agent who booked us there. If I could do it again, for our circumstances, I would have booked us at an airport hotel. If we were at a conference or doing business, I'm sure it would have been a fine choice. But we just felt stranded. The highlight was the little restaurant bar across the street, Masaccio, which had some life in the evening.
I have been in Italy about 16 years ago. I stayed in 3-star hotel, Rome. I reminded my old memories. I thought the room was small and the breakfast was just supported bread and coffee to us. Here, Melia Milano gave me very touching services. The hotel has own parking facilities, so we didn't need to pay park fee. It's room was very clear, and amenities were well arranged. Breakfast was good and I was very happy to eat noodles. If I have the choice to visit Milano, I will go to this hotel.
