LHP Hotel Napoleon4.0 out of 5.0

I did a lot of review reading before I decided to stay in this hotel. So many of the hotels in Milan (and possibly in Italy in general) seem to be either very outdated and really in need of repair and updating or very expensive. Hotel Napoleon seemed to be a good mix of modern and affordable (although still quite expensive for a week night) but anything less expensive just looked to be very run down and dirty (or already booked out). The hotel is lovely. Staff were helpful (although they forgot to order my taxi to the airport in the morning but the problem was rectified fairly soon). Location is quite central with a long shopping street very close by. My bedroom was quite compact but was well laid out and was fairly recently updated. My bathroom had very little space to access the toilet. I had to rest my upper body on the sink. I'm not huge (although, I am currently a little overweight) but I would not like to be any bigger or it would have been a very uncomfortable experience! Breakfast was included and was ok. It's self service and there not a huge selection but I did get a nice mini waffle and nutella and also some fruit and yogurt. I would definitely stay here again.
Loved this hotel. We had a lovely room. Very contemporary. Breakfasts were excellent. Good variety of choice. Staff & service were efficient. Only a few minutes walk from the metro. On arrival we walked from the main train station to the hotel as it was such a beautiful day. Approx 20 mins.
Had a few days stay here 4 weeks ago. Could not fault it. Great staff, nice room, scrumptious breakfast and very close to metro. Reception staff very helpful. There are some lovely restaurants nearby.Would definitely stay here again!
The hotel is clean and very close to the subway. In a few stops you will be finding yourself in front of the Duomo. Breakfast is good with a lot of choices. The room had a good AC, it can be very hot in Milan.
Stayed for two nights before taking flight to Larnaca from Malpensa airport. Arrived by train into Milan Centrale it took about 12 or 15 minutes to walk to the hotel not difficult using Google. Hotel has modern decor throughout. Receptionist was very welcoming. We had a room on the ground floor, not huge but comfortable and quiet and with a good ensuite, very comfortable bed. Location we found to be excellent. Just around the corner from LIMA metro station on the red line which will easily get you to most of he main sites in the city. We bought a 48 hour pass for €8.25 you can use it on the metro trams and bus. Well worth it. Continental breakfast was included, was ok, not the best but still a good start to the day. On leaving we got the metro to CADORNA then the airport express to Malpensa, it stops at both terminals. Took approx 50 minutes from hotel to airport.
Perfect place if you want to stay closer enough to the center and the shopping street of Milan. Porta Venezia it's literally next steer, but the hotel it's located in a quiet place. Affordable prices as well, the wifi it's quiet strong in all the floors, but most important the staff it's super amazing. Alessandro, the guy on the front desk, it's so lovely and very helpful!
I loved staying here because the Lima metro station is just half a block away, which makes it very zippy and convenient. The hotel also features tall ceilings, wrought iron balconies, and very smart use of the space. There's chairs so you can enjoy your balcony and watch people pass by. Super clean and all the staff is friendly and helpful. We did not get a chance to try the breakfast because of other commitments. The location also features wonderful eateries at a walking distance and for those who like shopping, Via Buenos Aires is just at a stone's throw. The only thing I would change is that they over-perfume the rooms with those scents-on-a-bottle-with sticks. This was just too much; we had to leave it outside in the balcony overnight. Sometimes, just the smell of clean is enough. Definitely a repeat when returning to Milano!
We spent two nights here and loved the location. It's only about 150m from Lima Metro station, which makes it super easy to get around Milan. We also discovered a couple of great restaurants and bars within 200m, so we were very happy. The hotel itself is lovely. Small rooms, of course, but significantly bigger than many we've stayed in around Europe. We had French doors leading to a small balcony, which allowed us to let fresh air in. Our room looked onto the rear of other buildings, so no view to speak of. It was very quiet, we didn't hear any noise from outside or from other guests during our stay. The breakfast buffet was quite good and the staff very friendly and very helpful with advice on public transport and places to eat etc. It's only 4 Metro stops from Duomo, on the red line, and 3 stops (with one change to the green line) from Milano Centrale railway station, so really very well placed for tourists.
It was the best stay in Milan we have ever had, though we had luggage delay for 4 days. We are more than sure, if we were in the same situation somewhere else it would be irritating, but due to the hotel and staff we enjoyed staying in Milan. We would like to thank Alessandro for his willingness to help. He did his best and made a lot of efforts to to find our luggage. Besides, the hotel is in a very good location and the rooms are comfortable and clean.
We loved Hotel Napoleon! It was very modern and cute! Clean and friendly service and excellent location. Would highly recommend and would stay again. Only complaint is the room was a little warm, never cold, but we managed.
