Was there in May. The location is the best.Just 5 minutes to central station. I can walk to the Duomo in 35minutes if people want to. The lobby has contemporary arts. But the room is in 80-90's with a bit dated. But it was very clean that they changed the pillow case everyday. The staffs in reception or in restaurant are very helpful. The breakfast are very fresh. Lovely..
Everything was perfect. Loved the style of the hotel with quirky pieces of art everywhere. Room was small but comfortable and location was perfect. So close to train station, shopping streets and good restaurants and cafes. The restaurant down the road, Mamma Rosa's is such a treat. Bar services was good. Wifi was very good.
We spent three nights at the hotel and enjoyed our stay. The garbage truck on Monday before 6 am was a bit unpleasant but not the fault of the hotel. There were works in progress on the street out the front of the hotel however the workers were not there during the night so that t was ok. The hotel is a relatively short walk from the Milan Central station. It is advisable to check the way there before arrival as there are a few alternative ways to the hotel, some better than others. The desk staff, in fact all hotel personnel, were friendly and helpful and this made our stay more enjoyable. Our room overlooked the front of the hotel so there was not a great view, not that that mattered. The breakfast room was cheerfully decorated and the staff there greeted us and offered coffee when we were ready. The range of food was very good with cereals, fruit, yoghurt, pastries, vegetables, eggs, and toast providing a good start to the day. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would be happy to stay there again.
Stayed here for 4 nights. Lovely hotel. Found room to be smaller than expected but still was a base to explore Malan. Main shopping street is very close. Would advise the hop on hop of bus tour. The stop is a short walk from hotel. Breakfast is enough to get you started for the day. Hot food is limited. Toast. Scrambled eggs. Sausage and bacon. Lovely hotel. Parking is very limited and expensive. Lovely hotel would use it again.
The hotel is cosy, rooms are a little small but good and clean. Beds are comfy, breakfast is good. Staff is nice and helful. A bit expensive during fairs. 5 mnts walk to central station which is a big advantage.
Hotel Mediolanum is an easy accessible hotel from milano centrale station. Modern and colorful with very friendly staff. Clean, quiet and with good breakfast. Definitely recommended. Only negative the small elevators.
We needed an hotel near to the main station in Milan as we intended to use it as a base to go on excursions. We arrived at 12.00 and where greeted by Pasquel who booked us in even though we were early. His English was perfect and he was happy to give advice on getting around. Room was very clean as was the bathroom. My wife liked the full size bath. Bed was massive, fridge was full and lighting quirky. As continental breakfasts go it was excellent. So much to choose from and all fresh. We left early one morning and the waiter packed us a takeaway breakfast including cutlery. We used the bar on one night and again service was friendly and efficient. We would stay again.
I really was fascinated by the friendly staff and the modern, stylish outfit of the hotel and the rooms. I can recommend to all people who would like to have a clean and comfortable stay in Milan. Very close to the central station as well as to the Metro Station and the tram.
Hotel Mediolanum is a quaint and charming hotel. There are plenty of tight spaces (elevators) and bathroom..... but let me just talk about their lovely sumptuous breakfast spread that makes you want to jump out of bed and dash to the dinning table. For 2 mornings, I have been greeted "BONJOURNO" and led to my seat by a smiley kitchen chief, donned in tie and apron...he would ask me "would you like coffee?" And start to chat a bit "we talk about La Scalia opera". Now on to the smorgasbord of fresh food... bread, juice, eggs, meat, yogurt, vegetables, pastries.... Now, that's one way to start the day on the right foot! Everyone who works in the hotel is smiley and jovial.... really, I am always greeted with pearly whites. Just for that alone...I say.... Hotel Mediolanum gets 2 thumbs up!
Beautiful hotel with an incredible Kitch decore. Rooms are big and the staff is so attentive that they actually finish your sentences. It is not the closest hotel from the main attractions it's qualities vastly make up for it and the walk to the Duomo takes you through a beautiful park
