Great location but outdated

The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The common areas of the hotel were fine however our room was outdated and the beds were really old and uncomfortable but most bothersome was the dirty bathroom. This hotel is meant to be a four star hotel….. it definitely is not!! However the breakfast was good and the location was perfect.

Room was clean but the bathroom needs some repairs. Floor tiles were cracked and the vanity chipped and worn out. Not really a 4 star hotel.

The hotel was in a convenient location but the hotel was poorly kept. We did book a traditional/dated room however the room was dirty and wasn’t well kept. The wallpaper was peeling and the bathroom was filthy - hairs, mould and limescale. EU plug adapters are also not compatible at the hotel, you need specific Italian adaptors which wasn’t stated on the booking meaning we had to find a shop to buy a new adaptor. We raised issues with the hotel staff but they were very dismissive and said that’s the way it is.

The staff were wonderful, helpful and made our stay enjoyable. It's a great location and close to main attractions. Recommend their breakfast - delicious. The bed was a little hard - if you like a firm mattress it won't be an issue.

Our room was in complete disrepair! This property has not been updated in at least 10+ years. No real security! Anyone can walk in, the key is a real key and lock, no digital key card. The ceiling had a huge leak spot, the leak would drip down directly on the bed. The ceiling fixtures above the shower were falling apart, hanging down, barely holding on. the curtains were held up by ply wood and nails (looked like someone temporarily hung up). Our “tv” was actually just a computer monitor that was not plugged into anything, just powered on / off. The a/c did not move temperature up or down. The thermostat didn’t actually function, but at least air came out. The carpet was old, smelled terrible and had a gross feel to it. Any time we were in the room, we started sneezing and coughing like crazy. The ONLY good thing about the property, were the staff being friendly and the location to the duomo! I would never stay again

Incredibly outdated building and rooms. Carpets were wet as the water from the bathroom would leak out. Ironing facilities are not part of your room. There is a separate communal cupboard which you have to access - the worst part is there is only one for the whole hotel. While the staff were nice, the hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel.

We booked two rooms here and thought the rooms would be more modern and upgraded than they were based on the photos online. I guess we got older rooms. They also never explained the fact that there is one main light switch that controls everything including the air conditioning. It looks us half a sweaty night to figure it out.
