Since my last stay last year quite a few things have happened. The entrance has been renovated and there are new elevators. Construction is still ongoing. My room this time was a little bit small but for a business trip sufficient. Nicely renovated bathroom.
What this property lacks in location (aside from the fact that it's within a two minute walk to the Gioia metro station; and a 10 minutes walk to Centrale station), it makes up for in its hotel amenities and room! This is a great hotel choice, especially if you don't want to pay in excess of over €500/night in the city centre. Remember, you didn't come all the way to Milan/Italy to only stay in your hotel room all day. That said, the room we received for the two-night stay was spectacular - rivalling many rooms I have stayed at in North America. Sure, it was small (it's Europe after all) but it was SUPER high-tech. Touch screens for the A/C, lighting in the washroom etc. Everything was new and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was big for European/Italian standards and the lobby was welcoming. The elevator was super cool - you'll have to experience it to know what I am talking about. Oh, did we mention that there was A/C that actually worked in April (as it was unseasonably warm during our stay)? You might scratch your head and wonder why this is important, but having stayed at many a hotel in Europe with no A/C or that didn't turn it on because it wasn't officially summer yet, you too would be thankful for this property. The WiFi was also extremely fast and efficient and staff extremely nice - the housekeeping staff constantly greeted us with buongiorno every morning.
we had 1 night in this expensive hotel in Milan. The price are high they don't have a good value for money . The staff was friendly , the room was large and clean. The breakfast was included in the room rate , the food at the restaurant was not to our satisfaction.
Stayed four nights at this location near MIlan Central station and restaurants. Breakfast was very nice with good service restaurant staff. Front desk was nice and helpful, room was clean. Bar is right infor of the front door with people were coming and going all the time and the light was so bright not a nice place to have a drink after a long day at work! The front desk give us a piece of paper with instruction about wifi connection with super super super small font, no one can read it, even their staff can't read it. I had to take a picture with my phone then enlarge it to see.
Service at the hotel is very good. The reception was conscientious and helpful. If there was an issue, they would tend to it immediately. The breakfast was included and had everything from freshly squeezed juices to lovely coffee. The quality of food at the restaurant needs improvement though. The location of the hotel is great too, very close to the central station area.
I've been to this hotel twice on business. Location is excellent, right at train station and airport ... however, restaurant food is not good - better off each at the airport. Room is comfortable but noisy and rooms are usually very far from elevators - all carpeted so luggage dragging can be a chore. Okay for business not recommend for families.
We were there only for a day a few weeks back back. We arrived at 2pm and our room was not ready but was given alternate room on the 5th floor. The hotel is undergoing renovation. We were given a renovated room. Room is very modern with a tub with Jacuzzi which was not in working condition anyways. The hotel is very close to Milano Centrale station, about 10 mins by walk. There is also another metro station of the green line close by. All the main location are reachable by Metro
The hotel rooms are under renovation and there is some confusion on week days. The renovated rooms are small and not guest friendly. If you are claustrophobic you may consider avoiding this hotel. The bathrooms are small and with a whirl pool type of bath tab they are even smaller. There is no shower head from the ceiling or the wall only a telephone from the bath tab, and the water coming out alternates by itself from hot to freezing cold back to hot. It is a straggle to turn the bath tab faucets, you need both hands and a lot of strength. The TV is only 35 inches on the wall across the room from the bed, thus quite far away. Breakfast is good with good variety of choices. The hotel is 8 minutes walk from the Central Train Station, with several restaurants in the area.
We had 5 rooms for 9 days, and everything was perfect! Everyone on the staff was very helpful, the breakfast buffet was elaborate and delicious, and the rooms were newly renovated and very comfortable. The Gioia metro stop was a short walk away (less than 5 minutes), and it was on the M2 line with direct access to popular places like Brera, Cadorna station, and Mediolanum Forum. The Centrale metro and train station was also within walking distance (about 15 minutes or less). Overall, this was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at, and made our week in Milan very enjoyable!
I was hear with a friend November 2017 for a short weekend. Excellent and helpful receptionists throughout the weekend but other staff in the hotel just don't care. They don't say hello when you get in the lift together, at breakfast or on the corridors (not nice). The breakfast buffet had a lot of selection but the quality was just okay. Pastry where too stodgy and too sweet
