Loved the location of this hotel for a one day stay in Milan. A quick 5 minute walk to the train station. Our room had a king size bed that was very comfortable. We opted for the breakfast package and it did not disappoint. American breakfast and European breakfast all the food was good. Great staff were very welcoming and informative. Would definitely stay here again
Very good hotel, centrally located near the central train station. Our room was small, but nicely renovated. Beds were good, though the blankets were too warm for the season. Good shower. Breakfast was OK. Service was excellent throughout our stay, Mr. Francesco at the breakfast is particularly to be complimented. Recommended hotel we'll be back!.
Service and Quality is outstanding! The team was very friendly! although the facility is not close to the major attractions it is located very close to the Central station, and the metro is at walking distance. Very good choice for business and family!!
Location was perfect. Breakfast buffet was awesome. Walking distance from the central train station. Very clean and well kept hotel. Wonderful staff. The only thing lacking were the spacious elevators. But in an old historic European city, that's all you can get..
This hotel is about a 7 minute walk to Central Station so if you are arriving there you can just walk to the hotel easily. I could not believe how quiet the hotel was for having such a central location. They also had the best black out curtains I have ever seen. You can walk to 4 subway stops, 2 of which are at Central. Super easy to get everywhere from here. The room, on the 9th floor, had a king bed and a sofa. It was comfortable and provided a good nights sleep. I don't know if every room has this, or just the upgraded rooms, but I had the "Handy" phone in my room. I had that amenity before, in London and was so happy to see it here. It gives you free local and international calls as well as wifi. What a lifesaver to be able to use Google Maps and find restaurants while walking around The front desk staff were great and very helpful. The breakfast buffet was typical of European Hotels, eggs, sausage, cheese, pastries, etc. For what you pay this hotel is a great value.
I have had the pleasure of staying at the hotel on two occasions since the start of the room refurbishment project. The new design is wonderfully stylish and highly functional, in a relaxing colour palette. The updated bathroom is both practical and tasteful. I look forward to staying here again!
CHECK-IN - We pre-paid our rooms, and were asked to provide a credit card (chip with no pin is ok). - The hotel would pre-authorized about 50 euro. - We were told when we checked out, we needed to pay 5 euros of tax per person per night. - The receptionist asked everyone of us for our passport. - The lifts are very small! THE ROOM - The room has signs of aging. - There were slippers. - There was kettle and tea etc. - There is big bottle of hand-wash/shower gel intead of small bar soap. - In room wifi speed was good. - Remember to bring an electric plug converter and/or current converter, if you need it. !!! A bottle of water that had been opened, was left in the fridge. I am guessing it was left behind from the previous guest, and house keeping forgot to take it away. Thankfully about 1/4 of the water was gone, so it was very obvious it was opened, and we did not drink it by accident. According to the Four Points website, this hotel is 4 stars. The above incident proved that Four Points is not a four stars hotel. BREAKFAST - It was just ok. - There were different type of cakes and fruit pies. - There were salad and tomato too in additional to cold cut meat and cheese. - There were different types of croissants. - There were different types of small rolls. - There was no take away breakfast. We were there before it was opened. And was told there was some fruit pies (left over from previous day). GUEST COMPUTER AND PRINTING - There was no free public computer. - Printing was free for a few pages. You can email the hotel the document and inform the receptionist which email address you sent to . Be sure to double check with the hotel that printing is free. TO AND FROM MILAN CENTRALE - We arrived by train and walked to the hotel. - If you check Google map, you will find that you can walk pass a Hilton, before arriving at Four Points. Near the Hilton, there is a big sign to direct you to Four Points. - If you follow that sign, you will arrive at the back* of Four Points. Just go around to the front entrance. * If you exit the hotel and go back to the back of the hotel (Via Gustravo Fara), and - turn right, you will see a tobacco shop, which sells 24 hour transit passes and which may sell single tickets too. - turn left, you will see (1) a cafe, which has sandwich (around 5 euro each) around lunch time. It closes at late afternoon; (2) a supermarket. - If you like to walk less and take a bus for one stop from the Milan train station, once you exit the train station main entrance, walk straight, you will be on Piazza Duca d'Aosta, and at the end of it, you will see bus station, the bus to near Four Points will be heading to your right. Take either bus 60 or 81 for one stop, and get off at (Via Luigi Galvani & Via Gustravo Fara) where the Hilton is, and you will see the sign mentioned above. - Take the bus if you have small/light luggage or no luggage. - You may be able to bus the bus ticket at the train station or from the bus driver. # At Milan train station, be careful when someone or people is nice to you trying to help. When we left Milan on train, someone at the train station trying to help us. And the reason was for money. - Milan train station arrival area is about 2 flights of stairs above ground level. There are stairs going down to the ground level to exit. Before the stairs, look to your left (or ask), I think there are people movers there. 4.5 EURO 24 HOURS TRANSIT PASS & PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION - A single, local transit ticket costs 1.5 euro, so it makes a 24-hour transportation pass (that costs 4.5 euro) a very good deal. The pass covers all local bus, tram, metro and perhaps even short distance train rides. We used it on bus, tram and metro; for train ride, please double check with ticket sellers. The bus 60 or 81 stop that is near Four Points is at Via Luigi Galvani & Via Gustravo Fara. Use Google map to take a look. - Four Points to Corso Buenos Aires You can take bus 60 or 81 for a few stops, without any transfer. - Four Points to Duomo di Milano You can take bus 60 or 81 for one stop back to the Milan train station direction. Get off at Milan train station and transfer to metro line 3. - Duomo di Milano to Navigli Take tram #3 near Duomo di Milano, and Get off at P.za Ventiquattro Maggio - Navigli to Four Points Take tram #9 to the last stop which is Milan train station. (It takes about 45 mins or longer for this tram ride.) Transfer to bus 60 or 81 for one stop. SUPERMARKET NEAR THE HOTEL - Besides the one mentioned above, there is a Carrefour supermarket near the hotel. It has cooked food and cold sandwich etc. No table and no microwave for customers to use. However, they can heat up certain cooked food for you, ask. SPG ELITE STATUS - This Four Points recognizes SPG elite status.
The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the Milan Airport's travel lounge. A beautiful, modern hotel, I was twice in the hotel and each time there were excellent rooms. The conference hall and meeting rooms are large and very respectable. Breakfast is very good and very tasty. There was nothing to say, everything was excellent.
A fantastic hotel, excellent service, great breakfast! Plenty of restaurants within the vicinity. All reasonable priced. When anything around the spectacular Duomo in Milan was a little more exy.... Gym facilities more than reasonable! Which I am always sussing out. Very close to the train station. No complaints what so ever.
We stayed here 2 nights and toured Milan. The price was great and the location was good. We were in a business district but 5 minutes from a very good subway system so getting around was safe and easy. The hotel was very nice. We had a suite which was awesome. I would definitely stay here again. Elizabetta checked us in and was excellent.
