Avoid. Does not meet 4* standard. It in fact insults the standard of other 4* hotels around the world. Most disagreeable thing was Sandro the receptionist. He has a disgusting attitude and a very unwelcoming and rude manner on both my encounters with him over the 2 days I stayed here. Agressive towards a female colleague of mine. Hotel needs refurbishment. Our company stays at this hotel every year for the Milan expo. The hotel has never been updated in the 6 years I have stayed here. (Side note.. There was an exposed live wire for the light connection in bathroom above the mirror of room 406, which is very dangerous considering the humidity and condensation after a shower). Don't be fooled.
Cozy place, silent and looks like at home. Breakfast was also good! Especially Berry Pie. Room is small enough, but it doesn't mean bad in case of Dieci Hotel. If I will be in Polytechnico di Milano one more time, I take the same hotel.
The hotel is reasonably nice. Nothing fancy, nothing too modern. The room was ok (single room). The only practical problem is that even with the air condition off, it was uncomfortably hot. The only viable thing to do was open.the window, but made the room too noisy because of the road. Other than that, the room was clean. Breakfast was included and it generally nice but nothing to write anything more about. Overall a good place, though I would recommend it only if you have work at the Politecnico which is close.
I stayed here for a couple of nights while attending a meeting at polytecnico. This is a decent hotel; clean and well-maintained. Internet was included, and speeds are decent. The free breakfast was of good quality. The rooms are small, but adequate and clean. Overall, this is a good budget-quality hotel... certainly not a 4*, but acceptable / fairly good.
This hotel may be ok, but the 4th star is completely unmotivated; and it is not "delightful" as boasted in their web page (but to be honest, also the price is not that of a 4*). My single room was exceedingly small, with old furniture, and somehow smelly. Bathroom was ok. After entering from the street one has to go down a flight of stairs - not nice with heavy luggage. Breakfast (not more than) ok. Courteous personnel. The location, not far from downtown and close to "Città degli studi" (Polytechnic and the scientific departments of the state university), may be convenient.
Room - VERY small. Mini-bar fridge didn't work, I was on ground floor so could not keep window open, and the AC has a restricted temperature range. Shower is very small and complimentary shower gel is little more than colored water. BUT... It was clean, the bed was pristine and comfortable, the sound proofing was excellent and the wifi was OK. The hotel itself has a BEAUTIFUL little terrace garden for beer and cigarettes. Breakfast was average fayre. Beer was good (but very expensive) and bus/tram links to city centre are good (if you need a public transport ticket, ask at reception). Overall - OK place to stay for a few days but if you are looking to stay for a weeks holiday I would look elsewhere.
Small but fully comfortable, I spent 4 nights here. The front desk extremely friendly, going out of the way to be helpful with bags, etc. Very adequate breakfast and friendly staff. A bus stop just outside the door. The recommendation of a friend of a friend that was right on target for my needs on my first real visit to Milano.
It's an "old style" hotel, close to the city center (approx 10min by car from the main train station). People are typical Milanese guys. Just enough nice, but don't go that extra mile to satisfy the customers. Reception in efficient, but not smiley. Rooms are a bit small though. Smaller than any hotel I had been so far. Beds are clean, but mattress is too firm in my opinion. Shower is hot and has Lots of pressure. As the whole room, shower is really narrow and low. For me that is a big issue. Wifi works when it wants to work. Speed is good. For short businesses trips it's a place one can stay. For holidays and relax, I would not recommend it.
Stayed couple of times for couple of days. The service is consistent. Specially Mario at the reception is very friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Politecnico di Milano, as it is within walking distance.
I liked my stay at Hotel Dieci very much this October and I would like to make outline in several directions: (i) The LOCATION of the Hotel is attractive, in my opinion because the area around Piazza Piola is quiet but at the same time one has good options to reach the central area of Milano quickly using Bus or Metro. (ii) The HOTEL itself I like too because it is a Boutique Hotel, in conservative style, offering great atmosphere, and I feel like being guest to a House of a Friend rather than just being at yet another Hotel. (iii) The ROOMS are excellent - one would find anything that one would expect as a Hotel Guest, including Internet Connectivity and Safe Box. The Bathroom is nice. The only thing is that some rooms are a bit small. (iv) The SERVICE at Hotel Dieci is excellent and I would like to mention Cristiano with whom I have arranged all bookings and things in a professional and firendly manner. He and his Colleagues provide indeed great service at the Reception.
