Knights Inn Mifflintown

Well maintained motel

We stayed this motel to attend the daughter's gradation at Penn State University. It was a standard class motel but relatively clean and no bad smells as we usually had in a regular motel room. Pillows were soft and comfortable. Shopping center is nearby and convenient.

Best Western Nittany Inn Milroy

Relaxing and clean hotel

The staff was very knowledgeable, the room was clean and the breakfast was nice. We are staying there again two more times during the football season.

Red Carpet Inn Duncannon

Budget friendly hotel, noisy location

Wonderful welcome by hotel staff. Although hotel is an old building, it is well-kept and clean. Our room was small and cramped, and the King bed was comfortable. The big drawback is the noise from the adjacent highway. Bring your earplugs.

Quality Inn & Suites

Nice, clean, dog friendly but far from State Coll

Though the motel is just off the highway, it is 30 minutes or more from State College and its array of breweries and restaurants, and this was a disappointment to us as we did not research the distance first. However we were close to the state parks and forests, and that was great for us and the dogs. Dogs are allowed but in specific rooms at 25.00 a dog per stay, not night. The rooms have coffee/tea maker, fridge, microwave and ironing board and they are very clean. There is an Aldi next door to get food items, and this is where the Amish like to do their shopping as well. There is also a restaurant and bar at the motel, though the beer variety on tap is not terrible, it is quite lacking for those into micro and foreign beers. Overall, I really liked the motel and would recommend it if visiting the Lewisburg area.
