Upon check in to the room, I was electrocuted when touching an outlet that had a broken prong sticking out of it, thinking it was the light switch (in a darkened room). The key card entry took upwards of 10 times to work and open the door since the kickplate and door plate were loose. Also, my television did not work.. Lastly, the whole place smelled like stale cigarette smoke.

The parking area seems safe enough. I did not see the laundry area. I did not need to use it. The road back to the property is terrible! I would think Holiday Inn and Quality Inn could agree to pay for some of the expense of paving it.

This place is very basic. Needed a place to sleep for a few hours after a late finishing game. The room was “perfumed” as if it was covering something. The room I was given at 2am was ok, but directly over the front desk and the 2 people working were loud, or the walls were then. The curtains would not fully close and the kleig lights of the parking lot created an interrogation effect. I’m resourceful and was able to rig the curtains for my own comfort. The room fridge was gurgling, unplugged it. The bathroom was clean. Not the worst, I’d use again if in the same situation, but in hindsight sleeping in the car at a truckstop for 2 hours may have been sufficient

When we checked into the hotel are room was not cleaned there was drug-fanalia,food and trash left in the room from prior guest. Bed was not made. Bed sheets were wet. I was refunded for the room the following morning when management arrived.

I've been staying at this hotel in Mifflintown, PA for 10 yrs. Before COVID it was great. Convenient, clean, friendly and I felt safe. Since 2020, the establishment gets worse every time we stay. This past weekend (8/8-8/13/2025) was our most recent stay. No garbage was picked up around the hotel or parking lot the entirety of our stay. There are currently workers that stay there due to needing to be near their construction site. I have no problem with that. However, they used almost the entire front lot for their construction vehicles leaving other customers needing to walk further to their vehicles. This location has a huge lot in back specifically for commercial vehicles and semi trucks. One man stayed in his running truck while not at work, including sleeping overnight in the truck, the entire time we were there. Another roamed around with open alcohol during the evening. There were a group of men in the back drinking, playing loud music and partying almost every night. It was not a safe feeling atmosphere. Although this facility is the most convenient for my purposes, I will no longer stay here.
