The paint color in the room old fashion, Wife did not like it, dark in the room, no lights in the room,

Staff was great !!! It was definitely better than we were expecting.

It doesn't say anything about the close attachment of the hotel to the funeral, the church, etc...The neighborhood looks like not comfortable...The manager at front desk is rude. Finally, I don't recommend to stay with children in that hotel.

Stayed here on a weekend for a gymnastics meet that was in the area. Nothing else was available due to a Penn State game. Price was too high ($150/nt) for the value of the room due to the fact of the PA State game. Room was average for an older motel. Had a distinct deodorizing smell when entering the room, wonder what smell they are hiding. Room was clean, no bells and whistles, though.

The sheets were visibly soiled/stained and there were hairs all over the sheets as well as under them where they had put a blanket with the intention of softening the bed. All this blanket did was collect dirt and hairs. I don't think they ever cleaned this blanket. When asked about reducing the price of the room to normal rates (they had been inflated due the Penn State Football game I found out..) the manager refused to do that or anything else. The bathroom was however clean. Dirty hotel.

We stayed this motel to attend the daughter's gradation at Penn State University. It was a standard class motel but relatively clean and no bad smells as we usually had in a regular motel room. Pillows were soft and comfortable. Shopping center is nearby and convenient.

The room was clean but needed some updating. Hard to find any room on a Penn State weekend so we were glad to have a bed

I would recommend this hotel only if you are looking for a cheap room and don't care about amenities. I don't think the rooms are that spacious. A friend and I went to a Penn State game and rented one of these rooms. While the rates are affordable and the place is about 40 miles from Penn State, on game day that 40 miles can be more than a 90-minute drive. The area is pretty remote. There are few restaurants (except if you like Burger King). There is a supermarket nearby, but our room did not have a kitchen area. There was a musty smell that permeated the room, even if we kept the windows open. Also, there were problems with the water flow that sometimes prevented the toilet from being flushed.

The room was not very clean. The curtain in the bathroom was made out of dirty washcloths and there was a hair in the sink. The air conditioner did not work. The walls were paperthin and we were up until 1 in the morning with the noise. Good hotel for an overnight stay if you're not looking for any perks.
