Host Ghosted

The host never contacted us with information on the property so as check in approached I sent a message requesting details on access to the property. I got no response. I reached out to Vrbo directly, they also tried to call the host and were not able to reach Sofia. We had to last minute book three hotel rooms nearby which was a big inconvenience as we had booked two houses right nearby each other for our team that was traveling together. Kind of defeated the purpose of booking houses vs hotel rooms in the first place. Worst of all Saturday morning the host Sofia sent a message in Vrbo lying and saying that she had texted me the info Friday morning. When I pointed out that my number is not in my profile, she switched and said it was emailed to me. Another lie. When I called her out she didn't respond and never apologized. I would not book, not worth the risk!! Things happen of course but the total lack of communication and not seeming to care in the least are the real kicker.
