Although the location is great and the building is nice, this was the perfect example of hosts that just own the property but don't care for it or the guests. Some examples are:
-I'll start with the gravest, the AC stopped working on the second day, I sent pictures to the person and let them know it needed to be fixed. I didn't receive a reply until I messaged them again at 12:30am when we had to get the manager because my 72 year old mother couldn't sleep. She came and checked and said we had all the settings right, but maybe she'd turn it off for a little and we could turn it back on. By the next morning, in 78 degree temps, we were sweating and so uncomfortable. The owner just messaged me to turn the panel switch off and on and never responded again even though I sent multiple messages.
When I returned home, I asked VRBO to assist me with a refund, but they said they couldn't because the host said we had the setting on Heat rather than Cool. I provided pictures and all communication through the app and I absolutely cannot believe that's the "excuse" they went with....
-Even though they list the space for 3 people, there was no pillow case, sheets weren't the right size and no comforter was provided.
-In the kitchen, there were no paper towels, drying towel, ice maker didn't work, or trash bags.
-There was one toilet paper roll. We were three women with a 3 day stay and ran out the morning of the last day, imagine if we would've stayed longer or been home more.
