Excellent hotel in city center . Neat & clean, spacious & neat rooms. All the hotel staff spoke English . Check-in & check-out was a breeze. Breakfast is awesome with lot of options , cannot go wrong with that.
The wifi has gotten so much better that my company has started having off site meetings at the hotel. Easy to get on the wifi and to order food and drinks during the day or in the evening. The business are is just off the bar if you wish to have drinks.
Two weeks in the hotel no reliable in the kitchen. In the breakfast eggs shells in my scramble eggs, in the lobby bar the worst pizza I ever ate, the menu said that the fish came with tarta sauce but my plate came without it, I need to ask for the sauce. The "flautas" is a joke for a hotel in México. One nite I order a sandwich and 30 later they told me that was not available. But I can tell you something the boys in the Bar are customers oriented.
Fine for a few days on business. If you are a light sleeper the air conditioning is VERY NOISY. acceptable restaurant for breakfast. Other eating options in the nearby new shopping mall. WiFi good. Craft bottled beers at the bar
So since my last review Crowne Plaza has up graded their WiFi. Now if you are an IHG member you use you member number to login instead of a card from the front desk. The WiFi it self has been upgrade, more reliability and faster speeds. I can stream movies now with no buffering. Well done Crowne Plaza!
A bizarre place, with a used-to-be grand open lobby, loud and ineffective room temperature control, gorgeous sweeping mural behind the reception desk, unfathomable lighting controls in the guest rooms, embarrassingly-bad seventh-floor, "executive" lounge, and strange room layout.
I stayed at this hotel the week of February 13th 2017 as I was visiting a client in the area. The hotel has a grand lobby with a central area that is open all the way up to the glass roof. This allows a tremendous amount of light in the lobby and lobby bar throughout the day. The staff is very courteous and I'd like to thank two people in particular Gabriel and Willy at the reception. The rooms are ok, a little dated, but they did the trick of letting me sleep well. The bed was comfortable and clean. The washroom area is nice and spacious. The restaurant on the main floor was underwhelming. I was not very happy with my meal. Breakfast in the morning was fine, not the biggest selection, but enough to satisfy. The price for breakfast is not that bad either. If you like to workout they have a decent sized gym with different pieces of equipment (some equipment does need to be repaired). They also offer an outdoor track on the roof which is pretty cool. NOTE: If you are not from the area please note that the city is at higher altitude than most cities (about 7400 feet or 2.2 km) be prepared to be winded earlier in your workout. The washrooms in the gym also offer showers, steam room, and sauna! I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is in town on business or just passing through. The rooms can use a little makeover to modernize them a little.
For business, I was for 4 days in Mexico City, North-Tlalnepantla, and stays for 3 nights at Crowne Plaza. Ik was surprise by the hotel. The room was large and clean. Beds are really good, nice equipment for bath room. The breakfast buffet is extensive, and tasty. I really appreciate the help of the bell boy, he is really a service provider. Near to the hotel is a big shopping mall, with a nice restaurant. I didn't use the hotel's restaurant for dinner. WiFi connection in the hotel is good and for free.
Do not let the CP brand fool you!! Don't bother paying for Club access, you won't get it and you'll end up paying for your breakfast & drinks anyway! Management could benefit from some training on how to deal with people, I thought that in the service industry that maybe should be a prerequisite.....how wrong could I be? Do yourself a favour, steer clear of this poorly run hotel.
