The apartment is basic and functional, although the actual apartment does not fully correspond to the description on the VRBO app, The pictures are from a different although similar apartment, and there is only one bedroom, not two, although there are two beds -- a king and a single. When we had problems, the host was extremely responsive, coming over immediately when the power went off one evening. And the air conditioning worked perfectly. And the neighborhood had good services, including a supermarket, a Dunkin, a Little Caesar's and several good restaurants within walking distance.One thing to keep in mind. The street system in Merida is chaotic. There are a number of "colonias" in Merida, and each one can have the same set of addresses. Therefore, you must specify the colonia -- in this case, Mexico Oriente -- in order to get directions to the apartment.
