Its right in the heart of centro. Really nice area, right next to the Merida Mansion which by the way super expensive! beautiful tho. The Hotel Caribe is nice, very clean, and good up keep, very colonial, awesome location, surprisingly very quiet. The only negatives, lack of friendly front desk staff and my room smelled quite musty.

Wonderful location only a half a block from the parque principal, close to restaurants and shopping. It is an older hotel but well maintained and clean. Unlike a lot of older hotels in the Centro it has an elevator.

The hotel’s location is excellent, with a view of the oldest Catholic church in the Americas from the deck. The hotel’s garden is also uniquely scenic. The staff are very friendly, and you don’t have to walk far in any direction to experience beautiful and vibrant street scenes. The parking lot is two blocks away from the hotel, about 200 meters. However, this is understandable since it’s an old neighborhood. Rather than destroying historic buildings to expand the parking area, I’d rather walk a bit more.

It’s very well located in front of a park but the room is at the back of the building which is quiet. The breakfast (paid extra to have it included) was very good - the fruit bowl was very generous!! We only stayed one night at Hotel Caribe, but we knew how great it was just in that one night! They had an absolutely amazing breakfast, parking comes included with your stay upon request. The building is absolutely beautiful and antiquated! The pool is lovely too! The staff go above and beyond to make sure everything is to your liking, and the bed was very comfortable! Everything you could need is within walking distance of hotel caribe. The food options are endless as well! The only thing I wish was different, is that they had hot water available for showering. Otherwise if we come back to Merida, we will surely book them again!
