"The property was very clean and nice in appearance the hotel front desk staff very nice efficient and helpful the hotel is right at the BLUE RIDGE SENIC RAIL ROAD literally a stroll down the side walk how ever the restaurant staff located on the 5th floor terrible service we were a party of 5 we enterd but were not greeted not even acknowledged we wonderd thru the small area looking for a table there were dirty tables but no one acknowledged us or offerd to clean the tables..wewent to the bar where all the staff clustered on the opposite end avoiding eye contact and all contact after 10 plus min a man did offer a menu but we decided to leave we werent welcome we weren't wanted there so we left and took our black dollars with us ( the restaurant staff was our only negative experience) i definitely suggest this hotel but not the resturant if your a person of color"

"Walking into this home brought a huge smile to our face. To be able to witness the sunset from the balcony (or inside the house if you prefer) was magical. I am a sucker for beautifully decorated homes and this was it. This property had so many areas that you can enjoy whether inside or out. The spacious kitchen was well equipped and with a Walmart 9min away we were able to make home cooked meals as time allowed. My kids (11 and 14) had a wonderful time in their own space with game machines, board games and their own living room downstairs. Kelly was a great host and replied to my messages very quickly. I highly recommend this property. You will not be disappointed."

"Loved the modern rustic décor of the hotel and happy with our stay. The toilet/shower space within the closed door area seemed very small and not sure how larger people could navigate it (we're both average-sized). Location was good to get to downtown (train) and other Blue Ridge sights. Area leading to and around hotel could use some clean up (trash and trash dumping along the roads/entryway). Overall, a good stay but does require driving to eat out, sightsee, etc., as not really walkable."
