After a VERY LONG day on the road, we checked in after hours, thankfully with the kind receptionist who was waiting for us. Beautiful room; sunset view; can walk out to the ocean; great location! Beds were comfy and a nice shower.
Nice reception, nice room with a partial view of the ocean. breakfast is at the close by sister hotel. weather was not excellent and did not allow to fully appreciate the view. but you hear and smell the ocean and that's great.
Few days' rest after a long drive down the Oregon coast - and Surfside provided exactly what we needed. The rooms are very comfortable and the views out to sea from the balconies cannot be bettered. Very peaceful, very relaxing
Here is a place that combines amazing views with wonderful accommodations. The room was very cozy with the fireplace. The room and bath were spotless and the bed and pillow were terrific. It was also pretty quiet. The boardwalk outside the property were excellent.
This hotel is wonderful. Great location. Fantastic location! Tide pools, an owl, fire pits, sandy beach, trails, bike path. I want to bring my mom back. Watch the ocean from the private deck of my hotel room. Great history of the family who owns the hotel. Read it in the binder in your room. Fort Bragg is tiny. Everything easily accessible. We stayed three nights and did so much.
The five stars are for the location. I can't think of anyplace with better views or ocean access. On past visits, we have seen migrating whales from our balconies. The rooms themselves are fine; clean and well appointed. I have stayed here many times, always on the second floor, for the view. It's pretty quiet, although a few rooms have more road exposure and are a little louder; but I open the door and let the roar of the surf take care of that.
This lodge is very well located being right near the road and beach. The rooms are large and well appointed with views and access directly onto the beach. This made for a nice stop as we were travelling down the Pacific Highway.
This hotel is actually a great value when you consider its location in relation to the beach, town and the walking path. It has great views, was quiet and clean. Breakfast is a little lean, but not an issue for light eaters.
Beautiful location, but not much around. The ocean was beautiful. It was a large room with nice furnishings and towels. Their was a little balcony to the ocean. It was a nice pit stop on the road. We did not stay for breakfast so I cannot comment on it. It was a clean place.
This place was a nicely maintained older hotel. The room was very clean and well appointed and had a porch with stairs right to the walkway with paths leading to the ocean front. I am usually very picky about where we stay and was very happy with our stay here. Breakfast was next door in the sister unit, and was decent. No complaints.
