Was better than expected. Room was clean, modern and nice. Weird thing was the Jacuzzi tub in the midst if the room. Fireplace was a nice feature. Bed was comfortable. Continental breakfast at adjacent motel was inconvenient at best.

Separate buildings with only a few rooms in each is a nice touch. Right on the beach with wonderful views.

We came in late. Had wonderful reception. Clean room beautiful view. Very nicely set up. However lots of noise from Neighbors. Wanted to leave early in morning. No drop box for keys. Had to delay our departure

Ocean view and beach access were phenomenal. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We had a great time, the hotel is very quiet and super close to the beach. You can exit from your balcony to walk down the beach in only 200 yards for a stroll along the waves.

This was the 3rd hotel we stayed at during our honeymoon, the most expensive and least impressive. The staff was sub par, the television was small and hard to see, and this was the first hotel I had to put a deposit down, even though there was far more things of value at the other hotels. Tacky. Won't be going back to Fort Bragg or this motel/hotel.

A bit pricey, but pretty location. Unfortunately any time water was run in any other room, you could hear it quite loudly. The place needs to improve the insulation between rooms. On the very positive side, the staff was very gracious, helpful and provided excellent information.

My upstairs room was one of a four in an attractive two level building. I was happy I upgraded to the king bed/in-room jacuzzi room with a view, since the coastal view from the back balcony is very special. Housekeeping was excellent. The bed was supportive yet soft enough to allow for a restful sleep. The gas fireplace was appreciated while the cold fog settled over the town. The best thing was the location - close to state parks, the town of Mendocino, Noyo Harbor, and the Jackson Forest. And if you enjoy walking along the beachfront a walking trail is literally next to the hotel.

the hotel was just a 3 star, not BAD not GOOD the carpets REALLY needed cleaning and the hotel was MUCH farther to the beach than advertised. You had to walk thru a wet land of some distance to reach the ocean, there was a view of the ocean but NOT easy access for a handicap person to access the beach no microwave in the room, however, there was a refrigerator and a coffee pot

If you come to Fort Bragg this is the place to stay! My parents have always stayed at the Beachcomber which is next door, but I think Surf & Sand gives it a run for its money! Everything was very very clean, the beds super comfy, and the staff was great. Watch for this place to be among the top places to stay in Fort Bragg in the coming years.

Thank you, John, for your review. We appreciate your feedback. Our King Jacuzzi tub rooms do have the tub in the room , as opposed to being enclosed in the bathroom. Many of our guests say they enjoy the ocean views from the tub. While we do offer our guests a continental-style breakfast at our sister property next door, we will soon be offering a limited variety of continental breakfast options on-site. Thank you, again, for choosing to stay with us and we hope to see you on a future visit.
