Pros: • genuinely soundproof rooms; we never heard so much as a whisper through the walls or outside the room • excellent water pressure in the bathroom/sinks, and hot water pretty much on demand, without any need to wait for a boiler to heat it or tanks to refill • decent free wi-fi. We weren't trying to do anything too exciting on it — casting from a phone was a bit patchy — but it worked perfectly for both general trip research and 30-minute video calls. • location. Obviously, the location is very convenient! There're many tram stops around, the CBD is a short walk away, and there's also a Woolworths Metro with decent hours literally just across the road. Very close to the Queen Vic Markets, and it's easy to walk home from the CBD. Cons: • cleanliness was the biggest issue during our stay. The room had apparently been cleaned, but not very well, as we found a spider living happily in a web woven between one of the pillows and the wall, a live cockroach in the wardrobe, and a discarded sauce container out on the balcony. • the design and layout of the room, as is the case in many of these serviced apartments, generates a bit of head-scratching. Why did someone decide to install the toilet roll holder at such an angle that reaching for it inevitably knocks the toilet paper to the ground?

The price is very reasonable for the facilities in the room (it has a full kitchen). The staff were extremely helpful and courteous as well. The location is quiet, yet still convenient to reach all the attractions in downtown Melbourne.

Didn’t really get to interact with any staff. When I got to my room there was no toilet paper and no staff to ask for some as I searched front desk and all could not find anyone. The room did smell like mice as we walked in. But after airing it out it smelt better. Shower door did not close all the way properly.

I booked a one-night stay about two months in advance and requested parking at the time. The hotel called on the same day to confirm that parking would be available and that I could pay on arrival. However, when we arrived yesterday, there was no note on my booking about the parking request, and we were told no spots were available. This completely threw off our plans, as we had a concert to get to and had timed everything around being able to arrive, park, and get ready. Instead, we had to scramble to find alternative parking that would allow us to leave the car for the day and overnight, which added unnecessary stress to what was meant to be a relaxing weekend away. The staff member at the front desk was polite and apologetic, but unfortunately that did not solve the issue. The room itself was simple but clean and comfortable. It had a small kitchenette with a sink, stove top, microwave, and fridge, which was handy. The bathroom, however, was incredibly small. There was barely enough space to move, and I had to sit sideways on the toilet. If I were a larger person, getting in and out of the shower or using the toilet would have been extremely difficult. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, and check-out was quick and easy.

Excellent Hosts, place was clean and neat and was serviced with my long stay.All appliances servicable hot plates, kettle, toaster, clothes iron and board, hairdryer, medium to large fridge, excellent air on and Smart TV with Utube and fresh set of batteries included. Plenty of room for everything even to hang the clothes. Well stocked and serviced with toileteries, tea, cofee, milk etc including full cutlery, cooking pots, pan and cutting board etc. Internet was fast an free. I arranged a very early morning call time with reception which was well organzed and on que. Staff at reception, helpful, friendly, effective and efficient. Pleasant and memorable stay. Will do again sometime. Easy access to tram network and within a 35 metres and a very easy spot to be, even VIC market about 200 metres walk. Overall a very pleasant and good stay. Also, appreciated the excellent lighting fuxtures and mode of operation. The double curtains with drapes were an effective and great buffer in blotting out any sound for a very good nights sleep and nice sliding doors to the small balcony. Maybe, the only draw back, even slight to a perfect 5 star score was a slight stein on the eiderdown I found when i moved in, otherwise , excellent and reasonable priced accomodation.
