Told the wrong information when booking so was not aware of the $100 room deposit required on top of the fee for the room. Attempted to refuse cash as the deposit and told me in no uncertain terms that I couldn't book anything to the room including meals or use the minbar (there is no minibar in the room anyway). They lost money on the four breakfasts, any room service or anything else we might have used. The room was dirty, a centimetre of fluff in the air conditioner, the walls haven't seen a wet cloth in quite a while, the paint was peeling from the walls, the door laminate is chipped by moving furniture or something. The TV didn't work. The original lamp didn't work. Crazy Clark's fittings. The bedcover was a sheet wrapped around a blanket. The bathroom looked nice, until you turned the tap on and the ring of scum around the fitting became evident. The entrance to the lift foyer constantly smelt of dirty water, probably from the nearby laundry. Two women in the room, nowhere to put one suitcase let alone two. So glad we only needed to sleep there, although paid a little more for a room so we could stay in a nice place. This hotel won a trip advisor award in 2013, no wonder it hasn't had one since. The management or staff must have changed. A positive note. Great access to the tram line and very close to the Arts Precinct. Lovely little cafe "Time" just down the road.
This is not a 5 star hotel, but for the price I think you get a very good service, the rooms are large and accommodating. The great thing is that there is at tram stop just outside that will take you to the CBD in 15 minutes. Its a good location for people traveling on business.
We love this location and have stayed before in a bigger room but were disappointed with the tight space and small uncomfortable bed this time. We had to call reception to send someone up everytime we wanted to turn the TV on and we could not open the blind because we looked straight into a working office block window. The bathroom was a good size and the kitchenette is very handy. We would stay again but opt for a more expensive room hoping for more space.
The seasons heritage on St Kilda Road in Melbourne was a hassle free stay. The outside front of the building has a church appearance, you enter into the modern lobby where there's free newspapers daily for guest. Once checked in you walked further back into the lifts which is the modern area of the building. We stayed in a two bedroom serviced apartment. The unit contained: Two bedrooms Two bathrooms, one bathroom contained a washing machine and a dryer 1 kitchenette, two element stove top, small fridge, microwave, dishwasher and utensils. Two televisions A heater in each room. The hotel supplied two port a cots upon request also. The rooms were a moderate size and limited outside noise was heard during the stay. There is a tram stop just across the road, with approximately 15 minutes by tram into the city. There were no issues during our stay. I would return to seasons heritage Melbourne
The room is set up with two dubble beds. There is no seating area. Which does not make it an enjoyable room. I choose the motel from pictures which stated that there was a seating area and one bed. As you can see by the picture. I contacted about the room. The manager advised me that he would try and arrange another room as he was unable to change the configuration of this room. I was advised that he would contact my mobile pending an out come. Still waiting for the call. I called him and spoke briefly with him agian I was advised that he would contact me. Still waiting. On top of this the shower is mouldy and the paint and gyprock has been chipped off the wall. As you walk out of the elevator onto the floor. It would appear that the floor has not been vaccumed in a week. nor did the floor in the room. The layout of the room was extremely poor designs. I feel as it they have gone these people booked the motel off the internet. Stuff them we will give them the worst room. Needless to say I am disappointed in the service and overall appearance on the season heritage Melbourne motel. although it was in a reasonable location. Parking was 15 dollars a night.
Booked and paid in full online but was hit with a $100 'deposit' on checking in. Assured on checking out the 'deposit' would be credited back to my account within five weeks!!! Thanks for that little surprise and the extra interest charge!! Room was reasonable. Quiet. Could do with some refurbishing. Couch was smelly, uncomfortable and saggy. None of the usual refreshments for a cuppa. Great amenities otherwise Ie huge bathroom with washing machine and dryer, big living area with a little dishwasher, microwave and cooktop. No tea towel etc. Bed was comfy but no spare pillows. 'Bedroom' area quite small. Have not made up our minds whether we would stay again ... But it is in a very convenient location.
Really happy with this little gem. Booked online through hotel website for lowest price. Check in was a little clunky but easy enough. Room bed and bathroom was certainly big enough for me. At first I could not get the tv or heater working but a quick call to reception and a staff member attended and got it all going. Bed was comfortable and bathroom/shower was great. It would have been great to have a hotel booklet in the room to explain facilities etc and perhaps there is but i couldnt locate it. I helped myself to the gym which was great to kick start my day. Located within easy walk to chapel st and greville st. Just outside cbd but tram stop out the front and nice and quiet for sleeping. I would definetly stay again.
Heater didn't work in first room, tv didn't work in second room. Beds are tiny - I slept on the couch. Staff is nice Wifi good locations good Kitchen supplies are super stingy Shower water pressure terrible and goes between burning hot and freezing
I have had friends stay here and needed a hotel that was between Prahran and the CBD for the night a month ago and this place didn't disappoint. In the Heritage listed property, the apartment complex has limited onsite parking, restaurant onsite, and trams out-front, is location friendly for a weekend getaway, for city business travelers who don't want to stay in the bustle of the CBD. The apartments are clean and have all the amenities required for a home away from home ( washing machines, dishwashers, dryers, etc.) and the rooms have balconies and great views of the St Kilda Road mecca. Staff are friendly, and accommodating and check in and out is efficient and hassle free as well, I would recommend and definitely come back
I'm going to keep this hotel high in my list of top preferred places to stay in Melb. While the fittings etc are a little dqted, everything is clean, excellent customer service, excellent linen and day service. Location is Central to South Eastern suburbs and easy access off and to Citylink. Car lift is ok for my little car and parking is cheap. Did I mention customer service - people at the desk are welcoming, friendly and happy to help. The only thing I do object to is the $100 Bond 'for damages'. As a returning patron I expect this will not apply in the future. Otherwise, a very reasonably priced, Central, safe place to stay in the city
