Check-in and out was fast and efficient and everything in between was very pleasing. Buffet breakfast was most enjoyable (best scrambled eggs ever) Thank you to the kitchen staff. Very near the city and all that it has to offer and St.Kilda near by where you have so many shops and the beach, and a Albert park across the rd. We did have a small issue with bath towels but I am sure that will be dealt with. A very nice stay with friendly efficient staff. Thank you to all at Bayview on the Park .

We were staying in Melbourne for one night. We normally stay in the CBD but were short on $$ so scouted for a cheaper hotel online. We came across the Bayview. We arrived with enough cash on us for the room and our food/entertainment in Melbourne, so were pretty shocked to find a $200 room deposit was needed for one night on a $100 room. I ended up having to call my mum for her credit card number - embarrassing! The room itself was nice. Old, but clean. My husband couldn't use the plug next to his bed as it was taken by a very old radio. Location was great - enjoyed a run around Albert Park in the morning.

We recently had 2 stays at Bayview on the Park. The room was perfect for our family of 4. It had lovely views of Albert Park and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Even in winter we loved having a spa outside. The buffet breakfast had everything we needed to get started for the morning. The car parking price was excellent value for Melbourne. Tea/coffee and mini bar in the room.

Good value hotel close to the city and transport. Staff were very helpful and courteous. Room was comfortable, modern and well appointed complete with complimentary WiFi. Dining Room a little disappointing and the Breakfast Buffet was very basic indeed. I would recommend this as a good option when in Melbourne.

We stayed here with our two small children. The staff at checkin were not too friendly, and I overheard an argument with another guest before I checked in. Not a very welcoming feel. The staff seemed almost as unenthusiastic as the tired hotel. The room (two queen beds) was small and the hotel was very dated especially the fit out/furnishings and bathrooms. No personal toiletries, just a dispenser to squeeze shampoo into your hand in the shower. We booked for 4 people but had to request two extra towels as only two were provided, only two cups and two glasses were provided. We also had to request a plug for the bath, so our children could have a bath. We did leave an item in our room though and I called through to housekeeping from the airport and they were very helpful and friendly retrieving it and taking our address for posting to our home. It has arrived, so I am happy to say the housekeeping service was very good, but unfortunately we wouldn't stay here again.

Friendly staff. Great place and affordable rooms. Stayed the night as we had an event at Hisense arena. Trams close by to access transport to and from event. Car parking onsite. Great little bar located next to the pool. Buffet breakfast in the morning was delicious. Highly recommended.

I travel a lot due to my Job responsibilities. I have always stayed at 5 star hotels may be due to which I did not like this hotel. However, there are certain facilities which, even a regular hotel, should consider for their guests. I booked a Golf Course View room however first they greeted me with a parking lot view room. I came back from my room to reception, and requested to look into my reservation document. On re-verifying, he finally gave me a golf course view room. this is a major miss and a pain for me as i was travelling from India-Singapore-Melbourne. Considering 14 hours of flight time and 2 hours of layover. I expected a better welcome. Lets talk about some issues which I faced: 1. Gym is not at all good. Its way too small. 2. Food menu is too small. Not many options however food is good. I am a vegetarian, so not so many options for me. 3. On Fourth day of my stay, the boiler of 4th and 5th floor stopped working. it was cold in June so i had to go for shower on 2nd floor. That too, on my request, they gave me a room. They should have informed me in morning about arrangements that they have done. Instead, after two calls to reception, i got a room for shower. 4. I requested for Laundry, and housekeeping dropped the bag in my room without washing my clothes due to some reason, which they did not informed me. However, on asking reception, they apologize, and did laundry for free. But, this is really a negative review. I will request my company to remove this hotel from our list as the hotel doesn't fulfill the company standards. I had another colleague from Sydney who was staying in this hotel in another room during same period, and he did had a similar bad experience.

This is our second stay at Bayview, I was worried about the negative reviews. But we had a premium twin which was clean & quite roomy.. Nothing flash, but we were only needing a nights accomodation.. Yes it needs updating, but was fine for our family. When leaving there were people complaining, but the staff on both check in & out were friendly & pleasant.

Iv been to this hotel about 3 times but after my last visit on tuesday this week id never be back Firstly upon checking in i was told bond has been doubled to $200 when it was $100 last few times Then after settled in and ready to go to bed i had 2 guys from reception knock on my door asking did i ask for i didn't request anything! Then in the morning i had the cleaner pushing the vacume against my door early in the morning and part of my deal was late checkout!!.then while still packing i had man from reception barging in my room saying he needs to check the room out. ..they should do that after your out the room!!! I WONT EVER BE BACK OR RECOMEND TO ANOTHER PERSON THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! !!

We arrived and check in was very quick, we had a golf course view and the room seemed very nice. We arrived late (midnight) so we got in, the bed was very comfortable and after 31 hours of travel was very welcoming! In the morning we went for breakfast which was a buffet and suited us very well. When we went back to the room later on tbat evening and put the heating on, we realised it didnt work.. so we went to reception amd informed them, at 10:45pm (with 2 small children) we were finally moved room.. with no view. I asled about the room and as we were expecting a view i was just told 'sorry for the inconvenience' but they couod not give us another room with a view apparantly even though the hotel seemed very quiet. We could not use the pool as it was too cold and too dirty. The cleaners were great, coming everyday including the weekend. The restaurant was so cold in the evening and the morning you could not take your coat off to eat. Overall, for the price, id like a little more to be honest.. and certainly get the room type i was promised! Photo below was our original room view.. we were moved to a view of a multi storey carpark.
