Atlantis Hotel, Melbourne

Had to go through three sets of keys before we got a pair of keys to work. Rooms are bit dated and bathroom small. We had a two bedroom unit which gave us good room and extra separation/privacy. Very pricey parking! Had breakfast offsite as theirs did not appear very apetitizing. Otherwise pretty average.

Overall there wasn't anything majorly wrong with the stay. But as a 4 star hotel it didn't quite feel quite there. The room was clean but lacked some amenties like lotion, toothbrush kits etc. There is a pool and it's good for a dip. I got the hotel on a deal but it was about the same price as an Ibis deal I paid and I was more impressed with Ibis than Atlantis.

Our online booking only showed us for 1 night instead of the 2 we needed. Staff at hotel said they'd have to charge us the full rack rate, instead of honoring the same price for both nights. Disappointing. Pool, gym & sauna, & in-room safes, are a plus here. Breakfast was outstanding. This hotel is just 2 blocks from Southern Cross rail transport, & airport shuttles. Free in-city buses are also close by.

Location was great the bed was very confortable. However there was stains on couch (therefore we didn't sit on it) thee were dirty tissues under the bed and front desk didn't have toiletries as advertised, wifi connection was ok

The hotel is very nice and modern in appearance from the outside, but as you enter your room reality hits. The rooms were very small and completely empty of any useful decor or amenities. When we arrived the TV was on and I quickly figured out it was because you couldn't turn it off. When we went to look out the window at the city view, it was completly filthy and covered in dirt and debris. Now I realize it's a Best Western, but I had higher hopes given its proximity to the CBD and other hotels. One positive is that this facility is excellent if you want easy access to the trains and other public transit. Overall I would only give it 3 stars. Pros: the pleasant staff and access to public transit. Cons: lackluster very basic rooms. Spend a few extra bucks and enjoy your stay in Melbourne in a comfortable room.

Very comfortable stay. Great locations and easy access to the free tram. Staff was friendly, but we had an issue in our room and they continually said they would fix it, but never did in the 3 days we were there. Very frustrating.

Late check-in with friendly guy at reception. Room is fine. Breakfast not good, very small selection, and no fruits !

Although friendly and cooperative, the desk personnel didn't seem to know what was going on. Unfamiliar with the neighborhood, wrong directions and billing confusion. I had to call the desk four days in a row to get my internet connected.

The hotel staff was quite helpful and available to provide any information. The room was cleaned on a daily basis. It was exactly what I needed. The location was highly convenient close to Queen Vic market and the tram line. I hope to stay in the same hotel if/when I return to Melbourne. Great experience.

Was very good stay in this hotel hotel stuff is so nice clean only breakfast is not so good

We chose this particular hotel because in its advertisement, it said continental breakfast and free wi fi. There was no continental breakfast and you had to search a long list before you could find the free wi fi. I was told there was a free sky bus. not free. Hotel was clean and the staff was gracious.

I have stayed here before so it can't be to bad. I always find the staff great. I didn't feel the sheets were clean, i did complain about that on the night and they reassured that they were clean. They just had that feel about them and the pillows looked as though someone had slept on them, i don't have long black hair. If i recommended it, i would share the above experience.

Could hear construction early in the morning. Room was not the cleanest... Bathroom felt very small.

Aforable to the Melbourne standard and good location near to the free team but not in the main area of tourist attractions.

I think overall value of this hotel is fairly good. I can recommend this hotel to my friends especially who needs to tighten the budget of traveling. Generally, everything costs very high in Australia, so somewhere needs to be reasonable, right?

Very handy to the station, could come and go without trouble from the airport

Loved being across the road from the trains and buses

Check in was 1pm room not ready til 240pm. Annoyed. .. excuse they booked out but booked this three months ago! Room was clean but elevator floors etc filthy with stains etc. Booked smoking room on ur site but whole place is non smoking. Therefore thought we had balcony plus advertised city view room but no balcony snd our view was air conditioning units on roofs. very disappointec with accommodation coz we often stay inelb and every other place has been beautiful. Think atkantis just ancient but so r others but not the same. Total sun block out through blind would help too. Sorry font like being negative but would not stay there again. ....

The best part of this hotel stay was its location. Close to the central train station with connection to the airport. and close to the streetcars, including free, CBD-circling one. By the USA standards I would give it a 3-star rating.

Clean comfortable room across from the drop off from the drop off for the Skybus from the airport. Close to trams and a big shopping center. Staff was decently nice though did not overly helpful. My main downfall for the hotel was the cost of WiFi. $3.95 for an hr. As an international traveller I don't have a cell phone or 3G connection and WiFi becomes a lifeline. It was annoying to have to pay for an amenitie that is free so many places.
