The staff was friendly, professional and accommodating. We had a great time staying there. Their breakfasts were fresh and always served with a smile.
Hotel is worn out, air condition would not work, breakfast was far below average,... Do not step out of the door at night...
The hotel, once one of the icons from Medellin, now is simply a place to sleep. Stayed theer twice in 3 weeks, air condition did never work, Internet was intermittent, room had no adecuate work environment. The surrounding area is not recommended after dark.
The staff very friendly and several speak at least some English. The rooms are pretty diminimus but appropriate given the price. My complaint is more with this site than the hotel. I had paid for 2 rooms for 9 nights each, so a bill exceeding $1400. Just after I checked in I got a call from the front desk saying I owed another $11/night/room in taxes. This site should have either collected that when I originally paid or informed me that there was going to be even more money owing when I arrived.
The hotel was really good, it has a good location and it's close to the Metro station, which it's AMAZING!
My hotel stay was a very pleasant experience, the staff were very friendly and the room i was staying in was kept very clean. Just be careful if you decide to wander around the area, especially at night, because the area is known for being a hotspot for getting robbed. If you know better and have some common sense you would go out and enjoy what the city has to offer, you will be very pleased with your stay at Hotel Nutibara. At the lobby you can find a variety of bars, restaurants, pizzerias, a souvenir shop and coffee shops. I would come back to this hotel on my next visit to Medellin
I felt that the staff was professional and really nice. I didn't feel like it was after tips or something like that. I had an issue with the safety box in the room, but I was able to keep my documents and money at the FD. So, no big deal there! The hotel is situated in the very heart of Medellin with a metro station nearby. From there I was able to go anywhere in the city and even take the metrocable to visit a tropical forest (Arvia) in the mountains. I recommend taking the metrocable because one has a spectacular view over the city from it. I also recommend going to Guatape (a 2-hour drive from Medellin) and especially climbing up La Piedra del Penal (a 200 metre high rock ). It's really fantastic! I had no problems in the city. People were nice and correct. But one sees a lot of poverty almost everywhere. And of course, one has to be careful and avoid certain places at night.
My experience at the hotel was a good one. The a/c worked and there was warm water. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The location was great the hotel is centrally located across the street from Bottero Plaza. There are also plenty of places to eat and drink. The hotel is dated but great for someone on a budget. Overall I think its a great deal and I would stay in this hotel again. It can get a little loud in the morning from the venders and construction but its not to bad.
Easy to access, but the hotel area is so ghetto, so many homeless, too many drug users. the room is dirty, tv doesn't work, room is smelling, staff doesn't speak English at all, with my poor Spanish I manage to understand them. I didn't like it at all. Don't look at the picture and decide.
