Reservation officer makes reservation mistakes. I already asked her to swipe my card for two nites but instead one nite. She called and nagged me many times when I was in an event just to confirm my next day reservation. Gym officer not attentive, in fact, gym front officer watched TV instead paid attention to my request Room service did not clean up my room. I called them to clean up my room. Overall, a sub international standard 5 star hotel.
Nice and clean room and good location, near shopping mall and Berastagi supermarket. Good staff and also good breakfast. ReasonabeI price. I always stay in this hotel for my business trip. ATM location also in the shopping mall. (Cambridge City Square)
Almost an hour from airport. Finally got there and rooms are ok. Bed is comfy. City view from high floor is great. Theres a lobby lounge. Breakfast spread on 2nd floor is not too bad. Hotel is attached to a small mall and more dining options there with some shopping. Wifi is good. Variety of TV channels is good. Staff service is good? Location in city centre is good.
We had three rooms to sleep 6 persons. This was our first stay at this hotel. Clean and odorless rooms, comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast buffet offered a decent selection of local and international specialties. The hotel is connected to a shopping mall via a door that can be accessed using the room key. We liked this very much, enabling us to grab a quick lunch directly after late check-in. We stayed in the south tower facing an apartment building, which is not a very pleasant view of Medan.
Based on my experiences comparing with other 5start hotel, I am able to make my bill settlement 24hrs before checkout. This will help your guest just drop the key when departure early the morning such as 3am - 5am.
Unlke my 1st stay in GSBM in early June '17, I miss my morning paper thru out my stay. AC system quite noisy n disturbing during on/off of the compressor. Toilet spray cleaning system does not work or intentionally like that, it happened also in my 1st stay. If there is a room clock it will be convinient to monitor the time.
I booked for a deluxe twin-bed via the hotel website under the 'Stay & Spa Package' @ IDR999,000 nett for 1-night stay: 20-21 Jun, 2017. The room rate is inclusive of daily breakfast & 1-hour massage for 2-person. I received an email confirmation of the above booking on 5 Jun 2017. Subsequently, I received a SMS notification that a transaction of RPA 999000 has been approved on my Amex Card ending ***64004 at GRAND SWISS BELHOTEL on JUN 06 at 10:55AM (Singapore Time). Additionally, I also noted that the said transaction has been posted to my Amex card on 6 Jun 2017, under transaction history. To my astonishment, upon check-in, I was informed by the Front Desk/Reception that I have not made payment for my room reservation! Despite showing & explaining that the said room booking has been charged to my Amex card, I failed in my communication with Grand Swiss-Bel Medan terribly! The hotel insisted that they have not made any charge/transaction to my card!! To prevent further delay in our check-in, (exhausted after a 7-hour car ride from Parapat), I requested that they place a call to Amex customer service. After a lengthy explanation/verification, we were informed that the said transaction was on 'floating' ! How on earth the Hotel would expect the guest / cardholder to know if it's a 'floating' or 'confirm' transaction ?? I sincerely wish that the hotel can look into the payment processing to avoid such ambiguous transaction in preventing double charge & unnecessary misunderstanding for a simple transaction! Ps. Buffet breakfast spread was sumptuous & good local favourites selection! As for the traditional massage, it was very disappointing (far from average!) Masseur is inexperience & weak (I asked her to strengthen the strength repeatedly, but she's basically rubbing me!) I didn't expect such quality / standard for a 5-star hotel 👎
Great hotel great employees great treatment. And I'm very glad that I have met a wonderful employee such as Salah Natsheh , Thank you for this wonderful employee . And I'm glad that we become friends. Next time I visit Aqaba i will stay in this hotel to see my friend Salah Natsheh. Thank you salah for making my vacation better
We waiting for room to check in too long. We can get our room until 3 pm and can't have a nap. The room cleaniess is on average and other facilty like wifi internet and swimming pool is on average too.
It's on 27th floor of a big shopping centre. I went there with friends for a drink in the afternoon but it was closed till 4pm, so we returned the next day in the evening. It was not busy we could sit outside without ordering a meal. It's nice but not cheap. 4 non alcoholic drinks 300 000. Still nice to visit.
