Knights Inn Franklin2.0 out of 5.0

Cheap rates. Room was clean. Hallway reeked of cigarette smoke, beds were rock hard and pillows were paper thin. "Continental breakfast" is your choice of Frosted Flakes or Raisin Bran. No pool, workout facilities, or other extra amenities. If you don't mind roughing it and want to save a buck, stay here. Otherwise, pay the extra money to go somewhere comfortable.
A little confusing had a Super 8 sign with a Knights inn flag hanging from it. To check in no one in lobby call a # on phone someone answers and says they will be right there. took 10 minutes. Got room in back no parking lot lighting pitch black. lock on sliding door one little pin. Heat unit noisy.room very smelly and musty. Also said microwave in room nope had to go to lobby to use one. Fridge in room and TV good. Nice little town Subway, Macdonalds and such. Actually ended up being a better and shorter way up to I90. Probably would not stay again. If you have dogs don' walk in grass tons of deer ticks took 3 off one dog after 5 minute walk.
for the 5 days i stayed there was mold all along the bottom of my shower curtain. the screen door was broke. 3rd night there there was people parting. very poor
To begin with you have to call to get someone to check in or for any services. We had a room at the back of the hotel but the parking lot was blocked off so you could not get to the back. The room decor appeared to be very old. The carpet was pretty shabby and dirty looking. The shower/bath had some obvious wear. There was a problem with the shower but after complaining about it they did repair it. The continental breakfast was from 6:00AM - 9:00AM. I got there at about 8:00 and most everything was pretty well gone. The only good thing I can say is that it was about half the price of the only other hotel in the Franklin, PA area.
Extremely good location for site seeing and local history. This Motel had easy access to near by cities including Titusville and Oil City along with maps of the local area. Very good value for money spent at this location.
Room was clean, some updates have been done, but the workmanship is poor. Had to use the phone to get someone to check me in. decent size room for a single person and fridge. I would stay here again, it was clean and cheap.
Disappointed in the room the tv was outdated, HBO was not on even though advertised, the room had a sliding glass door which was bolted shut. Had to park halfway down the lot and walk for our things. Air conditioner froze at start of evening.
Rooms and halls had a smell, air conditioning not working in office or room. Would have played more to go somewhere else cleaner and cooler.
The room itself was absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the room with a jacuzzi. However, had to exchange refrigerator cause first one didn't work which was fine. But they said a microwave was in the room and this was a direct lie as I ask twice when booked and again when talked directly to the Hotel. If it wasn't for the man that had been employed at that location for years. We probably would not have had any service. Because the owners were not helpful...
Needed a place to stay the night before a race in nearby Oil City. The selection of hotels in the county is not great. This room was quite inexpensive but we did not have high expectations based on other reviews and based on the price. The room itself turned out to be fine, though a little noisy along the highway. Basic accommodation and the room was clean. The bathroom was very dated with cracks in the walls, very old fixtures, and just looked slapped together and very cheap. Also the breakfast area was not attended, had few offerings, and only two tables indicating that most people probably skipped it and grabbed something elsewhere. Also when we arrived, there was no one at the desk (at 5:30pm!)...in fact you had to use a phone and eventually someone walked down from a house up on the hill behind the hotel! The hotel definitely looks worn and some of the characters outside and at an adjacent facility did not make the hotel look particularly safe. We did not have any issues with our stay however, but I'm surprised this is in the Wyndham chain and would recommend for many travelers to perhaps look into the Holiday Inn Express in Cranberry or similar.
