Grand Bear Resort at Starved Rock

Grand Bear Resort at Starved Rock

5/5 Excellent
"Great Amenities & Staff, But Room Cleanliness Needs Improvement We recently stayed here for two nights, and overall, there was a lot to enjoy about the resort. The staff members were extremely friendly and welcoming throughout our entire stay. The water park and arcade were fantastic hits with the family, and exploring the canyon on-site was a lovely highlight. The resort was beautifully decorated for Halloween, creating a fun seasonal vibe. We really enjoyed the complimentary morning coffee and relaxed to the live music performance in the evening. Parking was straightforward with plenty of well-maintained spots. Unfortunately, the room fell short of expectations. It didn't feel very cozy or inviting. We found visible stains on the bed sheets, and the extra blanket provided in the room was unclean, which was disappointing given how great the rest of the facility is. If management addresses the housekeeping quality control in the guest rooms, this would easily be a top-tier resort experience."
