We decided on a late summer break to Marseille as we guessed the weather would still be good in late September which it was, even managed a dip in the sea. We took the shuttle bus from the airport to the main train station in Marseille, 8 euros one way, very easy and quick. Our hotel being a five minute walk from the station. The hotel itself is modern, clean and welcoming. Its not located in the best part of town but it was ideal for a weekend as the port is a 10 minute walk. The breakfast was fine if a bit sparse but there isn't many other places near by anyway. The room was clean and had a small kitchen which was handy. Free wifi although you will have to log in each time you come back to the hotel. We went on the free walking tour on Saturday morning which I would recommend.
As mentioned by others who have reviewed this property, it is convenient to the port area. Room was functional, clean and comfortable. I stayed for a week in September. On the second day of my stay I went to the front desk to ask for more of the complimentary decaf coffee packets which were placed in the room. I was told this was just part of a welcome package and if I wanted any additional I could purchase them. There was one bar of soap in the room. I am not a shower gel person so my soap was used for bathing and hand washing. I asked for another bar at the same time I asked for the coffee and was told that this also could be purchased. This hotel I feel is trying to be more like a time share. There are notices of resident obligations to clean room, eliminate garbage, keep utensils organized and clean, failure to do so could result in additional charges. All in all a good stay, staff was pleasant but I think they could be a little more liberal with amenities including toilet paper When the room has no facial tissue one must use toilet paper to have to go to front desk because there is only one roll to the room was disheartening.
My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights in August'17. The hotel is clean, the kitchen is fully equipped (even with wine glasses & dishwasher), the bed is comfortable. Location is nearby the station which was handy for us. We found the neighborhood a bit sketchy but still didn't have any bad experience. It was fully booked throughout our stay, so better reserve beforehand. The balcony was cute but very dusty, the receptionist said she would tell the housekeeper but later on she said that she forgot. I didn't quite mind as we stayed in and used A/C instead. A/C was working quite well. Marseille was too hot at that week so the hotel was like heaven. Overall a pleasant stay..
We stayed for one night at this hotel. Our room was clean, spacious with a good bed. The hotel is not far from the port of Marseille (10-15 minutes on foot), but getting there in the night is spooky.. We park our car in the garage of the hotel for 10 euros but parking the car was quiet an expierence!! (as every parking space is like a big closet, with door and key)..
Me and my sister were here for two days, visiting Marseille. The room was big enough for two people, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked fine (after asking the receptionist to send a technician). Also the comfort of being able to prepare food in the small kitchen space was very nice. The hotel is 12 minutes walking distance from the "Vieux port", a very nice part of town.
Stayed with my wife at this hotel. Very handy for Rail Station 5 minute walk downhill on Rue Nedelerc. Staff very helpful and speak English The room was very well equipped but could have been cleaner. The A/C was very good and silent. The bed was comfortable. There was some construction noise from 6am but this should be over soon. The room has a hairdryer which is not in the advertisement blurb, parking is mentioned but it costs 10 euros a day in an underground park beneath the hotel. The hotel is about a 10minute walk downhill to The Old Port so is handy for restaurants and cafes. Overall I would use this hotel again
stayed here for four nights our apartment was lovely very clean bathroom lovely staff very nice would haved liked a toaster they dont supply we were on the sixth floor beautyful view over the city only problem was in the cordor there was a very bad smell and didnt like the area at night time a bit scary.
We only stayed here for 1 night as part of our road trip along the coast. The hotel as a secure underground car park with each of the spaces individually locked, which was perfect for our rental car. The cost is only €10 a day however the spaces are first come first served, I believe they have around 30 spaces. We booked a studio which was a large, clean, modern room with a large balcony. The kitchenette was adequate, however did not have wine glasses . From an apprart hotel we were expecting some seating within-the room, however we only had a bed, this was not a massive issue for us, but something to consider if you are staying for a few nights, i would suggest booking a 1 bedroom apartment as I believe they are better equipped. The location is around a 20 minute walk form the port and there did not seem to be many restaurants close by.
On the last day of our road trip we decided to stay in Marseille. That was our first mistake, we should have just checked out the old port and left. The second mistake was choosing this hotel. Really, 3 stars? Why, because there is a TV and a hairdryer? The photos of the hotel online are not accurate, or maybe there have been no repairs and updates since then. The room was big and quiet, the bed was comfortable. We overlooked the brooms, dirty walls etc. The bathroom was clean. We did not use any appliances from the kitchenette. We paid approximately 90 euros for the night. South of France is beautiful and has amazing places to visit, unfortunately Marseille is not one of them. I would not recommend this hotel or Marseille to any traveler.
The apartment hotel is perfect for access to the shuttle to the airport and the station. The apartment was good, with a hob, fridge and dishwasher, although looking at the original inventory there were loads of items missing, bring a corkscrew and some hangers. It takes about a quarter of an hour to walk to the Old Port. Close by the station is a Carrefour and bakers. The area seems a little seedy, but we had no problems with anyone
