I had small room with a view over the harbour on top floor which for the €90 I paid was fabulous value. Room was clean, bed comfortable, and the stairs were good for exercise. There's no lift, the shower flooded the floor, and there's no doubt there could be some investment into redecoration, but my friends were paying €240 for a room at the Beauvau 100 yards away, and if you want to stay on the Vielle Port on a budget then I could not recommend this place more highly.

Old fashioned hotel with small rooms, but more than made up by the view. Quiet, but dustcarts start early and make a row. Lovely bar on the first floor to sit out and have an aperitif, and later extensive programme of live music if you have a late drink (food is limited to a cheese or meat platter). Many restaurants close by to choose from.

Nice room, decent wifi, great restaurant frequented by locals. Bit run down but it sort of gels with the charm of the area. If aren’t a super fussy traveller this place is great. Happy enough we stayed here. Not bad value.

This has a nice view and that's the only bit was nice. The reception the feeling of being looked after is absent. Staff very distracted to serving callers in from outside at the bar. Food is poor and don't ask for a crumb after 10 pm or you will get your head eaten off! Rooms tiny and the entrance is disgusting. its dirty ...

Restaurant is in perfectly old artificial style, any kinds of drinks are offered, we didn't try the kitchen, only breakfast, which was brilliant with outstanding friendly staff. Rooms in second floor are the best. Room no. 23 (or 24) turned out to be a bit small but good price an great view especially at sundown and dawn. Once we had the one with 2 windows in 2 directions (I think it was no. 24) with a chimney and outrageous furnitures, big enough for two. big bathroom too.

The view from to hotel rooms on the harbour and l'église Notre Dame de la Garde is really magnificient! The state of the bar and the staircase of the building would justify a renovation. In our room the toilet paper holder was broken but not repaired. For the breakfast we paid about 10 Euro extra. It consists of one big (but tasteless) croissant and two buns with some butter and a small pot of marmelade. One cup of very strong coffee is offered in a small amount. An additional cup was not offered to us. I'm sure the hotel owners will become extremly rich by offering a poor breakfast to their customers ;-)

Our visit didn't start well. The entrance is frankly shabby. And despite arriving an hour after 'official' sign-in time, we were kept waiting 1/2 hour in the bar, with not even the offer of a coffee. Then shown to a (4th floor, no lift) room where the shower was hanging off the wall. My request for another (superior, as booked) room led us to room 24 on the 2nd floor. Great room - ask for it with its double aspect - which we gratefully took. After that, things only got better. The view across Le Vieux Port is truly spectacular, morning, noon and night. OK it's a bit noisy when the dust carts sweep the streets at 4am, but that's not the hotel's fault. Breakfast is great, sitting on the small 1st floor balcony, and the staff are very friendly. And, of course, the location for ferries, sightseeing, dining and culture is ideal. I'll definitely stay there again.

Room was comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was ok for the money. Only problem was bad air conditioning. Nice location and good view over old port. Lots of restaurants near. Helpfull staff. No elevator and 5 floors so you need to be able to walk stairs.

Hotel was satisfying Room was more then OK, view at harbour spectaculair, Bar with good music cosy and trendy. What the French should learn is to service a proper breakfast Marseille.?? as weekendshopper disappointing

The hotel is a bit aged and would need a renovation, but the room was splendid. Clean and spacious. Large windows. The view is unbeatable. Location is the very best is town. Breakfast outside on terrace is heaven, but only very few places available.
