The view from to hotel rooms on the harbour and l'église Notre Dame de la Garde is really magnificient! The state of the bar and the staircase of the building would justify a renovation. In our room the toilet paper holder was broken but not repaired. For the breakfast we paid about 10 Euro extra. It consists of one big (but tasteless) croissant and two buns with some butter and a small pot of marmelade. One cup of very strong coffee is offered in a small amount. An additional cup was not offered to us. I'm sure the hotel owners will become extremly rich by offering a poor breakfast to their customers ;-)
Our visit didn't start well. The entrance is frankly shabby. And despite arriving an hour after 'official' sign-in time, we were kept waiting 1/2 hour in the bar, with not even the offer of a coffee. Then shown to a (4th floor, no lift) room where the shower was hanging off the wall. My request for another (superior, as booked) room led us to room 24 on the 2nd floor. Great room - ask for it with its double aspect - which we gratefully took. After that, things only got better. The view across Le Vieux Port is truly spectacular, morning, noon and night. OK it's a bit noisy when the dust carts sweep the streets at 4am, but that's not the hotel's fault. Breakfast is great, sitting on the small 1st floor balcony, and the staff are very friendly. And, of course, the location for ferries, sightseeing, dining and culture is ideal. I'll definitely stay there again.
Room was comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was ok for the money. Only problem was bad air conditioning. Nice location and good view over old port. Lots of restaurants near. Helpfull staff. No elevator and 5 floors so you need to be able to walk stairs.
Hotel was satisfying Room was more then OK, view at harbour spectaculair, Bar with good music cosy and trendy. What the French should learn is to service a proper breakfast Marseille.?? as weekendshopper disappointing
The hotel is a bit aged and would need a renovation, but the room was splendid. Clean and spacious. Large windows. The view is unbeatable. Location is the very best is town. Breakfast outside on terrace is heaven, but only very few places available.
This is a small cute and charmingly slightly shabby hotel, in an amazing location. The bar on the first floor has a fabulous atmosphere with local food & wine. The atmosphere of 'old Marseille' oozes from this place, even though its right in the middle of a touristy area. Views of the Vieux Port are amazing from the bar and all rooms on that side.
Very nice hotel, friendly staff, perfect view. Of course a little small but all rooms have perfect harbour view. Als the small restaurant is very nive with a small balcony. Lunch was alse perfect. Do take the double decker bus
Most rooms with great view to the harbour. Generally well equipped. Personal very friendly and helpful. For upper floors slightly exhausting staircase. Restaurant with friendly atmosphere used for breakfast, too.
Hotel Bellevue is a lovely little hotel in the Port. Every room has a view of the Port. Some rooms very small, but functional and clean. The staff are so kind and helpful. Beware there is no elevator, so suggest minimizing luggage or, as I did, use backpack for essentials for your stay and leave other luggage with reception.
Loved the oldie worldie of the place - the rooms have great views - and for the price you can't bet better. The first floor bar is quite the hang out of an evening - the food is okay - avoid the "Complet" - Having walked around the city - the hotel is superbly located and good value.
