Wonderful place in the heart of the medina. Very family atmosphere, helpful. Beautiful rooms. Quiet place. Perfect location as a base for hiking in the city. Close to everywhere, the possible transfer from the airport.
Hi this reviews the Lotus Perle with evening meals from the Lotus Privelege. The location was great for visiting the sights of Marrakech and the staff were great and friendly, BUT.... Unfortunately no way is the hotel 4* by any stretch of the imagination well certainly not in normal star categorization. The room facilities were very basic with the following issues that were mentioned and ignored:- main bathroom light not working just the wire remains of a bulb still present (but what does health and safety matter!), no soap, bathroom sink one plug stuck in the sink the plug was missing, fridge over iced and not shutting properly. Another downside to the half board holiday package we booked was that there were no facilities for the evening meal at this hotel so we had to walk 1/2 mile to the Riad Lotus Privilege where after having the same set menu 2 nights in a row (which was nice but you can only have so much of a good thing) we were after complaining and seeing other guests receive an alternative menu choice finally offered this alternate menu that had been offered to the other guests, oh but at a charge on top of already paying for half board! So not a friendly welcoming atmosphere where the customer is always right and more hassle sorting it out so much for a relaxing break! More stuff.. Oh and the drinks were London UK hotel prices with 270ml bottle of Heineken 80 dirham about £7. Not recommended to go half board and probably only a 2* hotel however you judge it I think other people impressions are high because of the nice weather and generally judging Marrakech and the Atlas mountains but that is not this hotel or the Lotus Privilege which are over priced and over rated.
On our first trip to Marrakech we were impressed with the staff at this well located Riad. They responded to my request to provide transport from the airport as we were arriving at night and it does take time to get used to the lay-out of the city. We were the only guests for the first three days and were asked to move to the more upmarket Riad Lotus Privilege ( 5 minutes away and site of the hamam) on the final day. Perle is comfortable and the furnisings have been well described in other reviews. As the weather was chilly for the first few days, we took breakfast inside, and Hakim could not have been more helpful. Marrakesh is not Madrid or Manchester and one should not try to make comparisons based on respective cultures but Perle is asafe bet to stay in Marrakech. It is also handy for the Souks and a fantastic Riad which serves wonderful food- Maison Arabe.
We had the pleasure of spending five days at the Riad Lotus Perle. We were very pleased with the location inside the Medina. You really get a feel for Merrakech by having to walk through the souk to get to your riad. You pass the fresh food, fish, meat and vegatable stands as you enter an alley filled with people. You are up close and personal with local people the entire time you spend at this location.
Spent a wonderful week in this delightful riad. very close to the medina and easy to find in marrakechs windy narrow streets. The staff were extremely attentive and did whatever we asked of them the rooms were set out beautifully. We had breakfast on the rooftop terrace every morning. I would definitely stay again.
We weren't meant to stay here, we actually booked to stay at Riad Lotus Ambre--- but we were bait and switched. The Riad is a nice and clean one, but too modern than what we were looking for. It is decorated in a Art-Deco-ish vibe, with photos of NYC-- which wasn't what we were looking for since we are form NYC. That was disappointing. Our actual stay here was nice though-- we booked two trips-- one around Marrakech and one to the Atlas mts-- both of which were amazing. Although our trip to the Atlas was delayed due to being told to be ready at 730am and not picked up until 930am- but that wasn't the hotels fault. We had dinner that was offered part of the tour packages, which was a 3 course meal or Moroccan food-- which was very food. We were served privately on their roof top( which is great to look out at). And even served wine (which is a plus considering you are in a Muslim country that doesn't allow alcohol consumption). We also had traditional Moroccan breakfast which was great! Enjoy to feed like 4 people ! It is close to the main Jemma et Fna-- if you don't get lost! I would recommend this hotel if you were looking for a modern hotel...i wouldn't recommend it if you are going for the authentic Moroccan Riad.
The staff was super friendly and willing to do accommodate us in any way. The pictures on the wall were interesting and the terrace was a great place to hangout and enjoy the weather. I definitely recommend staying here.
My wife and I booked this hotel for my birthday in Marrakech, we stayed there for 4 days out of 7 nights here in Morroco, everything was absolutely perfect, they organized for us a nice day trip to the Atlas mountains and made all the phone calls to book the places we want to go, always with the smile. Big thank to all the staff for their friendliness, I hope to come here again before next year.
My wife and I stayed 5 nights in this absolutely fantastic Riad smart and cosy at the same time, we really felt special and well looked after, the staff was amazing and helped us to book any of our activities, from the booking until the departure everything was really smooth and professionnel. I will definitely recommend this place to any people looking for something special in Marrakech.
I travelled to Marrakesh for the first time with my husband. I have only two words to explain the experience it was ''beyond amazing!''. The first day was quiet tricky getting used to new surroundings and atmosphere, but Julien and Tarik did an amazing job to make us feel at home. When we got to Marrakesh we absolutely had no plans whatever so! but Julien guided us through every possible thing available. The hotel has an amazing roof terrace where breakfast will be served any time depending at what time you wake up and they do shisha too! A perfect way to have a clam and relaxing night. And the rooms are clean as a new pin! The hotel is 10 minutes walk to the main square and a 5 minute walk if you want to get away from the old city. Thanks again Julien and Tarik for making our time in Marrakesh priceless! One of the best holidays we have ever had. Hopefully we will see you soon! :)
