This was my first visit to Marrakech and I was blown away by the wonderful Riad Idra. The property itself is even more beautiful than the photos and nothing can describe the atmosphere of relaxation and calm when you walk in. When Omar serves mint tea in the courtyard any stresses from the day will evaporate! Right from my very first emails with Karine, the manager the service was exceptional. She helped me with several bookings and questions. Also, the help and advice I received from Amine at the front desk went above and beyond. All his recommendations were excellent. The Riad really cares for its guests. On arrival, I highly recommend arranging the transfer with the hotel. It will make your life much easier! The Riad is in a great location close to the Dar el Bacha which was a good spot for being dropped off in taxis. However if you don’t know the city at all it’s easier to go with the transfer when you first arrive. It was so helpful to have Salah help with my bags and Amine go through the map of the local area when I arrived as well. The food at the Riad was a highlight. Chef Abdul is doing great things. I ate dinner there one night which I highly recommend and loved the breakfasts. You could taste the freshness of the food. The rooftop breakfast setting was so lovely! And Abdou does a wonderful job of serving. My first room was the Noor Suite which is very richly decorated in red. On my return from the desert I was lucky enough to be upgraded to the stunning Aaliyah suite. Fantastic space and gorgeous to look at. I loved the Chanel perfume and the gift of the slippers in each room! So charming. Also the hammam is small but gorgeous! The massage room has a ceiling of stars. I enjoyed a nice relaxing treatment. Don’t hesitate - book your stay here!

Can’t really add to what everyone below ha said. Decorating and landscaping, location, facilities, the breakfast spread, attention to detail, and attention from the staff is all immaculate. Love the touches in the toilet (Issey Miyake and Chanel perfumes). Just some short tips: - recommend getting a hotel transfer as it’s a little confusing getting from the taxi drop off to the riad first time around and if you let a local ‘guide’ you, they’ll expect a fee anyway - the staff won’t wake you up in the morning unless you explicitly tell them so, even if you have a tour guide waiting downstairs for you !!

My room, Light, was so plush & beautiful. Carine, the manager, is the best hostess. She gave us ideas for a great guide & activities. We changed our plans so we could spend time just relaxing at the riad. The rooftop & garden atriums are gorgeous. The food was unbelievable, beautifully presented & delicious. I had evening wine in the Africa room. My son found this gem & our family can hardly wait to go back. The staff are kind & attentive. The anticipate your needs & make the stay extraordinary.

My wife and I ended our 2+ week long honeymoon with a 4 night stay at Riad Idra in Marrakech and what a way to end our trip. We could not say enough nice things about this place. Starting with the GM Karine, she was extremely helpful, polite, considerate and accomodating both leading up to and during our stay. The rest of the staff was just as excellent. We were on a first name basis with the majority of the staff and everyone was just so pleasant and happy, it was a fantastic environment to be in. The riad itself is first class. The rooms are ornately designed and decorated. The rooftop is lovely. They offer an authentic hammam experience. It is really amazing what a peaceful escape they provide here at Riad Idra amidst the hustle and bustle of the Medina's busy streets. I would highly, highly recommend this Riad for your visit to Marrakech and if we go back we will definitely be staying here again.

Riad Idra was an amazing experience, from the beautiful rooms and incredible food to the location and service. I booked excursions through Riad Idra to a farm outside Marrakech for a cooking class (Chef Tarik's) and a guide for a day (Mehdi) in the Medina, both of which made our time there even more awesome. The location is right in the middle of the action but once you're inside it's serene and peaceful.

Beautiful Riad in a great location. A calm oasis just a short walk from the madness of the Souk. Spotlessly clean; great, friendly service; beautifully decorated spacious room; delicious breakfast and dinner. We were really glad to have found this place and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon, and loved everything about Riad Idra! It was a perfect sanctuary from the chaos of the Marrakech medina. From the moment that we checked in, the staff was incredible. They helped answer all of our questions and made us feel at home. Their recommendations were excellent. Over the course of just a couple of days, we got to know all of their names. The riad itself was immaculately clean, bright, spacious, and perfectly located. We were astonished at how well everything was decorated; the owners clearly put a LOT of work into restoring and decorating this old building. Leaving the riad, you are moments away from the souk experience and a 10 minute walk to the largest marketplace in Africa. During the evenings, we had a great time relaxing on the rooftop lounge. The staff serves (amazing) breakfasts and excellent dinners on the rooftop as well. Our room was very well air conditioned, spacious, clean, well-decorated, and had a room safe. The on-site hammam was fantastic - their staff were amazing. I highly recommend Riad Idra - we had an excellent stay!

My husband and I visited the riad for 4 nights and trust me in this ... if TA had a rating of 5+ I would have given the riad better than 5 stars...it was the best experience ever First of all the riad is perfect value for money...it offers you luxury for a relatively good value..we have been to other riads with almost same price but with a much lower quality and luxury The staff at the riad are super friendly...Cariene the manager is always smiling and trying to accommodate all your needs..you can ask her about anything and she will always be a great help..Abdo and Omar those responsible for the breakfast are very friendly and their mood make you enjoy breakfast even more The rooms are very clean...they are cleaned twice a day...enough space (not very spacious) but they are big enough to make you feel comfortable..the bathroom is very clean and they even offer you free perfumes to use during your stay (for men and women)...my perfume was channel :) We also got two Moroccan traditional flippers as gifts which was a very gesture Breakfast includes fresh orange juice, smoothie, pastries, yoghurt, cheese, fresh fruit salad, jam and butter, bread basket and a daily changeable hot meal ... so it includes everything one can eat in the morning and is always very satisfying The riad has a relatively perfect location as it only a 10 min walk to the fenaa and has 3 of the top restaurants within a 5 min walk (ex: Dar Cherifa) WiFi is also very good and the riad has a deal with one of the close parkings which was very beneficial for us as we left the care there for a couple of days I would highly recommend the riad .. you’ll have an unforgettable experience

From the moment my new husband and I walked into this magical riad, I knew this was the perfect way to end our trip in Morocco. After spending two weeks on tour around Morocco, we just wanted somewhere to relax to enjoy our honeymoon. We were greeted by the beautiful manager Karine who welcomed us with warm towels and drinks and sat down with us to check us in and even run through the map of Marrakech with us. All the restaurants that she recommended were close by and amazing. The ambience, staff and decor of this riad was so welcoming, friendly and well thought out. I have never experienced anything like this and we have both stayed in many 5 star hotels before! I would highly recommend this place and would definitely come back to stay! Thank you so much for our beautiful room and extraordinary experience.

We are now in Fez and left the Riad Idra four nights ago, and we are already missing our stay there. We booked the junior suite Kamar (the orange room). All the staff are so friendly and attentive. They took care of us like family. We arrived Marrakech at 10:30p. Prior to our arrival, the manager Karine asked me if I would like to order meals ahead of time as their restaurant may be closed by the time we arrive--so thoughtful! (The Chicken tajine with olives and preserved lemon is the best! Thanks Chef Abdel!) That's hospitality at the next level! When we arrived late at night, the Assistant Manger Amin stayed late to welcome us. Then we saw him again at breakfast, and sat with us at their beautiful courtyard to understand what we wanted to do and gave us directions and recommendations. Last but not least, our host Omar at the restaurant is attentive but never intrusive. He showed up at the perfect timing. If you are still contemplating, book Riad Idra. It is an paradise inside the busy storm of the Medina. After a day of crazy shopping and sightseeing, we felt grateful step inside this quiet and peaceful palace. The decor and plants and small fountain are remarkable, and also incredibly clean- totally spotless. Guidance for fellow Americans: Tipping at the Riad: There's an envelope in the stationary book in your room; put in an amount cumulative to what you would have given to each of the staff at the moments you were grateful, including housekeeping, hosts, etc. Give the envelope to Amin or Karin on checkout. This is not required of course, but you should be awesome. ; ) Hand shower:Water on low, then pull the lever above the knob Safe: Different from western hotels (W, Intercon etc). Must press a button on the inside frame of the door while open. Don't put your things in, close it, and expect to set your code. Hotel Transfer: 18Euros. So much cheaper to have the riad book it for you, and so much easier because it's a few steps from the main road, and the car isn't going to stop at the "front door".
