We had a child free break in Marrakech and decided to splash out on accommodation a little. This was a good move because the Riad Idra made us feel like royalty. The decor is amazing, the staff extremely friendly and polite. There is an intimacy to the Riad which you can never get in a larger place. We had breakfast on the terrace every day as we were lucky with sunshine, and it was delicious - we rarely needed any lunch as there was so much. The evening meal we had was superb, worth paying a bit more for as generally the food in restaurants was average on our trip. We did a trip to Imlil organised by Karine, which was also great. So if you feel like spoiling yourself, and can afford to pay a little bit more, I would thorougly recommend this lovely spot...

We couldn’t be happier to have chosen the Riad Idra for our vacation. It provided a great mixture of cultural immersion and feeling at home. service: Karine was extremely professional, personable and accommodating. Abdou was always there to help us as well, and very professional. rooms: The cleaning staff was very friendly and efficient. Rooms were spotless and with no noise, guaranteeing good sleep. food: Abdou always waited on us with a smile and a clear explanation of the dish. Chef Abdel’s table was a culinary experience worthy of the trip to Morocco. (We LOVED both breakfast and dinner!)

Two friends and I have just returned from a four day break at the Riad Idra situated off a quiet alley near to the bustling Souks . The weather was cold but the welcome was most warm and friendly. The surroundings were superb. From the homely reception we walked into a beautiful courtyard and from there into a cosy sitting room with a log fire where we given reviving mint tea and dainty pastries before being shown our large spacious bedroom :"Aliya", with its beautiful decor, and excellent ensuite facilities. Throughout the Riad there is every attention to detail: the excellent friendly service from all the staff; the craftsmanship and carefully considered colours of interior decoration and fresh flowers; the comfortable furniture; and the superb meals that were beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. Karine and her team were most helpful and organised taxis, guides and trips for us ( all very good) and armed us with maps and local information which were very necessary for the Souks. On our last day we enjoyed sitting in the attractive roof garden, winding down before our return journey, listening to the birdsong. I can thoroughly recommend the Riad Idra .

Returned after 3 years for second special celebration. If anything more enjoyable this time, as we had some prior knowledge of Marrakech. The Riad Idra continues to provide an oasis of comfort and charm. It was a pleasure to meet up again with Karine, Omar and other members of the team who looked after our family Royally. The special dinner provided for the big day in house was excellent. Karine's organisational skills are exceptional. Everything happens on time and as promised. In summary look no further than The Riad Idra when visiting Marrakech.

My husband and I do not normally stay at places at this price, so we had high expectations. We were not disappointed either! As others have mentioned, we were emailed shortly after booking and had dinner (vegetarian option) and transportation taken care of before we were ever in Morocco. Karine is fabulous and greets you map in hand ready to show you/recommend places if that's what you want. Or room was just beautiful! Lots of little details that are much appreciated and unique. Such as roses, a fruit tray, robes/slippers, and even your name printed in the little folder that has all the hotel amenities listed. I also appreciated the heater in the bathroom! The shower was so big I could have slept there! They really do have phantom cleaners because they had already turned down our bed and cleaned the bathroom again while we were at dinner! Speaking of dinner, at first we thought, these are tiny portions we won't be full. However, after the 4th course we found this not to be true! It was a truly lovely dinner in their stunning dining hall. Breakfast was equally great on the rooftop! Perfect way to end our 12 day trip in Morocco, thanks Riad Idra!!!!

Riad Idra was our last Riad on our 10 day visit to Morocco. We found the rooms to be spacious and beautiful. The staff was pleasant, kind and very helpful. The breakfast was special especially after a week of not so healthy foods. We would for sure recommend this Riad to our friends. We did upgrade to the suite and was glad that we did.

My experience from booking to finally saying good bye to the staff at Riad Idra has been fabulous. I can give no higher compliment than to say that I would book here again. I was travelling Solo and had no issue getting around from this centralised Riad. Inside was an oasis from the world outside and the staff take very good care of you. Emails before you arrive and you can arrange so much before you arrive. Would recommend having one meal in - the dinner I had was superb and was a combination of french and moroccan favours. Had a wonderful weekend here

This is by far one of the best top notch boutique hotel by any standards. Why? We arrived with the airport transfer and Karine already had Omar to pick us up from the main road. Everything else was history; the attentive staff who invisibly clean your room at every chance they get so your bathroom is always fresh and dry, fantastic Morocain food and super comfortable courtyard. Yesterday was particularly incredible as we have had a long day and asked if we could have dinner at 4pm (usually 24 hours notice will be required). Without any hesitation, Karine and Amin arranged with the chef and 10 mins later the menu was presented. Everyone went all out to ensure that all the guests are well taken care off. I'm sure other riads are as beautiful but Karine and her team has made my brief stay in Marrakech so wonderful. Looking forward to coming home again.

Riad Idra is a very special place. The service from top to bottom and from start to finish is very professional and nothing is too much trouble. The kitchen is superb with high quality food on offer - chef Abdel knows his stuff. Karine the Riad manager is extremely efficient but friendly and relaxed at the same time and Omar and Abdul the perfect waiters. My wife and I would have no hesitation in returning. I have to say that the Riad is quite small (only 6 or 7 bedrooms) so not the place if you want lots of activity, but for a quiet oasis to return to after a day in the Souks you couldn’t do much better.

Our stay at Riad Idra in September was a beautiful experience. The staff is attentive and kind. They helped us schedule dinner, tours, and a trip to their in-house hammam. By the way, do not leave the hotel without having their hammam experience. It is a do-not-miss event. The Riad is absolutely gorgeous. The courtyard features lots of calming and restful décor. My favorite thing in the Riad was to find a nice space to read. They have a number of really cozy areas in which to sit quietly. Marrakech can feel a bit chaotic to the uninitiated, which we were, so my wife and I enjoyed the time to decompress. Once we got to know the area, though, acclimating to the environment is much easier. Karine, the manager of Riad Idra, is on-site quite a bit, and she is very helpful. After talking with fellow travelers and locals, it appears we stayed at one of the best Raids in Marrakech. We were very happy with our stay! As an aside, another experience not to be missed is to sit on the roof top during the call to prayer, which happens around sunset. The voices erupt in song all around the medina. It added texture, culture, and beauty to our memories of Riad Idra and Marrakech. ~ Ben
