Read La Maison Rouge is situated in a nice area of the medina, about 15 mins walk from Jemaa El Fna. The room was modern, clean and had a really nice bathroom with towels which were changed every day. The terrace is really the selling point of this riad! Beautiful and relaxing with pool included! Would happily return!
Lovely Riad in Marrakesh. The service was so god, and the pepole were very friendly. The room we stayed in was very clean and beautiful. The rooftop was were we spent the most of the time, here you can relax and tan if you want, and take a dip i the rooftop pool. I can only recommend the Riad to others.
After 10 days travelling in Morocco, this hotel was absolutely perfect to finish with. The welcoming was great, the service very good, the rooms are all very charming and the hotel look amazing. Nice swimming pool area on the top floor to lay down after a perfect relaxing massage. The food are also very nice breakfast and dinner. Location is ok you will need you own map... but we were at around 15 min to the jemaal el fna.
We book a transfer with them from the airport. The surprise was than after waiting at the airport 30 minutes and call to the hotel twice, the driver informed us that we were going to another riad. We called again to the the hotel and the recepcionist told me they have problem with our room and we couldnt stay there. The riad where we were sent was worst quality and poor service even It was more centrally located. Very unprofessional and dissapointing. We decided not to stay there and look for another riad By ourselves even if It was By midnight. I very bad experience, not recommendable
Lovely stay at this Riad in the heart of the Medina. Beutifull room. Nice terrace with small pool and elegant service. Highly recomended for a stay at the vibrant City of Marrakesh. Be aware of going in June; it is a very hot month and Ramadan is niet zo convient
the rooms is dark and look must better on the fotos, if you make a reservation, ask for a suite as the differnt on payment is worth to pay, I did change my room, with a lot of problems our friends was not so lucky, the Riad is not helpful so dont expect a lot, as the wouldnt help to change the room Missing a little bit more of the Riad, the dont explain a lot of the town o have a map over the town. Breakfast was very good. the normal room small and dark and the paint is folling of the war.
We had a nice room in the courtyard. We were three girls and the bathroom was all open with no covering to the shower so was a little tricky. Breakfast was simple but fine. Staff were friendly and tried to be helpful as they could. A reasonable location to the main square and medina. It is a confusing walk to find the riad and the back alleys can be a little scary (we were followed one day), I don't think I would like to be a single female walking back alone at night. One problem was they had charged my credit card in advance through the name "Almeria", I thought my card had been used for fraud as this had no connection to this Riad La Maison Rouge - just a warning if you are booking.
Great Riad with a nice view and pool. The rooms are very authentic and the staff is friendly. Once the big front door is closed you feel like you're in a traditional Riad. Breakfast is good, not very special but good enough. The big El Fna square is on walking distance. Around 15 minutes.
This review is for the 3-bed room (called Grenat) located on the roof terrace. I'll start by saying the Riad is nice and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is simple and delicious and the staff always provided more if I asked. Having a small pool is a huge bonus, especially in the beautiful 30 degree heat we experienced. We didn't use the hamam or spa facilities nor did we have lunch or dinner at the Riad as we wanted to explore. Location is 15-20min walk to Jamaa El Fna, which was great for us. The bad points about the room and facilities are: - the internet is temperamental at best. This became more frustrating during our 3-day stay. - Breakfast and dinner are served on the roof terrace and with the room being in the same location, you deal with the noise of early risers and late night candle burners. - the bathroom in the room smelt strongly of sewage and this spreads into the room as it's not very well ventilated. The room is definitely in need of some redecorating. The safe in the room was broken and we were provide the override key. After first use, the safe wouldn't open with the key and it took two members of staff 45min to get it open. After that experience, my advice is avoid using a safe at all! We got a pretty good deal on the place, so I expected a little compromise. Overall it was an average experience and one that reflected the amount paid.
The Riad did not have the superior room that we paid for and we got a very basic cramped room instead. We saw other beautiful rooms and it would appear that as we arrived late we were given the last available room.
