We have had a really nice time at Hotel Relax - the rooms are basic but comfortable and functional, and the pool is a real bonus. I stayed here with my daughter so we had a twin room, the aircon was brilliant, shower pressure was good and the room was clean and tidy. Ours had what I can only describe as a juliette-style balcony (but not quite!), although I noticed most just had windows. We were given the choice of room on the poolside or roadside - the view over the pool is nice. The bathroom wall in our room had a partial glass section, although it was opaque so you couldn't see through it - I'm not sure if this is the case in all rooms. Reception staff have all been very helpful and polite - they were happy to offer advice about taxis, ATMs and local facilities etc, and when I asked for a hairdryer for my daughter, I got into the lift and when I arrived at my room there was a chap waiting with the hairdryer! The pool was clean and tidy, sun loungers and parasols are well looked after, plus when I asked we were given free bottled water to take to the poolside. They also supply towels for use at the pool. There is a bar by the pool, but it seems a bit disjointed from the hotel and I had communication problems, although it would be churlish to complain as I only speak English. By the end of our stay I had managed to remember enough of my 'O' Level French to get by - French seems to be the second language here. We only had the hotel breakfast on one morning; it was nicely presented, there was plenty of choice and you can sit outside by the pool if you wish, plus it was nothing like the manic "free-for-all" madness that I've experienced at other buffet-style breakfasts! It's more of a continental-style breakfast, although they did have hot boiled eggs. There is a massive supermarket / shopping mall literally across the road (be careful when crossing as the mopeds seems oblivious to others) where we found a nice little cafe/restaurant that cooks pizzas to order right in front of you - they're cheap and really tasty, plus if you can't eat it all they'll give you a take-away box. The coffee is cheaper there too. The hotel are fine with you bringing food back, as breakfast is the only meal they serve. There's also a McDonalds there if fast food is your thing, and a Pizza Hut right beside the hotel, although I preferred the pizza over the road. The hotel is around 15mins from the old town by taxi, which cost us 40 Dirhams (less than £4). However, if you're getting a taxi back from the old town make sure you negotiate the price before getting in. Luckily we were given good advice on this beforehand, as the first price we were quoted was 100 Dirhams. Make sure you bargain with them, be clear about how much you will pay and be prepared to walk away - they will call after you with a lower price as you turn to go. I just stuck to my guns about not paying more than 40 and I was soon approached by a driver offering to take us for 30. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel - I have seen other reviews bemoaning various issues but have to say I experienced none of these and would happily stay here again. Update - whilst I've been writing this review my daughter got stuck in one of the lifts - the staff leapt straight into action and freed her in no time at all! Thanks everyone for your help!
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, the food was cold all the time and not fresh, there was no variety we literally got served the same food everyday for 2 days straight and it was always cold it was the worst- would not recommend. We complained to hotel staff and they were just ignorant they did not care, didn’t even have a microwave to warm the food, we were basically eating left overs it was terrible the worst hotel experience ever !!!!!!!!!! , very basic room, no toiletries, the AC in the room wasn’t working, TV wasn’t working properly everything was just off. The only good thing I can say is the free transit to and from the hotel
This is a typ of hotel which is more motel inside and you can use it for business ( law budget) or you are forced into it as a part of a round trip like us. The room clean, not too big and with motel amenities. The bathroom small with a windows view from outside. The restaurant had more the atmosphere of a company canteen. We left early in the morning if I stayed in Marrakech for a longer time I would not have booked this hotel.
I was tired of the riad in the medina so I booked this hotel for two nights. I am so pleased I did. It's a modern hotel. Room was nicely decorated. The bathroom was nice with modern shower. The desk staff was pleasant and they spoke English so well. Zouheir was particularly pleasant and helpful.
The Relax Hotel is just next to Marjan Square, meters away from Decathlon, Marjan Shopping Centre few other shops and cafes. The hotel is modern, staff friendly, easy going, easy to talk to them. Rooms modern, they come in two types (as i seen) two single beds or one double bed and every room as a sofa, a table and a chair, wifi and flat screen telly and yeah a bathroom with glass wall (just in case you want to look in when some is using the bathroom). Shower, no bath, but good shower. NB: as you check in dont forget to ask for toillet paper and towels as you will find one or none in the room. You will find lots of channels on telly, just to name few, I seen austrian channels, italians, french and egyptian channels.
Excellent customer service Reasonable price and nice swimming pool although it's not that long. The only disadvantage that I think of is that : if you have a big family you have to rent more than one room, as all the rooms with one double bed and a couch.
The hotel is a bit far from city, from Marrakesh city centre. But the hotel is cheap with wifi, free wifi and rooms are simple but well kept. The hotel has a swiming pool and a car park (and they are for free) and also I can report that they are next to pizza hut, a coffee shop and a shopping centre) Breakfast is for free, it comes with your booking so please check if breakfast is included (otherwise you will need to pay 6€. Plus 20 dirhams if you want a coffee from there machine). Staff. I can say that the staff ws friendly but bare in mind you are in Marrakesh so ... they tried to screw me for 40 dirhams. So please pay attention!
good rooms, with nice view. the ambiance is good as you step into the hotel, we booked here after a very long drive and checking availability in many other hotels but i was only satisfied at relax e after seeing the other hotel rooms. the lift is a attraction with the wall stickers of the famous Moroc leather sandals which one assumes to be a shelf with the whole thing. PS: there was a dog who was barking and howling whole night during our stay and i guess its part of the security for the area or some shop around, but that guy was a disturbance during the middle of the night giving scary thoughts :)
If you're thinking that you'll get a nice hotel near the airport, DONT BOOK THIS HOTEL. This hotel falsely advertised for being 0.9 miles away from the airport while it is actually 15 km away. We have to pay 100 dirham to get to the airport. AND THEY NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE. I called about 5 times and no one answered and the phone was literally beside the receptionist. Even if you're not wanting to stay near the airport, DONT BOOK THIS HOTEL. I don't usually write review complaining about the service industry but this hotel is outrageous. The receptionist was far from friendly (extremely rude she was) and when we asked about the false information on the distance from the airport, she just shrugged us off rudely. Just save yourself the disappointment and stay somewhere else. There's literally nothing around here and even the taxi driver who drove us here was wondering why anyone would be stupid enough to book a hotel in this area.
The hotel is very very clean, the room is smart it has everything you need without being overcrowded. The colors are very well chosen so that it all feels comfy and relaxing. the Bath has all you might need. The pool is very clean yet small so might not be a convenient if you have kids. The location is far from the main attractions but you have all the transportation you might need taxis are everywhere. which might be good since you are far from all the noise of the city. I am for sure coming back.
