Our fourth visit confirmed once again our love of this hotel. Spacious clean rooms with fresh linen daily, a great menu choice with an expert Head Chef to explain the dishes available. Friendly, attentive staff whose single intent is to provide excellent service for their guests. A central haven to all that is Marrakech with restaurants, a shopping mall and supermarket all within easy reach. With shaded gardens and a pool when you need some time from sight seeing. Visit number five already arranged!

Thus is our 2nd time at Diwane hotel. We stayed last year. Location perfect, food shopping and lots of restaurants on Mohammed V rd. Bus journey away from madina and main square 4 dhirum each (30p) per person. Taxi depends of number of passengers. We were a group of 6 and on average we paid 50 each way. The hotel it's self is clean tidy and lovely helpful staff. We choose half board ehich was great with kids. You can choose with lunch or dinner so we had lunch the 1st day we arrived as we got there just before midday and lunch stsrted 12.30 pm. It was a 3 course menu lunch which was amazing. Dinner was a buffet and breakfast was buffet. This was fine, something there for everyone. The only down side is that the rooms are starting to look a little shabby and could do with looking at this. Also no tea or coffee in the room which I would highly recommend the management look into. Other than this we loved It.

... which made this a wonderful stay. It was out first time in Marrakech and we couldn't have asked for any more. We arrived at 12:00 before our rooms were ready and this wasn't a problem at all, we filled in the paperwork, paid the city tax and popped to the restaurant for lunch while our luggage was stored securely. The staff were very polite and very helpful. Bear in mind there is a tipping culture at any hotels in Morocco and it is well worth leaving the odd 10-20dh for the maids and staff as they appreciate this. If your attitude to tipping is why should I bother then please don't complain if the staff treat you with the same thoughts. Pool was lovely and sun most of the day but sun umbrellas available. Garden has some interesting visitors including birds, a kitten and a turtle, which was quite a funny coincidence that for me as I had just started reading the discworld novels :-) No hesitation in coming back here again. One tip - i it's your first time in a country where there is a lot of barter have a chat with the reception staff to check out "no more than" prices for taxis, drinks and other items :-) The carrefour supermarket a couple of min away is also a good guide but the alcohol section closes earlier than the rest of the store.

Central location hotel set in Gueliz, approximately 30 min walk down to the square and souks. We had a room facing the pool with a balcony. Room was a bit dated but its decent for the price we paid. Food was mediocre, breakfasts are pretty much the same each morning. Evening meals again, very mediocre. If you happen to stay over the Friday and Saturday however there is usually some entertainment and BBQ. Staff are mostly fluent in French but wasn't much of a problem for us.

This hotel was comfortable. The rooms are large and the service is good. The staff are all very helpful. I only stayed there for 2 days so did not spend much time in the hotel. It was easy to get to the centre by bus.

Just returned from a weeks stay at the Diwane. This was the 4th time we have been to this hotel, it just gets better every time. All the staff are fantastic, friendly and very helpful. The hotel is really clean and is in a great location. If you are thinking of going to Marrakech I would highly recommended this hotel. When we stay here we request a room with a pool view, it's great sitting in the balcony in the evening chilling before going for dinner. They have a Moroccan themed night. which is really enjoyable. We will definitely be returning to the Diwane Hotel in the near future.

My friend and I had the pleasure of spending a week in the Diwane Hotel and spa and we found ALL of the staff extremely pleasant and helpful with our many requests and questions, the hotel was clean, the food was very good and plentiful. Just a few things let the hotel down somewhat, the toilet in our room wobbled, they did try to fix it but it still wobbled. The beds were very hard. Tea, coffee and water were not included in the dinner buffet. We had to pay for the key to the safe in our room, and the air conditioning never work even though we had reported it as faulty on the first day. Apart from our few gripes we would go back, and hopefully we will. Our thanks to all at the Diwane, we had a great time. Shukran

Our study-abroad group with 12 college students stayed here for two nights at the end of our trip. The hotel is clean, with friendly and pleasant staff. The pool area is lovely. Breakfast is a Moroccan buffet. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant otherwise.

I have stayed in this hotel many times but have not been for some time. As is my custom I read the reviews before booking again. I found a couple of them disturbing. In particular about the violence, the charging guests for towels when they leave and stopping guests bringing water and food into the hotel. As often happens there is more than one side to this story. A fight started in a club across from the hotel which spilled out into the street and had nothing at all to do with the hotel. Some people were bringing crates of water into the hotel. Guests were stealing towels and were caught. I must confess the sum of 90 dirhams being asked for by security to allow prostitutes into the hotel is a strange on on me. Anyone who has visited Marrakech knows they operate in multiples of 10. No one asks for 90. It's either 20,50 100 or 200. I never saw any children been mauled by cats. In fact I never saw any cats As I have said it has been some time since I had stayed here and I found it as pleasant an experience as ever. Yes it is a traditional hotel. If you want to stay in a "Hilton ubiquitous box"go elsewhere. To my mind what sets this hotel apart from its central location is undoubtable the staff. They are warm and friendly and cannot do enough for their guests. I think the secret here lies in the fact that they retain staff. Many have been here for years and they pass on this caring culture. The place is spotless with towels and bedding changed on a daily basis. For the price charged by this hotel I really fail to see what more people could ask for. It is wonderful value for money. For completeness I have seen people bringing food and drink into the hotel unchallenged unless they have raided the local supermarket and are bringing in industrial quantities. The talk of bribing security quards is nonsense. I would recommend this friendly family hotel to anyone but remember it is a different land and culture. If you want more of the same then go to the Hilton or the Raddison or similar. The place is spotless and is cleaned every day. Towels and bedding arechanged daily and the food is good. At the prices times charge I have got to ask what more do people want.

My wife and i have been to this lovely hotel 4 times and it never fails to impress the staff cannot do enough to make your holiday worthwhile the food is excellent and the rooms are beautiful the cleaners also should get a mention as they do a fantastic job i hope that i will spend more lovely holidays at this fantastic hotel in the coming years as it is one of my favourite places to stay
