This hotel room looked like it hadn't been updated in 20 years! Definitely stuck in the 90's. Air Conditioning was very poor. Complained many times but only got marginally cooler. Internet was adequate. Location is good next to Sofitel and Casino and 20 minute walk from the Medina. Food at restaurant was edible but not very good. Prices were reasonable. Impossible to get smaller change at the front desk. They couldn't be bothered. Also, took 5 minutes for front desk to answer the phone for a wake up call.
Hotel room was dirty and smelled like cigarettes most of the time. Toilet is separate from rest of bathroom which leads to a lot of walking back and forth through the room. Breakfast in the morning is chaos, with the cook coming out of the enclosed kitchen, taking a single customer's order for eggs, then disappearing back into the kitchen. The only way to get eggs other than hard boiled. Everyone else left to stand waiting in the walkway. Would not consider this a 4 star hotel at all.
Brusque desk staff, no flexibility whatsoever on holding to the 2 pm check-in time, unclean public washrooms with no tissue or towels, sign on entrance to carpark said "service entrance only" leading to confusion, etc. It was an OK hotel, but not up to the high Novotel standard.
Arrived here as a group and the entry was seamless. Room is clean but air con is too noisy. Breakfast was a good Buffett with cooked eggs if wanted. At 75 euro a night its on the high scale because it is not a four star. Pool looked very inviting. Staff was polite and helpful.
Really old hotel and it's obvious that there's been no maintenance for years. The carpet in the rooms is filthy and dusty which makes it quite hard too breathe if you have a dust allergy. The rooms don't get cleaned properly, shampoo, shower gel etc doesn't get refilled on a daily basis you really have to ask for new ones which is quite surprising. You only get one towel per person and the towels are also really old and worn out. There should be a complimentary bottle of water in the fridge on a daily basis however they don't refill as they should and if they do because you ask for it they only place one instead of one per person. This is definitely not a 4* hotel. The service is poor and the rooms are even worse. Never again!
Worst service hotel ever been, no welcome kept me waiting for 1 hour just to check in. The manager are very rude, i've try to be bice and stay quiet when it busy but this guy kept me waiting and service the other that come after
The service is the greatest in the world, pool boy mustafa is the greatest in the world. His service is exceptional. Recommend everyone to come to Novotel #MUSTAFATHEGREAT ..... more words they want 200 minimum but words can't comprehend how great his service is
The hotel had a good location and the public area was nice as well, but the rooms needed refurbishment - the smell was not good at all. The shower and the bathtub needed to be drained and even though we asked for it to be fixed, nothing was done. The staff was not very helpful and friendly at all.
I can easily quote that this was the worst Novotel - in terms of cleanliness, customer service, staff response and overall the state of the hotel. I was blatantly given an uncleaned room and had to plead the staff for hours to get a room change, even after they acknowledging that the room I was given was not clean. Have pictures of rooms as proof.
The hotel itself is very modern and lovely, rooms are very spacious however our curtains were dirty upon arrival and throughout our stay and some furniture showed clear signs of wear and tear (lampshades, microwave). We had a room at the front of the hotel. Unfortunately, the windows did not block out the noise from the street which was particularly noticeable at 5 am... The reception staff was pleasant but quite disappointing, leaving us waiting and stopping mid-way serving us to chat to another member of staff for example. We had a few problems with key cards too, even though we did keep them away from phones and other devices. I was personally impressed that they had a room for us available at half 11am to check in, even though official check in time was 2pm at no extra cost. The pool was fantastic and the cocktails in the bar amazing.
