We stayed at 2Ciels Boutique Hotel in Gueliz (the newer, more upmarket part of Marrakech). The room was nicely designed, very spacious and had a great view. Whilst it would’ve been cool to stay in a riad (guesthouse) in the centre as most travellers do, the Medina is incredibly chaotic and so it was nice to stay away from the mayhem. It has two gorgeous pools for you to enjoy, one on ground level and one on the rooftop! Click the link in my bio for my full guide to Marrakech.
Nice place to chill away from the crowds of Marrakech room size adequate balcony good shower and quiet.Bed big Anan soft Service around the pooll area very slow. Best breakfast good. Great Reception staff. I would recommend
I've visited Marrakech maybe 17 or 18 times and, to date, have pretty much always stayed in a riad, the same riad (which I do still love!), where everyone jokes that it's my second home. But this last trip I decided to try somewhere new as well, and I am SO glad that I did. I loved, loved, loved everything about this hotel. From the team working there to the breakfasts to the decor to the spa. My room (305) was a very good size, the bathroom really quite big (with balcony), and the bed was just so comfortable. The team on reception couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. I absolutely loved chatting with them, particularly Khalid and Hanane, who I hope are fully appreciated by the owners because if I were opening a hotel, I would go out of my way to poach them! All the front of house staff were exceptional, however, and I'm sorry that I didn't catch any other names. Special mention also to the teams in both the restaurant and the rooftop bar (which is amazing). Charming, efficient and just really, really nice! Whoever's in charge of recruitment is doing a great job! The hotel is so beautifully decorated, and in a lovely fresh, bright and contemporary style too (but you still know you're in Marrakech, which is important to me). I won't lie, I kind of wanted to steal a lot of the fittings and bring them home! (I didn't, but I have taken a lot of photos to try to replicate it!!). Oh, and it smells AMAZING! Breakfast was an absolute treat, far and away the best I've ever had in Morocco, and possibly anywhere. The selection is vast, it's brought out in small quantities so doesn't get stale or dry, and eggs are to order. I also had a great meal in the restaurant, Patron de la Mer, which is an excellent and (rightly) very highly rated fish restaurant. I'm not really a spa person but the weather wasn't great one day so went for a hamman; the spa is incredible, serene and beautiful, and the treatment itself 5*. So, to repeat myself....I loved, loved, loved everything about this hotel. So much so that, having returned home 3 days ago, I've already booked to go back in a couple of months...
Well I will start how they ruin a birthday party of 16 years old teen I’ve bring my family to celebrate my nephew’s birthday and I’ve bring my cake of course I told them to wait a little and then bring it as a surprise they say we have to pay 2€ per person why? Because we didn’t buy the cake from them and this is the manager’s policy I didn’t want to cancel everything I said it’s ok even it’s cheap to ask extra money like that second thing my sister ordered exotic juice it was apple in it 😳 the most weird mom wants double espresso they give her American coffee I don’t which kind of training they give to their staff and which kind of policy is that
This is a beautiful hotel that has the most comfortable beds that I have experienced in Morocco. The rooms are a good size and the bathroom is exactly as expected from a luxury hotel. The buffet breakfast was vast and enjoyable. I recommend getting a hammam while you are here as well.
2Ciels was our home base during our stay in April. The service is excellent and the food was outstanding at each of the various restaurants/bars. We split our stay as we went on a desert tour for 4 days. Our excess luggage was safely stored at the hotel while we were off on our tour. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the welcome plate of fruit and cookies was a very nice touch. Thank you to all the staff at 2Ciels, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Excellent hotel! Wonderful and big rooms, with fruit basket, water and a big bed! Nice staff and good breakfast. Good location in a area full of restaurants and stores. It needs more chairs in the rooftop pool.
We stayed here for 4 nights after staying at the Savoy. The Savoys great but twice the price and no where near as good as here. The rooftop pool / bar / restaurant is a great place to spend your day chilling out on a sun lounger or playing cards early evening - there’s also a DJ into the early hours. The ground floor restaurant hosts guests from outside and is fantastic - live music every night, brilliant service and lovely fresh fish. Fish by the kg is expensive but this is the norm with fish restaurants so be careful and do your maths. Front of house staff couldn’t do enough for you. Good breakfasts, nice spa with excellent treatments at a reasonable price. The rooms are gorgeous with views of the city. Would definitely visit again
Lovely rooftop pool and bar with great views. The staff were always so helpful and quick to act on any requests. Clean rooms with a really comfy bed. Location is great as there are lots of restaurant nearby including one in the hotel. Range of food for breakfast and always great service
I stayed here with my husband and three teenage boys after a 5 day trek in the high Atlas Mountains. This hotel was everything we needed coming back from the wilderness to civilization. Quite location, cool colonial style and excellent staff. Extraordinary breakfast buffet, which we were able to enjoy outside by the pool. We enjoyed the roof top bar and pool area. The restaurant served us dinner 2 out of 3 nights and the food was really good. The only thing we and especially our teenage boys would like to mention is the music, which was a bit too loud both at the roof top and in the restaurant- Also we would prefer not to listen to cover versions of pop music all the time. If we visit Marrakesh again we will definitely be back to this hotel!
