Excellent place to stay. Staff was amazing. Room was very spacious, peaceful, and well decorated. A short walk to downtown made this the perfect location for a weekend stay

Comfy bed and giant room.

Updated clean and location

Really cool-renovated property. Stayed at one of the higher end rooms and it was well worth it—room had a balcony facing towards Lake Superior and the sunrise was beautiful. Front desk is in an odd place but the staff was wonderful. Continental breakfast was the best I’ve ever had— definitely eat breakfast there!

Absolutely wonderful place at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend!

Not your typical hotel. It’s a converted mansion/hospital and the renovation was done exquisitely. Beautiful art/maps on the walls, spacious room, coffee bar in hallway 24/7 (I love this). Our room had a comfy bed in one room and a pullout sofa in the other which was perfect for our 5 & 8 year olds. We did the shipwreck boat tour which was super cool and only 1/2 mike away. We also ate at Miner’s Pasties and ice cream…twice in 24 hours. The breakfast pasty was amazing and had super flavor. 10/10 would stay here again. They’ve thought of everything and it’s a beautiful place.

This was such a nice place! We really enjoyed all the space of the rooms and the restaurant just a few steps from our room. It was prime location to be able to get out and hike the pictured rocks. We'd love to go back again in the winter to visit.

Liked the feel and decor, great location on main drag. Disliked no reserved parking for guest, street parking, no assistance dragging luggage up steps, an inoperable 1980s cordless phone in room, a filthy chair in room,no food accomodations for guest returning from sunset cruise, poor breakfast offering, provided an iron but no ironing board, had to remove tub hardware/stopper to drain tub while showering, room and carpet unclean and a manager that was unresponsive to our needs and seemed not to care when presented with these issues. I won't be back! Highly over-rated.

Well the pictures of where I was staying, and where our actual room was, we’re very different. They have a whole other building that looks run down and that’s where our room was. I got a “Bay View” suite. Well that was barely the truth. The room was set up where you can’t even see the water if you’re sitting or in bed. There’s a huge school right out our window. It should be called a school view. The tv didn’t work. Constantly went in and out. Stains all in the carpet, and the bed was literally the worst! I am not happy with it at all! Will not be back.

Just a fun place to stay. Unfortunately because of covid-19 the on-site bar and restaurant were closed. Rooms were modern and clean. Walking distance to downtown.

Nice room. I felt it was a bit overpriced. No real complaints.

Beautiful, comfortable and really great stay. Dinner at Tracey's was also perfect.

Roam Inn has a certain little charm about it. The history of the Inn is fascinating, as it originally started out as a hospital. The remodel of the rooms are fanatic and the Tracy restaurant, that is located inside the Inn serves amazing food. The staff is outstanding and very nice. It is a very well kept Inn, the housekeeping/maintenance staff does a great job. It's a place you feel like you are at home (not in a hotel room). We will certainly go back :)

Overall hotel was fine. The experience was spoiled by the complete lack of view. Two feet from the window was a high wooden fence, so all we could see was wood! Made all the sadder because the other side of the hotel had spectacular views of Lake Superior.

Needs ceiling fans and ice machine access. Great bed and very clean room. Friendly staff.

I am used to staying in your typica larger chain hotels. These options are very limited to say the least in this area so the only thing guiding my decision were the reviews from the other customers and boy were they right! Beginning with the upgraded room with a view to the hand written note from the Hotel Manager, this day was a pleasure. Clean, well kept room and a beautiful view. From the cleanliness, to the comfortable bed, to the internet connection, They did it right! Would highly recommend and will stay again next time I’m in town!
