Historic Hotel

This property is historic therefore bring your patience. The hotel was built in the 1940s and you can tell by everything being small. What is Really nice is the outside sitting area. Grab a book out of the room and a cappuccino from the coffee shop. If you need handicap accessable then this hotel is not for you. The coffee shop also has light food menu.

This is a quaint inn, with apartment like rooms. We encountered no staff onsite but were given directions on how to check in on our own. Rooms were a bit warm when we arrived, no AC had been running.

Mariposa is a cute town and in a great location near Yosemite NP. Great restaurant options in town - we walked to ours. Hotel is older and AC worked slowly

Outstanding service and accommodation

Cool little inn on a quiet street. The owner was very accommodating and responsive. They had to scramble to find us a crib as they had none left when we checked in. She was super sweet and was able to locate one in town for us to use during our stay. Outstanding service and ability to accommodate us. Really went above and beyond. The room was nice and spacious. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The only thing I'd say is the bathroom could use a little more attention when cleaning. Overall it was a great stay for our trip to Yosemite!

The room is vintage and well maintained. I love the decorations in the room. However we discovered a few ants under the coffee machine and in the bathroom. The water stream of the hand wash tap was very small. The location is good with ice cream shop and supermarket.

We really enjoyed our stay. The check in was easy, we got there around 6:30 and our room assignment was on the board and key in the door, no staff to check us in. The bed was super comfortable and the room was clean. The shower was a little small and the door did need to an extra push/pull to close but these weren’t any bother to us. The AC worked great. We loved coffee at Sticks and heard it was the best in town. The town was cute, everyone was nice and we enjoyed the restaurants in town. Great stay for our trip to Yosemite!

Suite #1 is nice and spacious. The bed to the right is less creaky. It was difficult to get the water to a comfortable temperature in the shower. When we got back from dinner, the parking lot was full, and no one answered our or messages to help us find a safe place to park.

Location, location, location Only 1 hour away from Yosemite National Park, which is unbeatable, but that’s all. The hot water is unstable, it comes and goes, which makes shower impossible. Text to the stuff, been told that he will check next day, but still same issue. WIFI isn’t stable, actually, it doesn’t work during the evening, which is really annoying. Half of the door was covered by bushes, it is difficult to access to the room, definitely needs some trimming.

We loved the area with the cute shops and even a wine tasting room down the street. The bed was comfortable but the area under the bed was full of dust and cobwebs. There was a loud compressor type noise in the area next to our room. It looks like that space is used for storage so not sure what the noise was from. And the bathroom was very small. The shower had a sloped floor that required you to stand in the very middle of the floor where you couldn’t step away from the spray to wash. Also, my 6 foot boyfriend’s head was about 6 inches above the shower head, so taller people don’t fit in this shower. Last but not least, the front door to the outside parking lot would not shut completely without kicking it shut. We would not recommend staying here.
