Fantastic check in procedure being able to turn up when we liked and see our room number on the chalk board. No need to worry about getting there for a certain check-in time. Ample parking on site included in the price. Lovely and clean, spacious accommodation with really comfortable beds. We all said just how comfortable the beds were. Highly recommended. Would definitely stop here again!

Our room was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable! The bathroom was also spacious which I appreciated. This property is located right in town and very walkable to restaurants and shopping. If visit Mariposa again, I would certainly stay at River Rock again.

Everything was fantastic, except for the shower water. It kept switching between cold and hot automatically, which made my shower at the end a contrast. Love the complimentary bath toiletries and clean sheets with quiet area.

Cute motel!

Such a cute little motel! My room was very clean and cosy. Great communication from the property owners. Cute cafe onsite although it wasn’t open during my stay. The town itself is adorable. Lots of great restaurants. I ate at the Bbq place next door which was incredible after a day hiking in Yosemite and I also ate at the farm to table diner. I’d definitely stay here again.

We arrived late so never met the staff but hey communicated by message do we were able to check in without an issue. Mariposa is a lovely town and we used it to move on to Yosemite would stay again if I’m back in the area

We weren’t sure on driving up, but liked the spacious room and quiet. Within easy walking distance of a BBQ place, tap house, and ice cream shop :) Had a very nice patio area to enjoy in the evening, and a coffee shop on site (but not open Sun/Mon). Would definitely stay here again!

Couldn’t find our room at first and called the number on the wall for assistance about 3 times and nobody answered. Don’t like having our last name on the outside board for all to see and to know what room we are in. Very unsafe! Room was dirty and cobwebs all over ceiling.

Great location! Laborday weekend Sunday- Monday! Downtown safe all that great! Cons- staff didn’t pick phone calls or return messages. Hot water stopped for shower after 5 min max- noisy room from plumbing piping who knows - old building decently clean with tiny shower. It was a single room! Unfortunately, not a good night rest due to the noise from the pipes and other appliances in the room.

Room needs freshening up..

Room needs fresh paint job and detailed cleaning to make it more pleasant to sleep in. Layout of two bed room had odd layout with no divider to allow for privacy in bedrooms. With no ceiling light in the bedroom, the low wattage bedside lamps made it impossible to read anything. Bathroom wall and floor needed deep cleaning and re grouting.Black growth around bathtub molding was present. There was a coffee shop in complex and other eateries within walking distance of inn.
