We drove back and forth through Marinette looking for this hotel after dark because the sign and outside lights were not turned on. Check-in seemed very slow... there were two parties ahead of us and one clerk, but the process felt like it was in slow motion. After that, everything was fine. The bed was comfortable, the room was very basic and a little outdated. We were disappointed that there was no pool. Breakfast had a nice variety, including hot and continental items.
Nice clean room at an affordable price. No elevator for those that may need it. But its only 2 floors. Beth was amazing to deal with. She was up beat and very friendly. Has the personality that you need when dealing with the public. Made sure we had what we needed.
I will start out by saying it was a clean hotel. It is fine for a quick stop through, but not a place to go when on vacation. It was VERY expensive for what we got. In fairness, we had to pay a higher rate due to a waterfront festival miles away, but even their regular rate is too high for what they offer. The hotel has no pool/hot tub, no place to hang out, or anything more than the basics. The rooms were very crowded (a chair and ottoman were basically in the closet area to make it all fit). The sink area had no space for toiletries etc. Our TV only got 15 (lousy) channels- we were told they need to get the cable guy out to reset the TVs. It was the most expensive and most disappointing hotel we stayed in all week.
This was about on par with my experiences at Quality Inns: dated rooms but decent breakfast and helpful staff. We had a double-queen. The room was so small that the two queens barely fit. There aren't a lot of accommodations available in the Menominee/Marinette area, and they are surprisingly expensive for a small town, particularly during the summer. For the same money, we stayed at a Sleep Inn the night before in Milwaukee that was like-new and had much larger rooms. Despite the small breakfast area, the offerings were up to par with what I expect from a low to mid-range hotel like a Quality Inn, including eggs and sausage and a waffle maker.
This is smaller Quality Inn. The rooms have everything but are not large. The bed and pillows are comfortable. They include breakfast but the eating area is small. This is in a town of 12,000 people on the Michigan border.
We stayed here because another booking site said it was in Door County, it is not, so that was a disappointment. However the customer service of this staff was wonderful, they let us cancel the second night so we could go to Door County, upgraded our room, and were by far the most friendly hotel staff I have dealt with in a long time! There is a train that runs near the place so it was a little louder than I would have liked, but the rooms were clean the breakfast was awesome, and I would recommend if you are going to Marinette County
This hotel is a good place to stay in this quaint small city in northern Wisconsin. Check in is fast and friendly, the room was quiet and clean. The bathroom had the amenities of Choice Hotels, and breakfast was slightly less than I anticipated. I imagine that because the hotel was not busy, some items (orange and cranberry juices) looked not fresh. Check out was quick. Parking is plentiful and the area seems safe. I would stay there again if coming to town. The best of the hotel is the staff.
I was here for one night and the front desk staff was wonderful, helpful and polite. My room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfy as were the pillows and bedding. Thank you for a lovely stay...I'll be back💕
I was traveling with my family and was pleasantly surprised. We were traveling and passed through around midnight and decided we needed a break. I booked online with my choice privileges and was greeted by a friendly front desk agent which was wonderful as we had been traveling for 9 hours (3 kids in the car). The room had 2 queen beds, was on the 1st floor, spacious, clean, and had fairly modern decor. The beds were comfortable and we were all able to get a good nights rest. The sink is outside of the bathroom, which was a little odd. Breakfast was simple but adequate; with waffles, sausage biscuits and gravy, egg patties, sausage patties, yogurt, bagels, cereal, coffee, and juice. Check-out went smooth and we were on our way again.
We always stay here on our way to Green Bay... we have never had an issue... till this time... we booked online through choice privileges and we had a suite with whirlpool tub.. got the confirmation and everything... When we arrived they did not have out reservation the room we booked was already taken...... not a good start to our vacation
