Clean, perfectly functional, great location and an easy place to stay. Mila is very friendly and helpful in arranging access to the building and its great having a kitchen and more space when I'm in Manchester for a few nights. Would recommend
perfect weekend away, short walk to pubs and shops, Indian next door useful on the way back from a night out. rooms had under floor heating which was lovely, Jacuzzi bath fabulous too. I would recommend as a place to stay much better and cheaper than a hotel for a group of 4.
I spent a couple of nights here at the beginning of December to visit the Christmas markets and friends, my husband, daughter and I. I have to say that I didn't have any problems with the staff, in contrast to the other reviews. .. polite and helpful! They were already on site when we arrived. We had flat number one; a nice surprise, considering that I booked a 1 bedroom flat and ended up with a 2 bed one! And that's what we needed... we were travelling with our 1 year old daughter and a travelling cot was provided for her; unfortunately it was too small, so I shared a bed with her while my husband slept in the other room! The kitchen was well furnished and clean; lounge was spacious and nice; bathroom was clean and offering all the essentials. .. it would have been nice to have a shelf where to keep our stuff and a larger towel rail but it was fine. The flat is situated on a busy road so yes, it gets noisy. Personally I didn't mind, but some people could find it annoying. Plenty of restaurants, bars, supermarkets. .. everything you need is on your doorstep. I'll probably use it again next time I visit Manchester. Thank you.
Similar to a below review we booked up in June this year for a weekend away, the afternoon the day before we were due to arrive I received a basic email saying they where unable to supply the accommodation . Less than 24 hours prior to our arrival! Dream house had taken our payment in June of £600, held our cash for around 5 months and the day prior to arrival cancelled! When I phoned I found them most unhelpful and that they weren't even bothered in the slightest! Our booking merchant were left to try and sort us with something alternative. Reading other reviews I am not surprised this is common practice and speculate that they have no regard for their customers, would save yourself the hassle and not use!
Do not use this company. Booked in September for 2 night stay for a city centre conference in November. Received an email via the 3rd party booking merchants (not even Dreamhouse themselves)! at 4pm on the afternoon of our planned arrival that they were 'unable to honour the booking'. No explanation given, passed pillar to post when trying to speak to someone in the company and eventually just referred back to merchants. Entirely unacceptable service, no offer of alternative accommodation or expenses to cover cost of new short notice reservation. Absolutely terrible management of the situation - will never use again. No responsibility taken for their own mistake and no apology for tremendous inconvenience and stress caused.
Travelled with 4 friends for a fitness event. Our apartment was huge! It was over 2 floors, with 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sitting/dining room with open kitchen. Perfect location for the event we were attending. Would highly recommend and would return.
We ended up arriving early, after asking if we could check in early, to be told the apartment was still being cleaned. No problems, we would go out for lunch. The cleaner (I think) took our bags and locked them away, took our contact number and said we would get a call from the agent when it was ready. Nice lunch out in the City, and we headed back. The agent as,ed who we were (with the cleaner their) to say we had no reservation, she asked for our room, but as we had not checked in, we had no idea. Suddenly she realised we were in room 8, and the j trial confusion was sorted. Location of the apartment Is fantastic. Right next to the Hilton, close to a few bars and restaurants, and not noisy at all (it's a city centre, there is going to be noise! The apartment was nice, but really is not luxury. There were gaps in the laminate flooring (especially in the bedroom), the shower was weak, it could do with a lick of paint badly, ironing board and iron need replacing, the lift was old and creaked. I enjoyed the stay, and would probably go back, but the luxury title should really go. It's a decent staying point for the city, but by no means luxurious.
These apartments are in a great location. Most places are in walking distance or a short taxi away. Deansgate bars and clubs are just round the corner and there's a whole host of restaurants and eateries close by. The downside for us was that lots of things were broken in our apartment. The sliding door (out to the very small balcony) did not close properly, the beading between the master bedroom and hall had come away, the iron did not work, nor did the coffee machine (which we discovered after having bought coffee to put in it). In defence of the weekend representative, a maintenance man came to fix the sliding door promptly and the iron was replaced. The second issue we had was the apartment was not quite as pictured on booking.com, the living space was much smaller and it was showed to have either a double walk in shower or a spa bath, but had neither, the bathroom was a basic shower over bath combo. The Decor was of point too, with a tattered floating shelf below the TV and not only paint splashes over the kitchen cupboards but actual masking tape still stuck on (we were told by the maintenance guy the apartment had been painted the previous month?) Finally - parking. We were told on arrival to park in the Euro Carpark behind the building, once we had paid the initial £12 for 24 hours, we discovered signs to say the Carpark would be closing at 7am the following morning for 24 hours and that any vehicles left would be removed. This turned out to be because they now hold a food market there every Saturday. We found alternative parking over the road with a private Carpark for 10 per 24 hours so all was not lost and I would recommend going there first. All in all we had a great weekend away and the apartments were fine. Just not the luxury we were expecting, for the price we paid, the way it was advertised and compared to other places we have stayed for a similar or lower price.
I have just come back after a 2 nights stay at dreamhouse apartments. Myself and boyfriend went with 2 other couples and stayed in a 3 bedroomed apartment. We were here for a wedding at The Great John Street Hotel, the apartment was in an ideal location for the hotel, literally around the corner so walking distance is extremely high heels! The apartment is surrounded by lovely restaurants and bars! The entrance is a little hidden but if you see the MASSIVE hilton hotel you then need to find Per Cafe and Bar and the entrance is just nextdoor! The apartment was lovely and modern. We arrived last so ended up with the smallest bedroom but it was still big enough for 2. The beds are a bit on the small side, my boyfriend being 6'2" was hanging off the end of the bed and I whacked my arm on the bedside table (it was very close). The apartment has 2 bathrooms, a jacuzzi bath, washing machine and dishwasher with tablets for you to use. It also has an ironing board and iron and clothes airer! Overall the apartment is lovely and I would recommend it!
Dreamhouse is probably a bad name. Also, a hard one to keep up with as it insinuates the apartments are perfection, they are not. These beautifully furnished, modern flats sit seconds away from the Deansgate area of Manchester including many restaurants, a local Sainsburys and a train & tram stop. That's good, tick. My apartment was on the third floor. It was fairly spacious, had comfy beds and sofas, and a lovely bathroom. Tick. However, there are a few problems. There are a few minor issues with the fittings, including scalding hot bath water, which could do anyone a nasty burn, a very loose bannister, which wobbles left to right when used, a black dome on the bottom of the TV screen, as well as heating that cant be adjusted unless you call up head office. That is a bit of a pain but the flat is normally cosy, or thereabouts. Never cold. One unavoidable point is the outside noise. I cannot understand why people are complaining about the noise, what do you expect, staying metres off one of the busiest streets in Manchester? So, my response is, do not stay here at weekends! During the week the noise is bearable, but light sleepers be aware! A stones throw from the Museum of Science and Industry, the must -do Coronation Street tour, and local amenities; these set of modern apartments are great. I would certainly return... but only during the week!
