The Space:
We are excited to welcome you to Gatsby, a four-bedroom, three-bathroom duplex penthouse, located in Manchester City Centre. The property features a striking modern art deco theme, complete with a grand spiral staircase, iconic Roaring '20s movie wall art, and a cinema room that sets it apart from any standard city stay. This apartment sleeps up to 14 guests.
Kitchen & dining area
The upper-floor kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals during your stay. We offer a fridge freezer, oven and grill, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, Nespresso machine, kettle and toaster, and induction hob. We also offer complimentary Nespresso capsules, coffee, oil, and salt & pepper. There is a 14-seater dining table perfect for hosting a dinner party or enjoying a meal together with family and friends.
Bedrooms
There are four king-size bedrooms, all fitted with blackout curtains and ample clothing storage. One bedroom features two king-size beds, making it ideal for guests who prefer twin sleeping arrangements without compromising on space.
Bathrooms
There are three bathrooms, offering both shower and large bath facilities across the property. We provide bath towels and hand towels, as well as complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap.
Living area
The living area connects seamlessly to the cinema room, where a 100-inch screen TV with access to Sky Entertainment, Netflix, and Amazon Prime awaits. The space is decorated with iconic movie wall art inspired by the Roaring '20s, creating an atmosphere that is as entertaining as it is stylish.
Sofa beds
The sofa can be converted into two comfortable double sofa beds. Depending on the booked number of guests on your reservation, you may need to contact our customer service team who are on-hand to arrange a sofa bed set-up, where additional charges may apply. Location & parking
Gatsby is located in Manchester's vibrant city centre, placing you within easy reach of the Palace Theatre, Manchester Art Gallery, and Bridgewater Hall. The city's central bar and retail district is within walking distance. There is a public car park located off premises - charges may apply.
Good to know
As this property is situated within a city centre apartment block, there is potential for noise from outside and from other inhabitants of the building. The property is equipped with noise decibel monitors in the communal living space and the downstairs landing - these are not recording devices and only monitor sound levels. Exterior security cameras are in place outside the front door for guest safety, monitored 24/7. CCTV also operates throughout the building's corridors and outside the bin store.
Entry is via smart lock self check-in, and the building has elevator access. The property also includes a hair dryer, iron, hangers, smoke alarms, a carbon monoxide alarm, a fire extinguisher, a first aid kit, and free WiFi throughout. Your kitchen starter pack includes washing up liquid, one dishwasher tablet, one washing machine capsule, a sponge, a dish cloth, and two bin liners.
Guest Access:
Upon booking with us, you will receive access to your personalised Guest Pass. The Guest Pass is powered by Enso Connect – an Airbnb trusted partner. Here you will receive your check-in instructions including any access codes, Wi-Fi details, local recommendations (& exclusive discounts!) and much more. You will receive a link to your Guest Pass in your booking confirmation message.
In order to protect both the property and you, our valued guest, you must complete either a mandatory deposit authorisation hold of £250 or a £70.00 non-refundable damage waiver (Please note that the Damage Waiver option is not available for bookings placed within 24 hours of check-in, or for stays of 28+ days or more). This can be done on a card of your choosing via the Guest Pass. If you select the deposit authorisation hold, no monies are taken from your card unless damages are caused during your stay, or additional fees are incurred. This may be for things such as late check-out, undeclared guests, and/or extra nights. The deposit authorisation hold is usually released with 1 working day of check-out.
Kindly ensure that your Guest Pass verification and deposit authorisation hold or damage waiver, are complete prior to your check-in, as you will not be able to access the apartments until this is complete.

Other Things to Note:
Please note we do not manage the building and cannot be held responsible for any maintenance issues in building communal areas.
Upon entering the building through the main entrance there are 7 steps.
If the elevator is out of order, you will be required to take the stairs up to the 4th floor to access the apartment.
Outside the apartment there is a small lip when entering the door.
Within the property, the kitchen, dining and living space are all accessed by spiral staircase only. There is no lift to the upper floor of the property. Please keep this in mind if you have any additional accessibility needs.

Unfortunately, this home is not pet friendly. If you wish to bring your furry friend with you, then please check out our other homes. We have a large number of other homes that welcome your furry friends.
Please note, the window on the upper floor currently does not have an opening mechanism. To ensure ventilation, poles are provided to safely prop the window open. This window is scheduled to be replaced but as this is a grade 2 listed building, the consultation process with the local authorities and heritage organisations is lengthy and ongoing. We apologise for any inconvenience and kindly ask guests to take extra care when using the window.
Please note for sleeping arrangements, one bedroom features two king size beds.
