I have justv returned from Malta on the 23rd of June 2017. I sincerely do appreciate the manner at which the staff work. First the rooms are well taken care off and very neat. The receptionist are very patient and willing to make very useful advise when need be. in particular Mr Nick Ward, Marian and one other receptionist on a low cut hair (not sure if she is called Christy) was super committed and passionate in their duties. Also Ms Fabiana, the two Annas (big and small) at the breakfast sessions were wonderful ladys whose attitude and manner of approach to guest are highly commendable and a plus to the Golden Tullip hotel. indeed this hotel is well located, but i do think its possible to have different meals not a routine in Breakfast :) Also the beauty of this hotel as well as room prices one may assume it has all that may be required in the rooms like water kettles, tea, etc but not at all. i do believe this should be in rooms of such prices like mine well, good enough when asked you are given free..... Anyway whats important is i enjoyed my stay during my meetings for over 1o days in Malta. I must not forget to commend Ms Alexandra, the officer in charge of arrangingcity tours at the hotel. she is so lovely and approacheable. Thanks Golden Tullip you made my stay so beautiful but i believe your services can be better than this please.
Having stayed whilst working in Malta it was bliss to walk back in the door in the evening, and the bar being short stagger to the right serving ice cold beer was mm ,mm ah. I found the staff especially the reception staff exceptional. I had a spacious room with great air con. i eventually got a sea view which was great for the sunrise. The food was good albeit with such a location you are spoil for choice with eat out or in .The roof top pool was great and spacious for chill out beside it. Location for town and walks are great too, with no need for taxis, I found WI-fi OK, but really who needs great WI fi when they are on holiday?, i can only say i was sad to leave and would go back. breakfast was good, and nice quiet indoor pool with spa, all in all a good choice , thank you
I’ve stayed in the Vivaldi hotel for two nights for work. Starting on the positive side: very spacious & nice rooms with a view, good bed & pillow (several types available). Airco was needed and worked well. Silent rooms thanks to the double glazing. The swimming pool is officially only open from 9 till 18 h, but on request the indoor pool is opened earlier, which was nice. The biggest disappointment for me was the internet. As I was travelling for work, internet connection was important to me (as a tourist, not having internet could be a luxury ;-). The problem wasn’t solved during the two days stay, which was quite frustrating.
We have just returned from a break in Malta and stayed at this hotel. It was spotlessly clean and the young lady who took care of our room was exceptional. The hotel is very convenient for the beach and shops. It has a spa too but it is hard to get staff to provide towels etc. The food is good quality and delicious but perhaps should not be served as a buffet meal. There is a bar/cafe in the hotel reception which is excellent and a roof top cafe also serving drinks and snacks. There is also a wonderful roof top pool area. If I had anything negative to add it would be that restaurant staff might try smiling more and being more jovial generally speaking and perhaps put a little bit more meat etc on plates for dinner. I loved the hotel and I loved Malta and would recommend it to anyone. The bar man in the reception area was fun and made up for more churlish staff. Well done Vivaldi.
The hotel, which is luxurious and in a very good location, was under renovation, fact that we were not told. The service at the reception was not what we expected ( trainees willing but unable to help due to internal policies, the regular personel, which might be less than the needed for such a big hotel, was somehow slow, rooms were ready after 3.00 p.m. etc). Although, our room was spacious, and with a view to the sea.
Nice hotel, well located – a little bit away from the noisy streets of San Giljan. We stayed in a big room, with sea view. The room was quite old, but it was not a problem. The hotel is close to lots of good restaurants and bars. The breakfast is good and there is a lot of options.
Lots a lively and good quality restaurants and bars in Paceville. This a reasonable mid priced hotel, with Ok service. The pool bar on the roof is not always open and pool is small (5-6ms long) but there appears to be plenty of space around it. The loungers are not very comfortable. Breakfast is good. Full English and continental choice but closes at 10am - on the dot! Don't be late or they won't let you in. Rooms are spacious, but like the whole hotel is tired. Its seen better days, but still worth a stay if you get the booking at reasonable value.
I spent three nights in this hotel located in Saint Julian. The hotel is clean, quiet and the rooms are comfortable. The check in is only at 3:00pm which can be a problem for those who arrive early in the Island. It was my case, but fortunately the kind staff provided me with a room quite fast. The breakfast in the hotel is very good with a number of options. The hotel is walking distance to good restaurants, coffee bars, supermarket and to one of few sandy beaches in the area. On the top floor there is a swimming pool, not big and not heated. That pool area needs a retrofit since it does not match with the rest of the hotel.
This is quite a good hotel with reasonable prices. Unfortunately during our stay there was a refurbishment going on therefore we couldn't make use of all the hotel facilities. Even the dining area was closed at that time and was transferred to some sort of a corridor. However the rooms where excellent, clean and of high quality. The staff where very welcome and on the whole it was a good experience. I would still recommend this hotel.
Staying 1 night for business. Looked promising from lobby, was offered an upgrade to a sea view room but told that the double bed needed making up so it would get done. I asked about the rooftop bar and was told by one reception member that it was closed but then another chipped in to say actually it was opening from that day. That information was wrong, I checked several times and it was never open. The restaurant menu is one set themed dinner per night. The lobby bar is a bit odd so avoided it. I spent 30minutes trying to get through to room service (to order from the limited menu) without luck so gave up to have an early night. Wifi is average. Got into bed to find I had a single duvet on a double bed still, so called reception who then had a maid deliver one some 15minutes later. Not even a kettle in the room for a tea or coffee. I haven't even got to breakfast yet but I am not optimistic. Barely a 2 star hotel and no where near a business 4 star.
