Hotel is housed in an older building with a lot of great architectural features, however the rooms need a update, and some paint. I only stayed one night so it was ok. It's walking distance to the veteran station which worked out great for me since I took the train from Copenhagen to Malmö. There are some interesting art shops/ galleries at Lilla torget. I was there on a Saturday and they had some kind of street food thing going on, so I bought some and ate it on the bench while people watching .
I have stayed here multiple times and have always been happy with customer care and the quality. The rooms are cozy and the high ceilings and the heritage feeling adds to the charm. Imagine a heritage apartment completely renovated, fresh and clean and homey. Great hotel and really great value. In summer you will love how close it is to the main square where everything is happening.
Great location, next to Lilla Torget. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good and substantial. Clean and well maintained hotel. The location is great, very close to the train station and close to all amenities. Highly recommended.
Value for money. We stayed very central and close to everything. The breakfast was amazing and The staff greeting us in the lobby were great. We loved hotel Scandic Stortorget and if we plan to go back we will use Scandic
A very good location in the center of the city close to shopping and restaurants. The service was good and the room was clean and nice. The personnel was kind and helpful. I would definetly book again and I recommend!
The staff sent me to the room 3 times wrongly. No room service avaible. The toilet had an empty shower gel and shampoo. It's the worst hotel I have ever been too. The good part is that the location was good. Breakfast was great but staff wasn't polite.
The hotel is located very close to the train station and the main shopping streets. The room was very nice and clean. The only downside there was no proper bar although drinks were available in the reception area.
The staff were all friendly, warm and unobtrusive. We were upgraded to a suite with a great view over Stortorget, a really comfortable bed and a great shower. Breakfast was wonderfully Swedish, including lingonberry jam, sourdough bread, Greve cheese and Senapssill (herring in mustard and dill sauce). I was in heaven! The location is smack in the centre of town, which is great if, like me, you're looking for bars and a general buzzing atmosphere. However, earplugs are offered free at reception! If you want a typically 'lagom' Swedish hotel in a great spot, go for the Scandic Stortorget!
Good location and a substitute for Scandic Kramer when it is fully booked, worn older hotel with comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Quite okay breakfast and fantastic friendly staff, sauna broken but it was okay to go over to Kramer and use that one, unfortunately put it on yourself? (45 minutes to get up the heat). Parking directly outside the door
Located in historical downtown of Malmö. Just walking distance from train station or possibility to part in front the hotel in paid public parking. Refurbished and fresh room with high ceiling. Be careful if you get the room close side to neighbouring building of bar entrance with too loud music in the evening. I needed to change
