Greatly located hotel near the old city centre just opposite the main station for sure was highly fashionable in the old days. Not every hotel ever hosted quests such as Ray Charles, Abba, Alan Alda.... . The hotel would deserve some renovation to highlight its old days glory.
Another late review of our last Euro Trip. We took the bullet train(1st class, worth every penny) in from the north and that was a pretty cool experience on its own. I have to start off by saying some pretty cool people have stayed at this hotel, if you are a history buff like I am. Lenin and a whole host of others have stayed here, its on a plaque in the main lobby. The hotel is an old place, in an old part of town, very convenient for walking around the old part of the city. Saying that the rooms stay true to the historical nature of the hotel, they were comfy no complaints, just if you are used to standard north american rooms and are picky about it, it might not be the place for you. For us it was conveniently located so we could go up and about and explore the old city without being to worried about going to far to enjoy ourselves. The staff were nothing but courteous and helpful. The breakfast was also top notch and ensured the next leg of our journey didn't go on an empty stomach.
Find, taking in consideration all the prices ranges of the hotel nearby Malmo central station this hotel, for the value, was a good find, friendly staff, good rooms, nice breakfast and available parking (at a fee)
I had a great stay at the hotel and I've no complains at all PERFECT! They have a very good breakfast with long opening hours. Very helpful staff if you need help with anything. There was a lot of noise outside, but the hotel had very good windows, so it wasn't an issue inside the room.
Great location, in front of the central station and literally, just off the bus terminal for the airport; Comfortable room, classic and functional furnishings; excellent breakfast, great choice both salty and sweet, friendly, helpful and efficient staff
just meet the expectation. The room was very clean even it was the last room ever in the hotel. the breakfast was wonderful. the hotel designs were impressive typical Scandinavian styles. I highly recommend this hotel, specially the location
This hotel is totally okey with a good location but don't expect anything extra when staying here. Parts of the hotel really need some restoration and renovation work done but part from that it has a nice charming touch.
At arrival it was easy to park outside hotel for smooth check in at reception. With good handle, reception referred to collaboration Indoor car park only 200 meters from the hotel.Professional reception staff. Room was well cleaned upon our arrival and continued during our stay (well done maid staff). Breakfast was ok and it is what you can expect. Despite it was lot of people during breakfast, it was a lot of space and easy to find table. Breakfast staff was quick to clean tables for new guests. Unfortunately we did not had time to use the resturant, but menu looked nice with variation dishes. One thing, wich is not very pleasent, (nothing that hotel staff can be blaimed for) is that its quite responsive. However, it is an old building and this is how the property was built for over hundred yeras ago. Overall, it is a nice hotel, and we will certainly return...
After an awful experience at an Airbnb in Copenhagen we switched to find an affordable alternative in the area and found great rooms in this hotel in Malmo. We wish we had stayed here the whole time as we were so relaxed. The city was a delightful size with enough to do for a few days. The hotel was very nice too so we enjoyed spending a little longer in bed, especially as breakfast was served until 11 (although there is not much room for seating). Would highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel was perfect as a place to stay before catching the train to the airport in the morning. Even though it was raining, the very short distance was very easy to do. The front desk help was very friendly, and even offered to carry our luggage to the room. We probably should have done that, because the stairs were a challenge for my friend with an injured leg. The configuration of having to take stairs in between the elevators was a little difficult. Overall a very good place to stay in Malmo.
