Our flight was delayed due to technical problems at Palma airport Thomson informed us that we would be taken to a hotel for lunch and refreshments It's located in a Palma de Palma but off the main seafront We were given wristbands and this allowed use to have as much non alcoholic drinks as we wanted and access to the restaurant We spent all our time in the bar pool area as it's was a very nice day Cakes and sandwiches and nibbles were high quality and were refreshed often Lunch was incredible the choice was fantastic and endless amounts too with free wine or beer Well done Iberiostar hotels you made our disastrous day turn out to be more pleasant and certainly less stressful Oh did I mention free wifi all day too !
Liked the hotel in general. Big, clean and great swimming pool. Room ok but view wasn't good from the balcony. Food was good some nights but others the meat was hard or the veg were overcooked and worse than that almost cold. I'm a bit of a cheese addict but the cheese was very bland too, so disappointing. Sweet selection was better than the main course selection. Area is very German orientated but if that's ok with you the beach is close and there's lot's of cheap beer in the bars along the main strip. Good week but room for improvement.
the hotel Cristina is a excellent, the staff is very friendly and helpful. We was We have stay in this hotel twice in last 20 months and we love it. We were two and we took family room, that was very nice, the room was very clean and the staff friendly.
The hotel of the Iberostar is excellent from first hand experience, was on holiday at the resort and it was not great, small room, not a great view, had to pay additional small fees for every singe thing. I would return to the hotel but not the resort probably.
Modern rooms, very clean.Staff very friendly and helpful.A good choice of food at all meals. One major problem was people smoking around the pool. Not acceptable for non smokers and children around the pool and snack bar.Separate area should be made.Entertainment was good team worked very hard.Loud music videos played in between entertainment was annoying.
Rooms: Light, airy and modern rooms, spotlessly clean. We were lucky to have a first-floor room with a shared garden, so we could lounge outside on the grass. Food: The food is FANTASTIC. The best I have ever tasted on an AI buffet. You could not fault the choice or the quality. You also have a choice of sitting indoors or outdoors and you're served drinks at the table. Every night there was a different theme, Japanese, Italian, Mexican and the staff stood at the front of the restaurant to hand out complimentary nibbles and gave a small performance of the evening entertainment. The only area of improvement on this front would be to allow AI diners to sit and eat around the outside bar area at lunchtimes and to have a BBQ night once a week outside. Service: Excellent service by all the staff who were friendly, helpful and spoke English. We received a complimentary drink on arrival which was a nice touch. I have never stayed in an Iberostar before but i would definitely return. I complained one morning about the cleaners starting at 8am and a group of German men coming back early hours and they took it extremely seriously and assured me that their security team would be on patrol and that they would speak to our neighbours and the cleaners, and everything improved after then. Spotlessly clean and a great service. I think the staff are well looked after and are happy, which speaks volumes. Kids Club & Entertainment: The animation team and bar staff work very hard to ensure you have a great stay. They constantly checked up on us to see if we were having a nice time. Vicky, Claudia, Emma are all English speaking and work as part of the entertainment team and kids club, which is extremely safe and secure. The girls went out of their way to dance and play in the pool with my daughter and took great care of her on the kids club outing. My daughter loved the Mini Disco every night and LOVED the Iberostar Mini Disco CD she received as a gift, which is constantly playing in the car. The daytime and evening entertainment programme was fantastic, something different every day/night, to suit all ages and not cheesy or chavvy; we really enjoyed the Frozen show and the 80's night, as we could all get up, dance and take part. Bar: There is table service and occasionally the team come round with fresh melon and cold drinks at your sun lounger. My only complaint was that the cocktails on the AI package were very weak and the white wine wasn't anything amazing but if you ask nicely and give them a tip, they will make 'authentic sangria' which will do the job ;) Point to note: There are alot of Germans staying at this hotel, we only met 4 other English speaking couples and some of the staff struggle with English, so if this bothers you, then i would consider staying elsewhere. We made friends with a few English speaking couples and our daughter enjoyed mixing with all the kids and learning new languages. Hotel Photographer: VISTA Photography was AMAZING. Vera took the BEST photos of my family that we had ever seen. She is the most talented photographer we have ever come across and had her work exhibited in the National Portrait Gallery, that's just how amazing her photos are. She was extremely patient and attentive with my 7-year-old who can't keep still for 2 minutes. I cannot recommend her more highly enough, and she was an extremely friendly and easy going person. There was no pressure to buy and she helped advise and guide us on the best options. We also had our photos taken at the brand new Iberostar opposite, which provided the perfect backdrop to our stunning photos. The resort: Outside of the hotel is the beach and shops, so everything is nearby. The beach is very clean. A little further away was the centre of Palma which is well worth a visit. You can take a bus from outside the hotel, which takes a good 30/40mins. I personally would grab a taxi as they get packed, hot and sweaty. Palma had beautiful architecture, like Barcelona, quaint Boutiques, Cafe's and restaurants and a beautiful marina with lots of expensive yachts. We did the red bus tour and saw the main highlights but you can also do a horse and cart trip around. Overall: We had an extremely relaxing holiday, that was because we were made to feel relaxed and entertained and trusted the kids club team to care for our daughter. I would definitely return to this hotel.
We have just arrived home having spent a week in the Cristina it was fabulous! One of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. All the staff were excellent especially Miriam the manager along with her other manager colleague sorry did not know his name they were so attentive and friendly. We had a problem with our shower and it was fixed immediately and a nice little note was left for us to tell us it was done. Food good great choice so all in all a very relaxing time and a lovely part of Mallorca. So thanks again we had a wonderful time. Sally & Kevin
We have stayed with Iberostar hotels twice in the past and they are probably the equivalent of a better Marriott hotel and they always have superb rooms and pool areas. Now, based on our past experiences we booked this hotel and it was clean and well presented and the location is just wonderful, but it is not the best place for an English family as the staff of the hotel as well as shopkeepers and bar staff in and about the resort are very cold towards the English. If this hotel was in a different resort, I would have rated it with 4 stars but location is one of the 2 most important key factors for us and this location was a disappointment for us.
We returned home today to miserable rainy England, leaving behind Mallorca and the lovely Cristina and the 30° heat. Our first visit to this hotel, firstly i want to say WOW its an amazing hotel, sparkling clean, bright and a real breath of fresh air! The area is great, short walk to the golden beach and amazing clear sea, take a walk along the vibrant seafront day or night its buzzing and full of friendly people. The family room we stayed in (343) was at the reception side of the hotel, very spacious and airey with a seperate living room and large toilet/shower room, cleaned daily to a very high standard thankyou. The balcony had sunhine nearly all day long. The food at all meal times was great,a wide variety and something for everyone we especially enjoyed the japanese themed night, the dining room staff and waiters couldnt do enough for you and were very efficiant at clearing tables and serving drinks soon as plates and glasses were empty, top marks to them all. The entertainment team were amazing they gave 100% all the time they have amazing energy keeping everyone happy,we spoke to Vicky a few times a local girl to us from England we would like to say to her shes doing a great job keep doing what your doing! We played bingo monday afternoon with the young chap dressed as Pikachu,he was really funny great entertainment hes a natural had everyone in stiches really enjoyable thankyou. The Manager Jose is a true gentleman always stopped to say hello and ask if we were all ok and enjoying ourselves, took time to chat with our son about football..All through the ranks the staff are very friendly and have great manners and that to us goes a very long way. I would happily return and give a recomendation to our friends and family to visit the hotel. We cannot fault anything about our stay in the hotel and the resort it was a great holiday 5* for all concerned and Thankyou for making our stay very enjoyable.
Having read some of the previous reviews recently lodged for this hotel I can only say it must have changed significantly or we simply went to a different venue! Friendly, caring and very helpful staff is all either I or my wife could say. Buggy / wheelchair friendly hotel too. I would say during our stay 60% of the clients are German however every member of staff we interacted with spoke English (and several of the entertainers for the children and Day/evening events are actually from the UK) and there were many English clients too. The rest were made up of Dutch, French and a smattering of Americans. We went all inclusive so as you would expect food and drink was free including snacks at the poolside bar. Cocktails, well known spirits brands and fruit slushies for the children - you just can't go wrong. Drinks and fruit brought to your poolside bed all day long by smiley, friendly staff. Today one of the entertainers dressed as a chicken and another as a frustrated chef and much fun and frivolity around the pool occurred involving children and parents (and adults without children) - lighthearted and genuine fun. There are plenty of food options and all cooked to a restaurant standard despite being a buffet style - super chef stations with live cooking occurring at every mealtime. During the day there is plenty to do for adults with good sized pools and a play centre for little ones. The main outdoor pool is heated although not to bath temp - enough to stop anyone turning blue through. This has been sincerely one of the best holidays I have ever had. I for one like very good holidays two/three times a year across many countries so my feedback is comparing multiple competitors that could learn a lot from these guys. Room tips: staying on the 3rd and 5th floor means your balcony is glass so little ones can see across the hotel grounds from the balcony. We overlooked the small car park and tennis courts and had a slightly obscured view of the sea - perfect for our young family - super if you don't like lots of noise since poolfacing is also theatre/entertainment facing which with kids disco at 8.15pm and adult entertainment starting at 9.15pm until 10.30pm ish could be noisy if you like an early to bed, up early holiday. Massive advantage for us with a young family and the 15 million changes of clothes per day is the free to use laundry service - they have a washing machine and dryer facilities - all free to access (bring/buy your own laundry soap) for guests staying at the hotel. Quite honestly a big well done to the team of the Iberostar Christina.
