the room & bedding was clean and could hear the neighbouring rooms talking ,taking showers etc, found it very noisy, breakfast wasnt bad at all but the evening meals left alot to be desired!it was chips & fish every night, the beef was as tough as old boots, salad was put out but with no ham etc to go with it only tuna, maria & the restraunt staff were lovely and freindly but some of the other staff could look & be a bit more freindly,we wont be going there again

We had a beautiful stay in this hotel all staff were very nice and helpful food was ok no problem found something every meal time the room was small but comfortable the beach just across the road was beautiful reception staff were very helpful with everything we asked them very clean hotel great bar in town to go near the square to people watch called bonys good price drinks also.

We were very lucky to enjoy 2 visits to the Romantic Hotel this Summer..10 days in July..and a cheeky 5 day visit at the end of August! Both holidays were thoroughly enjoyable..we were well looked after by All the staff..from the Manager..Paco..Reception Staff..Bar staff...who were very attentive..Restaurant staff..we were on a Bed and Breakfast basis, which was fine...and the Housekeeping staff who cleaned the rooms to a very high standard every day. We love the location of the hotel..and the ambience of an Adult Only hotel suits us for a couple of weeks a year..all in all 2 very happy customers who will return next year! Thankyou Paco and all your staff...Keep up the good work..see you in 2018!

We booked one of the front rooms overlooking the beach and so glad we did it was lovely to sit out on the balcony and watch the world go by. There was a fridge in the room, no extra charge but presumably included in the overall price. The room was spacious and spotless, towels were changed almost daily which was more than was needed. The food on offer was plentiful and varied with a choice of pasta, red meat, chicken, fish, sometimes paella sometimes pizza, vegetables and as much salad as you could eat. All the staff domestic, serving and reception were friendly and helpful, we didn't experience any delays at the bar, there was always a smiling welcome at the dining room. This was our second stay at The Romantic but some of the other guests have been staying there, sometimes twice a year for twenty and more years. The location is perfect for the beach just over the road, a fifteen to twenty minute stroll to the Pine Walk and about five minutes the other way to a wee jetty you can walk out and take in the view of the bay.

The rain was lashing down so we thought we would catch our evening meal at our hotel. Breakfast had been good and the staff helpful and friendly so we didn't envisage any issues. Wrong, we sat down followed by three other tables, sadly we saw their orders taken and looked on longingly. We weren't served or approached so we popped our raincoats on and left to go down into the square. The lady on the customer desk was bemused that we hadn't been served?

Good points: Hotel is in a great location and adults only, no pool but the beach is just over a small road. Rooms very clean and bright with air con, bathrooms are spacious with a walk in shower and the shower is one of the best I have come across abroad very powerful and no loss of hot water. Staff especially the cleaners are great always say hola when they see you most of the other staff are ok as well but the manager never speaks to you reception offer good advice and are efficient. Only one small lift but was not a problem. Location: brilliant location turn left and walk about 1k and you’re at the port and square and the start of the pine walk which is nice. Turn right for 10 yards then right again and this takes you to some bars and restaurants (cheaper than at the front see my separate reviews) and also if you keep walking you come to the main road where you can catch a bus to almost anywhere on the island. We went to Can'picafort, Alcudia, and Pollenca Town (well worth a visit nice church and the 365 steps (knackered after going up but the views are worth it). Really cheap only 3 euro for 2 people to can’picafort which is 15 miles away, you can even get a bus to Palma from here. Bad points: Food is not all that good breakfast is OK but if you’re not there when it opens you do not get any runny eggs which I like, main meals are mostly tasteless and warm never hot but what makes it worse is they now have a payable restaurant at the front of the hotel so waiters pass you in the dining room carrying plates of delicious smelling and nice looking food to serve to the paying tourists. If you want a fridge in your room which I think should be standard in all hotels you have to pay 45 euros per week which is a rip off 20 euros a week like we paid last year in cala bona is pretty fair but as I mentioned this should be standard in hotels and not charged. The resort itself is expensive a beer and a glass of wine on the front bars was around 7.50 euros but the bars in the back were an average of 5 euros still cheaper than the UK but if you take the same price for a beer and a wine in cala bona your looking at an average of 3 euros if you are a beach lover it costs 15 euro for 2 sunbeds and a brolly another rip off buy a brolly for 12 euros and lay on your towells. I do not understand how they charge this much if they halved te price they would make more money we noticed that most chargable sunbeds were not occupied. I don’t know how the self-caterers go on as the meals are expensive especially on the front eating places 12 euros for hamburger and chips but as mentioned there are some cheaper and excellent places at the back of the hotel which I will review individually because they are all so good. All in all it was a great holiday and I would go back to this hotel if they improved the food and added a fridge in the room or at least charged less.

Fantastic location looking over the beach at Puerto Pollenca. The food was slightly disappointing and the condiments which accompanied were not the best. I had the club sandwich which was ok, but not the showcase sandwich I'd expected. There are better places to eat along this part of the beach in my experience.

Stayed first week August 2017. Very pleased with Hotel, much better than we anticipated as it isn't rated with many stars. The location is absolutely perfect, just walk straight out across the road onto the most wonderful sandy beach. Room was cleaned every day and could not fault it in anyway. We stayed bed and breakfast. It is buffet style and there was always plenty to eat, came away stuffed every morning. Definitely would stay hear again. The staff were brilliant, always there to help. Booked it through, who we have been with before and they are first class, we certainly recommend them

Lovely hotel 2nd time of staying there, great shower rooms cleaned every day and plenty of choice for breakfast. Opposite the beach not too far from the main town and restaurants so ideal location.the one moan it would be nice to have a kettle in the room as love a cuppa when I first wake up but had to wait till we went to breakfast

This was our 4th visit to the Romantic in August 2017 & we are already planning to go back again. Perfect location, Lovely rooms. Friendly staff. Right on the beach & close to everything. Just sit in the bar area and gaze out to sea.
