This was our tenth visit to this wonderful hotel. It just seems to get better and better. The staff are all amazing. So welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Tolo and Anabel work so hard to ensure that everything is perfect for everybody. We were always greeted with a smile and made to feel special. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The food both at breakfast and dinner was outstanding with a great choice. Something for everybody and all fresh and well presented. Chefs were excellent and the buffet was replenished frequently. Our room was lovely and clean and the high standard of cleanliness was maintained throughout our stay by Mercedes. Lovely walks around the area and regular bus service from outside the hotel into Palma. Bus service at the bottom of the road to go to Palma Nova. We went by train from Palma into Inca where there is a Market every Thursday and also a leather factory. Taxis available outside the hotel. We love this hotel and we always know that we will be able to have a lovely relaxing holiday. I would recommend this hotel to anybody. Looking forward to next year.
We stayed here for 2 weeks in July 2017. Hadn't been to this part of the island before and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very nice, location including beach area is fab. We will hopefully return sometime.
Hotel location, staff, service, food, room, pool excellent. From arrival being greeted with a glass of cava to our last breakfast at the hotel, we had a lovely relaxing break. The staff are very helpful and responsive - anything I asked for was received within five minutes of making the request - very impressive - only other place experienced this level of service was in Dubai. Didn't want to have to put towels on sun beds but did this because other guests did although not a problem to find a sunbed when needed. Very much hope to return soon.
Just come back from a weeks stay with my partner. What can I say apart from excellent service all round from this hotel, we arrived by taxi from the airport which took only 20 mins cost around €30, greeted by the friendly reception staff who booked us in hassle free and gave us a free room upgrade without us asking. The hotel is modern but tasteful, our room was the same and very comfortable, enjoyed a great sea view it was spotlessly cleaned and fresh for the whole stay. We stayed half board which is worth doing the buffet breakfast and dinner was good quality and the choice was extensive. Something for everyone with a good choice of local dishes, always find something new to eat each day. Pool area is great, never struggled for a sun bed and has direct access to the sea with a pool bar to keep you refreshed. Illetas is quite but easy going and relaxing. If you feel like a trip to Palma the bus stops right outside the hotel. All in all a fantastic holiday which was made even better by the staff in all areas of the hotel, always enough of them around, very professional but friendly, always smiling and ready to help. Hope to go back next year.
We stayed for 6 nights mid September and were looking forward to it based on positive feedback, however, we did not enjoy our stay. We stayed in room 436 in September 2017 and the walls are paper thin. Every night up until midnight we heard loud footsteps above us (sounded like dress shoes or women's heels) and each morning at 8am we also heard tables being moved and various scraping and shuffling. The laundry prices are also very expensive and the gym had no water. Location is decent but not a lot of diverse options around for food. Mallorca was a beautiful place but unfortunately this hotel took away from that.
Stayed at Hotel Bonanza Playa for a few nights in September. The way the hotel is designed, all rooms have a sea view. Our was spacious enough, clean and comfortable. The pool area is lovely, with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas available even late in the day. We ate lunch at the pool restaurant a couple of time, food was delicious and service was good. The hotel caters for a large number of people, however it never felt hectic. We found the pool area to be tranquil and relaxing. Loved the little access area to the sea as well! Staff were so so friendly, and welcoming. They really are a great asset to this hotel, especially those on reception and front of house. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, however you do need to get a 5 minute taxi to access more high end eating places. Taxis were a bit of an issue, we had a 30 minute wait one evening, other guests told us they waited for an hour in busy times. The hotel do what they can, but it would assist if they pooled the guests together, as we found most people waiting were going to the same destination and were happy to share. Also some kind of taxi ticketing system would be helpful, so that there are no disagreements about who is next it the taxi queue. The hotel charge EUR 3 a day to hire a safe. I didn't quite understand the need for this charge, as surely it is in their favour to try and keep any theft risk to a minimum. In my opinion these things need addressing really, as they were our only negatives about the whole place. Lovely hotel and would definitely return / recommend.
A warm and friendly welcome at the hotel on arrival, easily accessed from the airport. Nothing to fault over the 3 days we stayed, open most offer time around the pool area where there were always sun beds available and the food and drink from the pool bar was excellent.
Hotel modern with a great mix of age groups and nationalities. Reception staff very friendly and helpful (especially Vera) We had a junior suite on 9th floor. Fantastic, huge room , great views and superb bathroom. Just one fault the air con was totally inadequate for the room resulting in it being very hot. I asked for a fan but none available. Food was really nice with good choice in the main dining room. Nice to have lunch at pool restaurant with lovely views. Pools (3) all well kept with plenty of beds ( just as well as we saw a woman sneaking towels on two beds at 10 pm!) fresh towels every day. Entertainment rather low key with a fantastic flamenco show one night. We took the number 3 bus, which stops outside the hotel, into Parma twice at 3 euro for two. All in al a great holiday
Visited Bonanaza Playa after a 3 year break and there have been significant changes. Now caters for very young families and adults. Previously children 11years so it has a split personality trying to cater for two distinct groups and falls between the two. Gone is the two evening sittings now only one from 6.30 with children very much having their hands in the food. The restaurant is divided into two adults/families but it is difficult to manage this and to overcome this a little a adult's on Krystal restaurant has ben introduced, quiet, good service but limited menu, those on half board eat free. Also it is noticeable that several experienced and respected staff have been transferred across the road to the Bonaza Park, a sad loss and big mistake. There are now two pools, one for adults but space for sun beds is limited with family groups and push chairs and the usual towels on beds at 8am. The previous pool management appears to have disappeared. Aso the sunbeds now have no cushions which Bonanza please note they have at Sol Mathias and Sol Beach house in Palma Nova, However the Hotel is clean and the our bedroom was spotless and superbly maintained by the staff. The location is fabulous and views brilliant with a bus stop to Palm outside the hotel.
This was our third visit til RIU Hotel Bonanza Playa and this hotel is still worth a visit All staff friendly and helpfull, our room was very nice with wonderful sunrice over Palma Bay We went halfboard and this was value for money. So we spent a lovely and sunny week in Illetas in a very nice hotel. We will definitely come back.
