This hotel is a 4 star to me as it has a few comfort issues. The sun beds are uncomfortable so you can't fully relax. The rooms are updated and adequate but we could hear all the goings on above and adjacent to us. The beds could be better but the rest was fantastic. Great pool and pool bar where you could enjoy a lovely lunch taking in the great views. There was definitely a personal touch and after a few days we got familiar with the staff who were very pleasant. The breakfast was all you would need and more. The diving area and gym are easy accessible for if anyone gets a bit bored. The location is great for having a stroll around but not many decent restaurants close by. You can easily get a taxi or a bus to other areas which are not that far away such as Palma, Andratx and Portal Nous. On the whole this hotel has a friendly feel, not to large so you get lost in it, good food, good location but lacks in the comfort aspects.

I do not give many hotels a five star review but it was easy to do so in this case. My partner and I stayed for a week in late October. The half board option was so little extra that we went for it on the basis that if we used it for just a night or two then it would be good value. After our first dinner on the first night we were so impressed that we never looked to go elsewhere. Breakfast is a very extensive buffet with everything you want even including Cava if you fancy an early buck's fizz or whatever. This is not a Premier Inn style buffet where stuff hangs around for ages once cooked - there are several chefs around preparing omelettes to order etc. Dinner is either an equally excellent buffet with an amazingly wide choice or else at no extra cost you can book into a small table service restaurant of near fine dining standards. In the buffet, it is possible to order a bottle of wine and if you do not finish it, they will if asked carefully label and seal it and return it to you the next evening. Many people do this so you don't feel like a cheapskate if you do. The hotel dates from the 1970s and is a functional rather than pretty building but it has been extensively modernised to a very high standard. Most of the rooms look out over the swimming pools, garden and sea and have balconies. They have been recently modernised and are exceptionally well thought out and comfortable. Bathrooms are at the back in an open plan arrangement but you can use a sliding door to separate the bath and bed areas if you wish. There is a large shower and a separate toilet cubicle. Plenty of storage space as well as a desk and comfy chairs. We often found a gift in our room - a box of chocolates or even a bottle of wine. There are two pools - one for quieter adult use though few children were staying at the time we went. Probably different in the school holidays. Nearly always a sunbed free if you want one and fresh beach towels provided. There is also access to the sea from the side of the hotel. What makes the real difference is the attitude of the staff. You are greeted personally on arrival by the manager who gives you her card in case you want to contact her. Just about all the staff had a great attitude to customer service and really seemed to enjoy their work. Many have been there for years and many guests (mostly from the UK and Germany) return year after year, though you are not in any way unwelcome as a "newcomer". It is hard to find any faults at all. The evening entertainment (generally MOR singers or bands) can be a bit noisy if your room is near it as ours was but it does end pretty promptly at 22.30 and so not a big problem. This is an exceptionally comfortable, well run and well located hotel which we also thought was good value for the quality of the rooms, facilities and food. We will almost certainly be back.

Nice amd clean resort. During my stay in early November it was fairly quiet but I guess in high season it can be very busy so not sure how well they cope with the crowds. Rooms were fine but this open plan bathroom idea might cause some issue to people. Still don't get the point of this design. Cleaning ladies tend to chat out loud in the early morning hours (8:00am) outside the rooms which is definitely annoying. However they do serve a good and rich variety of breakfast. All areas are clean and pool outdoor space very pretty. Location wise there is a bus stop just outside the hotel with buses going to Palna or a 15 minutes drive to Palma. They do have private parking but charge extra 10 euro per day. Overall a good place to stay and relax for a few days.

Very Good Hotel with a warm well coming reception friendly staff superb room with a very beautiful view to see good swimming pools ideal location bus&taxi stand just in front of the hotel door parking is available but with the hotel parking fee it’s around 12.00euro per day

Visited this hotel on business trip/conference. Hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. "Welcome food" was awesome and breakfasts were really tasty with plenty of choices! The view and surroundings are awesome as well, especially if looking for a nice relaxing place. At the time of year we were there, there were mainly retired people so it is hard to judge if this hotel has a high volume night time. Unfortunately I didn't have time to visit the spa, but it sure looked good!

The hotel service is really extraordinary, no matter if it is pool service, waiters, reception or other staff. We found it great that we on half board could choose between ala carte restaurant or buffet restaurant, which both served excellent food. The room was spacious with balcony overlooking the ocean and palm trees in the garden. Really beautiful. The hotel is situated in a quiet area, so you can easily sleep with windows open. Great to have bus to Palma just outside the hotel, so you will normally not wait more than max. 10 minutes. We would love to come back!

We had requested a room with a view straight out on water and when we arrived this was exactly as we had requested. At all times the staff were most attentive and very helpful. We arrived late and a cold supper was available for us in the restaurant and on the morning we were leaving we had a breakfast very early in the restaurant which was really an exceptional service. We were on a half board basis and for dinner there is a choice between a large restaurant where a buffet is served and a smaller restaurant where there is table service. All,the food is cooked fresh in front of you in the self service for both breakfast and dinner. We had an unfortunate experience on the first night in the restaurant but on the second occasion that we used it we were most satisfied so we believe that the experience on the first night was just unfortunate . We mentioned this to,the receptionist and she asked if we could discuss with the director but we decided against as otherwise our stay had been perfect. Would definitely return to this hotel. Bus to Palma stops directly outside hotel!

This hotel scores very highly in some respects but lets itself down on others. The plus points are the beautiful pool area, the magnificent view from the room balcony , the plentiful food at the breakfast buffet , the helpful staff and the hugely convenient bus service in to Palma. The downside was the size of the bedroom. Room 601 was clean and comfortable but was much smaller than you may expect from a hotel of this standard. Our expectations were raised by the manager who confirmed at check in that we would be given a lovely room so it was disappointing to receive such a small room. The air conditioning in the room was also very ineffective and although the temperature was not that high being late october we did have difficulty sleeping due to the heat in the room. The final point relates to the safe. I have never been charged to use a safe in a room before so was quite surprised to be charged a daily rate. Overall a lovely hotel in a beautiful area and would probably return due to the beautiful surroundings but would want to know that i could get a bigger room next time.

This is my fifth visit to the palace bonanza Paya hotel and each time it exceeds my expectations. I have been bringing groups to this hotel for several years and my customers love it .... often returning each year. Where do I start ? Kind, engaging staff in all areas of the hotel, amazing location, spotlessly clean hotel, great facilities, evening entertainment & delicious food. I would defy anybody to find fault with the hotel. Top marks to staff & management for maintaining such a consistently great hotel. See you next year 😉
