Another good JS hotel this group surely know how to treat the traveler on a budget , great rooms comfy beds fluffy towels even free room slippers , a great bar area and outdoor seating looking out to sea , all in all a very enjoyable stay therefore happy to recommend .
Long weekend at JS Ca'n Picafort. Great location on sea front. Food was good. Reception staff were very helpful sorting out a mix-up with our reservation. Room was clean. My only complaint would be the awful sewage smell in the toilets downstairs from reception.
We have just got back actually we were there last year same hotel but things have changed ,the main thing being the food last year the food was ok but not great this year it was simply awful ,breakfast for me consisted of eggs bread and cheese ,there was no English breakfast at all ,it was all German or Spanish ,I stopped eating it ,then there was evening meal which was even worse no English food at all they have theme nights from different countries to be fair it was really awful the fish was sitting in some strange liquid the chicken was the same awful ,enough about the food ,we had no WIFI for a full week reported it twice nothing changed had to go down to reception to use it even then it was hitty missy ,we had paid extra for a sea view ended up with a side sea view when I questioned this was given a sea view the next day but couldn't unpack till the next day it should have been sorted before we got there ,that said the location is great and to be fair we will go back again but would be great if they could give us English a good breakfast and a home from home English meal at night time we had to pay extra to eat out after paying almost 900 euro for the hotel for 7 nights another great thing is the cleanliness of the place and most of the staff are pleasant .
When we got to this hotel we were put in a terrible room. We specifically asked for side or front sea view but got put in a middle room on the 5th floor. It was very small, hot and the balcony was like a fire escape with views to the inner floor and other balconies. I don't know how the hotel justified putting people in these rooms. We complained to the manager and were moved to a side sea view room the next day. The room was cleaned regularly and the hotel was in an ideal position overlooking the sea. This hotel caters mainly for Germans as they are the majority guests there. We stayed half board but had to eat out most nights as we found the food cold all the time as mentioned in other reviews for this hotel so the hotel haven't done anything to change this despite lots of reviews about cold food. I would return to this hotel but on a room only basis. The resort is great, lots of bars and restaurants. If you like kebabs try doner king near Burger King. The train trip is good which costs 4 euros and takes you around the resort. Returning next year to this resort but will try another hotel purely due to food, otherwise this hotel's location is great.
The hotel and its nearby area is very nice, the scenery from our hotel room was breathtaking (we had a room with a balcony that faced the ocean). The staff were very helpful and kind, the breakfast and dinnoer was delicious. The rooms were cleaned every day, and we were able to choose whether we would like to have our bedsheets changed or not. WiFi internet was a bit slow and the signal was very weak from the room (1st floor). Our room didn't have a fridge so we couldn't cool our drinks, which was a bit unsatisfying, but all the other things were OK. I definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!
This place exceeded our expectations. Fabulous balcony view of the sea, right on the beach. Good pool, staff speaks enough English to get by. Plenty of restaurants and bars right around the corner, and they don't try to gouge tourists. Would stay here again for sure.
Comfortable rooms nice dishes with fish and local culinary dishes. We enjoyed the great Terrace 30 m from the pure sea waves! The coast is it's full equipped with umbrella bed and safe! Everything is very clean and close to the mediterranean nature!
We stayed at this hotel for a week. The location of the hotel is perfect, right on the beach. It is also located directly in front of a busy promenade. There are several supermarkets in walking distance of the hotel, stocked with all the essentials of a beach holiday. The room we stayed in was fairly small, with limited space for putting our suitcases. There is no fridge, which we found quite disappointing. There were also very few outlets, leaving us with no place to charge our gadgets. We only found two sockets in the entire room, one of which was in the bathroom. This would not have been an issue, aside from the fact that the electricity in the room relied on the room key. This meant that when we left the room, bringing our only room key, there was no electricity in the outlets. This left us unable to charge our stuff unless we stayed in the room. We paid to have both breakfast and dinner included for the duration of our stay. The breakfast was lovely, with a range of options for any tastes. The dinner, however, was the biggest let down of this trip. There are daily themes to the dinner buffet such as "oriental" and "spanish specialties". We were only able to power through dinner here twice until we decided we would rather spend the extra money and find decent food at other resturant (of which there are plenty in the nearby area of the hotel). The hotel food was completely unappealing. It looked strange, smelled strange and tasted strange. In addition, while the food was inclusive, drinks of any kind was not. Would not reccomend to anyone! The staff of the hotel were great. The receptionists were always helpful, and greeted us every time we walked in. We decided to spend a day in alcudia, which is only a short trip away by bus for less than €2 per person! The receptionists were very helpful and found us a timetable and directed us to the bus station. Though the food was not great, the waiting staff was lovely! The cleaning staff also did a gerat job. The rooms were always clean by the time we got back from the beach.
Lovely clean hotel. Great location with great views. The terrace is lovely to sit with a nice cocktail watching people go by, also a lovely breeze there. Room was ok but the air conditioning stopped during the early hours on a regular basis which meant waking up to a warm stuffy room. No tea making facilities or mini fridge so had to wait for shops to open. Tried buying a bag of ice and putting in bathroom sink with small bottles of water but this didn't help as room was so warm ice melted quickly. Serving staff spoke very little English so even ordering a cup of tea proved difficult! Most of the resort seemed to cater for the German tourist of which there were many! We found a great English bar called Williams Bar which catered for our needs with a much loved mug of tea in mornings and daily paper supplied which was a nice touch, Pool facilities not adequate for the amount of guests, pool quite small and again Germans hogging all sunbeds. The resort is beautiful but this experience had been ruined by constant haggling from street sellers all day and evening EVERY day, they were even allowed into restaurants to pester you while you were eating. No escape even while on the beach, constantly interrupted by fruit sellers, massages, or jewellery so would not recommend for a nice relaxing holiday.
We arrived at our hotel early in the morning, much later than expected and were greeted by a member of staff who was friendly and helpful, offering us tea or coffee after a long journey. The hotel and room was clean and quiet, maid service was quick and efficient. Food was presented to a good standard with plenty of choice. On our departure date when our transport failed to arrive, we were very grateful to find that a staff member on reception called Isobel went over and above to ensure that we had transport arranged to the airport. We would recommend this hotel. Very happy.
