As the Hotel had only recently reopened for the season we expected everything to be working. However the bath handrail was broken in room 114 and the extractor in the bathroom did not work meaning the mirror steamed up when having a shower. This was reported to reception who said no problem but was not fixed in the 10 days we were there. It got warmer during our stay and because of the heat at night and the mosquitoes we decided to try the air conditioning but despite setting to minimum temperature it just blew warm air around the small room. Being diabetic l require somewhere to store insulin but there was no fridge in the room which i find amazing in this day and age. l was offered a space in the bar fridge. No tea and coffee facilities in the room. At breakfast staff were busy setting up for dinner at 9am while many people were still looking for a table and had to find there own cutlery etc. Staff were slow to replenish Hot food which was never hot, So glad we were only B&B
We spent few days there, located just cross tiny boardwalk to strand. The mattresses were perfect, one thing you find usually not very desirable in such hotels and wake up with pain on lower back, restroom were pretty neat and clean as well. Breakfast were pretty good but the dinner It wasn't as good as it should be. The only problem which I shared with frontdesk as well was internet connection which was very poor, and while we were there I could used it for few minutes, other than that the whole staff were very professional, helpful, friendly, and we really enjoyed our time over there. Thank you Maria and Marga!
Just back from JS Can Picafort.Location of the hotel is great.Oposit my room lovely view on the beach.Aircon not working but not need it every day.One socket in the room only.Food very good and lovely loung area for relax.Im planning back to this hotel in May.
A hotel should have two emissions: 1) respect for private guests and 2) the feeling of being at home. Well these two qualities demonstrates this hotel. Very friendly waiters of which two must be mentioned in my view, Jesus and Anastasia, not that others are less, but still ... the little extra. The cleaning group do their work over properly. In your room you will find a card with the name for whom you room is directly in charge. The kitchen certainly worth mentioning. Each well cared for. The ratio for this hotel price quality definitely ok. already at the reception you will find a friendly welcome. The location is very good, right on the sea. I would say a place to be.
Ist time stay in the JS and have to say it was well worth the money. We booked bead and breakfast for 12 days. Hotel is good, food was great but then we only had breakfast. My only compliant was the rooms were a bit on the small side but in fairness to JS we could have upgraded our room. The beach was right across from the hotel and was a good size, great for swimming and snorkeling. Ca'n Picafort is a good resort not to busy but enough going on and certainly no larger louts which is always a bonus. I would have no problem booking again for next year, great holiday.
Our holiday wishlist was beachfront location and sea view and what we got was even better than expected! We couldn't get enough of the view from our balcony or from the beach terrace and spent some happy hours people watching or just watxhing the lovely clear sea. We could leave the hotel and be straight on the beach and still have hotel wifi! Bonus! Hotel is clean and modern but never seemed crowded although was fully booked! Special thanks to Vallentin, Anastasia and Jesus who were always friendly and helpful! Our room was cleaned daily by Eli which was lovely to come back to after a hard days sunbathing! The ladies on reception were always very helpful too. Food was plentiful with lots of variety and we were always full! All in all a lovely three star hotel which exceeded our expectations. The town is lovely with lots of bars and restaurants to visit and shops to look around. Perfect resort for a quiet holiday and we didnt see any drunken or rowdy behaviour all week! There is a public bus that takes you into Alcudia for under 2 euros and the old town is lovely! I travelled with my friend and we were both sad to leave and would love to return one day. Thankyou Js Can Picafort for a perfect stay!
Just back from a week at JS Can Picafort with my boyfriend and we had a really, really great holiday. I was apprehensive about this hotel due to some negative reviews but it was actually really perfect for our needs. We wanted a beach front hotel and this certainly was that! The hotel lobby and bar area were lovely and our room was basic in decor but clean and really spacious which was great. We didn't pay for a sea view balcony so didn't expect one - some reviews are a bit unfair, I mean of course you can't expect a sea view if you didn't pay extra for that option, come on people! The food was a lot better than we were expecting... Not amazing quality but a nice big selection to choose from, and despite reviews that state otherwise there ARE different options every night. Albeit there are still a few staple dishes served every night such as pasta and the pudding options but the meat dishes were varied every evening and some were very nice. We were able to take our food and eat on the terrace in front of the sea which was really nice. Only downside was no option for free water at dinner (water, juices and teas/coffees are available and included with breakfast but not at dinner). A few members of staff were a bit dismissive and less than friendly but there are also some really nice waiting staff (shout out to Valentin- great guy). As other reviews mention, the entertainment was basic but this didn't bother us and we didn't intend to stay inside our hotel all evening. Can Picafort as a town is great with lots of bustle, shops, bars and a club or two which aren't half bad on a weekend night. Alcudia is only 10 mins away on the bus and a couple of euros and is well worth going to, especially the old town and the port/marina area. Due to our flight times we had a full day after we checked out of the hotel but the hotel gave us keys to a shower room with baggage rails to store our bags. We also had to eat away from the hotel that evening as we had checked out and the restaurants nearby are actually really decent. The one right next to the hotel on the right, although it looks a bit naff, has a great deal of a whole meal with salad, chips, garlic bread and wine/beer included for 12 euros, and we were surprised when they brought us practically a whole bottle of wine each as included in the price. The food was really nice too. Wifi available free throughout hotel and even extends to the beach! One negative was that when we arrived to check in we were told we had to pay a 'holiday tax' and pay it upfront there and then, only 1 euro a day per person but still, we were glad we had euros on us already for this and it was a bit annoying but not a massive expense. Overall a great holiday, thank you!
I have been there with my partner for 4 days/3nights. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The view is just stunning from both the terrace if the hotel and the balcony of our room. The beds were really comfy and there was some nice night entertainment without affecting the silence in the rooms. Some food was great, some other was OK. We missed expresso coffee (the real one, not the one from the coffee machine) and natural orange juice in the breakfast. Though we ate with big quantities as it was buffet service. As for the cleaning of the rooms, I would say it was OK. The floor and the glasses have not been cleaned during our stay, but the room was clean. In general, I would recommend this hotel for beach lovers.
First in English: With my wife, we spent our holiday in the Js Can Picafort hotel between 21th to 28th in August. Room, hotel, location: We booked the room (frontal sea view, half board) on the hotel's website in January. We got the perfect room with an amazing view to the Bay of Alcudia. We couldn't get enough!! The beach was in front of the hotel The room was practical, spacious , well-furnished and clean. We found only two things to change. We had only one 220V electric outlet, so it was difficult to recharge 2 phones, photo, and a camera. The next that the safebox was working with a safety-card, not a PIN code. Something else to lose. The accomodation was good, we got a breakfast buffet, and buffet dinner too. The served meals for breakfast was nearly the same every day, but had enough variety to eat different meals in every day. Dinner varied day to day. We were served Spanish dishes, and different paellas every day. Everything was delicious. We had a bar in the hotel also, but it was small-scaled as the neighbours. The staff was very kind, polite. Thanks for everyone!! One story: an old man from the hotel got trouble in the water, the lifeguard took him out of the water, and called the ambulance. When the director Lady of the hotel got to know this, rushed to the site to help, and to monitor the process of the hospitalization. I have never seen such kind help! The story had a happy-end, the man after a day returned, and continued his holiday. All in all everything was great, I have only good opinion! Great thanks for the whole staff! It was one of our best holidays! I recommend the Js Can Picafort hotel for everybody, try it!! Nagy köszönet a teljes személyzetnek!! Az egyik legjobb nyaralásunk volt! Ajánlom mindenkinek a JS Can picafot-ot, próbálja ki!
After reading some of the reviews I was a bit worried what I had booked. On arrival, the first thing you notice is the sea view....stunning. We had a sea view room on 5th floor with the same amazing views; it was lovely to open the door and hear the sea. The room was very clean with very comfortable beds, aircon was on all the time and didnt turn off at midnight. The only thing that lets this hotel down is the food which is barely warm.. Having said that there wasn't much difference in price between B&B and half board so we ate out most nights. The hotel was very quiet and we slept very well. Would definitely stay here again.
