Hotel HSM Reina del Mar

Firstly the hotel is up a hill away from the main shops and beach. The hotel staff are friendly and house keeping were excellent. When we asked for an extra pillow we were expecting it to be the following day, but no it arrived in minutes. From reading previous reviews, we were looking for a treat at meal times, very disappointed. Left over chips from the night before for breakfast. In the 5 days we were there not once was there any bacon available. One day the pool was closed, not sure why but better safe than sorry as you hear some horrid stories. There is free WIFI but it is very slow.

Visited majorca for the very first time the hotel was fantastic spotless enjoyed my stay.food was lovely staff were very nice made friends with one of the waitresses. food wasn't boring nice lots to choose from. The only problem is the steep hill where the hotel is not good for people with disabilities, other than that it's lovely.Had a nice break enjoyed my holiday.

I'd give this hotel 3/5 stars. Half way into our week here and all in all good. The food is amazing, different foods at dinner every night and cooked breakfast with lots of options available every day. Pool is nice and deep, quite small but is exactly as it is in the pictures! All staff are lovely and helpful, and are willing to help you with anything! 3 minute walk to the beach and main strip, although there is a big hill so not ideal for people who don't do hills !!! Cons: There is no air con in the rooms!! When we asked if there was a fan we got told none available and had to go to a shop and buy one for 22 euros, the rooms are very hot and many people sleep out on balconys! Also no fridge, you have to pay 39 euros to rent which isn't ideal! Wifi is free everywhere, although can be slow sometimes !! Very noisy hotel so wouldn't think it is ideal for children, a lot of German men here (partying). Evening entertainment some nights with good music for everyone ! All in all good for the money!

Stayed at the Reina del Mar for one week at the beginning of July 2017. The lobby, restaurant and public areas are immaculate, air conditioned and modern. The staff are friendly, the pool is big enough and has just enough sunbeds. The food was fab- a buffet dinner and breakfast with plenty of options. Breakfast included a selection of hot foods, cereals, pastries, and fruit. Dinner is equally as varied, with enough options for even the fussiest of eaters. The rooms themselves are basic and less modern than the public areas, but are functional. The balcony is nice for socialising or taking a break from the sun. The only reason it is 4* is because of the lack of air con in the rooms, although fans can be rented for €10 a week. Location wise, the hotel is a mere 3 minute walk from the beach and the busy strip of El Arenal, about 20 meters from a large supermarket and a short 15 minute walk from Aqualand waterpark (which is pricey, but great) If you are not put off by being surrounded by Dutch and Germans, I would completely recommend!

We stayed in this hotel from 25.06 to 05.07 and it was a pleasant, nice stay as far as i'm concerned. It's not absolute silence, but its far more quiet than similar hotels we visited so far. Staff are friendly and polite, always ready to help. Rooms are bit outdated, but nice and clean with enough space. All rooms have a balcony witch is quite useful and pretty spacious. Wifi is working just fine. We had few complaint though. There was no Air Conditioning, fridge, blow dryer. I think that these three elements could bring much higher rating to this hotel. To be fair, we didn't need AC that much in this period since nights wasn't that hot, but i'm not sure how does it feel in July or August. TIP: Since there is no AC, choose rooms on upper floors at the side opposite of swimming pool, facing the street. That way your room will stay away from direct sunlight during the day. And now, absolutely most awesome thing about this hotel. The dinner :) It was great and we loved it! Compliments to hotel restaurant manager, cooks and staff (Especially to Mr. Paco :))! They are most deserving for overall positive impression about this hotel

Hotel is a bit older and so are some of the facilities - for example my bed was a little bit torn under the sheets. But other than that we had a very nice and clean room with nice bathroom - looking just like the one in official pictures provided by the hotel. We had a balcony with sea view overlooking the pool area. Wifi is not too fast but it's free everywhere in the hotel. The only thing to complain about are the elevators due to how many people think it's okay to block it or need a ride from 1st floor or something. Food was good - we never left hungry and that's what counts. The staff was always nice and helpful - I would especially like to mention very nice waiters in the dining area and always smiling miss receptionist. The beach is about 5-10 mins walk but it's a bit climb up the hill back to the hotel so don't be surprised. There are two big grocery stores just around the corner. During the night it can be a little noisy because of not so well-behaved germans everywhere. It's good value for the price.

Room good size cleaner in every day which was nice had trouble sleeping as room very hot no air conditioning hired a fan which helped s bit. Loved hotel and pool area. Food good variety plenty to eat. Bar staff very friendly. Reception staff helpful but not very chatty . hill up to hotel a bit hard work. Beach fantastic quieter up Can Pastiell area. Overall nice hotel but area a bit too busy for us.

Hotel was fine once you climbed the hill to get there, pleasant staff very polite, the pool area was really nice until lots of young boys come and started playing gangster music so loud it vibrated thou you....food ok all in all a nice hotel.....the area outside and streets are covered in dog mess...the Spanish do not believe in picking it up disgusting smell and my husband stood in it more then once ..filth...so if you take little children there beware!! ..its a very german area and I feel a lot of shops and restaurants catered for that.....beach is beautiful thou....would not go back to el arenal again thou....to hilly....to smelly and not enough English bars ..

The hotel is 4-5 minutes walking away from the beach. Restaurants and all kind all stores are very close to the hotel. Breakfast and dinner had a very good buffet with multiple choices of food. All rooms have a balcony, room was small but clean. The personal is very kind (we would like to thank Amanda and Maribel for all their support during our visit). The hotel doesn't have a fridge or a hairdryer in the room, but you can request them from the reception (for the fridge there is a rate to be paid). Also, you can request a fan.

Nice Hotel, Friendly professional staff, clean rooms and pool, nice bar, no complaints for the money we paid, good value, also best gin & tonics in Mallorca, special mention to Paco who always made us feel welcome.
