Nice location for relaxing far away from the busy city. The hotel offered a buffet breakfast that was really a treat. I had luck on my side with 20-25 degree weather in the middle of March. There is a cafeteria and a restaurant at the hotel. There are other restaurants within a short walking distance. I recommend the walk to the beach, which is 160 steps down to an inlet beach. Beautiful!
Ona Cala Pi Club is situated in a quit area of Mallorca. You need a car to get there. But it's a good place to stay. Especially with familie or children. It is a pity the pools were closed in March. About the two-bedroom appartment: Spacious apartment with two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, patio area [for washing etc], bathroom and balcony. Every day, the apartment is cleaned and the beds made. The bathroom has a bath where you can shower [nice shower!] And a wc, bidet and washbasin. There is a hairdryer. The kitchen has an oven / microwave, fridge freezer, toaster, juicer and enough plates, cups, glasses and cutlery etc. There is also a washing machine. The beds sleep well! Comfortable pillows too. One drawback: there is only paid internet and I found this quite pricey
We was in this hotel last year in april. The hotel located very far away from the city where you can buy food or drink, but hotel have a shop inside were the price was very high. Also hotel very nice a lot of tree, flowers room designe is original and so Spanish i liked it. We had a half board and the food was the same all week. Internet cost - no free Wifi. Or i came to the this hotel again?? YES,YES, YES.
Cala Pi Club is a location we chose on the web looking at photos and reviews and OMG did we get it completely wrong: this is a "never again" place. The other reviewer who titled this location a "dump" is fairly accurate. First of all the location is very remote, accessible via secondary roads and about 45 minutes from animated locations. Fine place for of a day excursion but not for staying. Locally there is very little else than the hotel, a couple of restaurants and the Cala Pi. The management mentality of the "hotel" is that of "nickel and diming" you for basics expected to be an integral part of the offer in a "club" type resort. For example an extra charge is imposed for the room safe (antiquated model), same for pool towels, and WIFI is outrageously ransom-priced. It is particularly aggravating that the area is so remote that 3G coverage is very poor in the room. Other notable issues include derelict aspect of signage (see photos) which seem to have not seen any maintenance in a decade, poor upkeep of public areas, lack of renovations, garbage cans in full view all day in resort areas, broken showers and so on. When we asked for additional pillows since we had only one each, the staff refused. We had to go and buy our own at IKEA to have a satisfactory rest. In my book this is never again and given the 1 score. It was evident to us that the photographic depiction of the location has very little to do with the current quality and aspect of the location.
We booked this place for a week through Interval after depositing our Marriott timeshare. There is no way this place could be called gold standard. The location is beautiful (views of the Mediterranean from bedroom and living room balcony on 3rd floor and rooftop terrace) but the place is run down and out of date. It doesn't come close to the quality of Marriott, Intrawest or Westin time shares. Floor tiles are broken. The bed is extremely uncomfortable and thin. Sheets are thin and won't stay on the bed. Towels are thin and would be used for rags at our house! The kitchen is ill equipped with assorted flatware (3 spoons, 7 knives, 4 forks, 4 tablespoons). There is no oven. The kitchen light is dim and dead bugs are in the globe of the light. There is one outlet only in the kitchen that must be shared between the microwave, coffee maker, toaster and electric tea kettle. There was an outdoor stone grill on the rooftop terrace but there were no instructions as to what you had to burn (charcoal, wood) and no grill brush or tools. Dishes were not complete. Glassware minimal with no large tumblers for iced tea or water. No serving bowls for side dishes of meals other than one glass bowl. Pots and pans were minimal and scratched, most likely because they don't give you the correct tools for the no stick surface. Washing machine in kitchen had no instructions for using-everything on the front loading machine was written in Spanish. Living room and bedroom balcony chairs are cracked. Rooftop terrace has same cracked plastic chairs and two sunbeds that appeared to be leftovers from when the pool sunbeds were replaced. They charge for everything. No free wifi, which is no longer a luxury in our opinion. Five euros per device per day (we had two phones and an iPad). Pool towels were another charge at 8 euros per week (we were not bringing beach towels from the US). The bedroom safe was 4 euros/day or 19 euros for the week. They give you 3-4 coffee filters for the week and one very small bar of hand soap. One bottle of laundry detergent for one load of clothes and a small bottle of dish detergent were provided in our "welcome pack" which worked for us because you cannot easily cook meals here. Fortunately I brought some washing machine tablets. We ate dinners out because cooking in was not possible in an easy way. In talking to an owner who bought a week here 20 years ago, she even admitted it was "tired" looking. Another couple from Scotland who were here on an exchange said the place was "tired looking" as well and would not recommend to anyone. Pictures on the walls are faded out and furniture is shabby and outdated. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless it is overhauled completely. Even replacing towels with decent quality ones is a cheap improvement as well as a comfortable bed and no charges for internet. It's a shame because the location is lovely.
I am returning every year, and there is a reason for it. I love the resort: the apartments are spacious, the food is great, the customer service is exemplary. and the location is just what I need, close to the airport, close to Palma, but in a smaller community. What makes this place special is the smiles: staff smile because they are pleased to serve and holidaymakers smile too because they feel relaxed and listened to.
Went here unfortunately as part of our time share swap. What a disappointment!! Supposed to be a gold standard swap and in no circumstances was this a gold swap, we swapped our week in a very high standard resorting Quinta de lago in Portugal for for this dump of a place. Our two bed roomed apartment was old, rundown and in need of a redecoration, the bathroom, well it didn't even have a fan of any description in it so after the first person went in for a shower, which was just one over the bath, it steamed up and smelt terrible of mould and damp, we left the door open of the bathroom just to let some air in! The towels wasn't changed until the Thursday, we was only here for a week and leaving on the Saturday morning! Sheets did get changed on the Tuesday, which seemed such a bazaar system. There was five adults staying here and they didn't have the amenities for five people, including the bedding and towels for the sofa in the main room, had to go and ask for them. Everything was extra, wifi, water, electricity and anything else that they could put money onto including a local map, which most hotels give for free, unbelievable, the staff was abrupt not a welcoming place. The pool area was nice and clean, the pool beds was a little mouldy as well, only went down there once. We had the apartment near the supermarket which had a constant droning of air conditioning units all night and it certainly wasn't a peaceful place to sleep, running up and down of children on the stairs which of course the management could do nothing about, but it all added to a very very disappointing stay at this accommodation. Cala Pi is a small peaceful nice hamlet with a nice beach and some reasonable restaurants. Can imagine it gets over bearable in the summer.
pluses - Good location if you like calm place, close to Palma and airport, nice beach with lagoon good walking routes. Everything is reachable with car, also is possible to use transfer service. Hotel is clear and roomy.
We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment with full facilities. The accommodation was a little "tired" and in need of renovation but otherwise clean with everything available. Facilities onsite were excellent with nice pools and entertainment for adults and children. Parking could be difficult with available spaces (roadside) being taken quickly. Although there is a daily bus service to Palma, a car is recommended.
noise kids fat people no views nowhere to walk tiny beach down 120 steps wifi was 20 euros hot food was not hot staff try but the place was just worn out shower over bath old old old no parking on site remote
